Story Role

Huo Yuhao's Arrival at Sea God Island

At Asura God's request, the Sea God agrees to provide Huo Yuhao with a God-Bestowed Soul Ring, despite objecting that it would consume Sea God Island's faith power. He sets conditions: Huo Yuhao must receive a black-grade-or-higher assessment, neither god may interfere with absorption, and the ring's age is limited only by Huo Yuhao's own capacity. 221

When Huo Yuhao arrives, the Sea God attempts to grant him a golden divine trial and recruit him as an inheritor. Huo Yuhao refuses because he intends to pursue the Asura God Position and eventually forge a god position through the Spirit Pagoda's shared faith between humans and soul beasts. 224

Trials and the God-Bestowed Soul Ring

The Sea God reluctantly honors his agreement after Huo Yuhao reaches the one-thousand-and-first step. Huo Yuhao pushes the God-Bestowed Soul Ring to nine hundred thousand years, then successfully absorbs it as a million-year soul ring and gains his first God Ring. 226 227

Huo Yuhao continues the Sea God Island trials, defeating all seven Sacred Pillar Guardians despite restrictions on divine power and Soul Spirits. His Martial Soul's evolution produces an ability capable of suppressing divine power and harming gods, alarming both the Sea God and Asura God. 231 233 234

Battle with Huo Yuhao

During Huo Yuhao's fifth trial against Bo Saixi, the Sea God descends into her Sea God phantom and exposes that she had deliberately held back. 236

He then offers Huo Yuhao an additional battle: victory would secure Sea God Island's full support for the Spirit Pagoda and guarantee Bo Saixi's safety during the god-position inheritance. Huo Yuhao accepts and fights the Sea God's fifty-percent-strength projection. 237

Huo Yuhao freezes the decisive attack with Time, severely wounds the Sea God, and wins. The Sea God acknowledges defeat, commits Sea God Island to supporting the Spirit Pagoda, and promises to personally protect Bo Saixi. 238

Bo Saixi's Inheritance

After Huo Yuhao agrees to help Bo Saixi condense a Soul Core, the Sea God upgrades her assessment to the Sea God's Nine Trials and recognizes her as his heir. 239 244

Bo Saixi later becomes a Sea God, demonstrating that the Sea God's divine position has passed to her. 322
