The Emperor of Latveria drew the Avengers into his plans while preparing to exploit Wakanda’s opening and succession crisis. Erik Killmonger defeated T’Challa and claimed the throne, leaving Shuri to seek help as the Latverians prepared their contingency plan.

• The Emperor secured Steve Rogers’s support for Latveria, questioned Bucky Barnes, and released evidence accusing American officials of Hydra crimes.
• Latveria sent Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, and Bucky Barnes to Siberia, where they encountered Tony Stark and the Emperor drew Natasha Romanoff into his intelligence plans.
• The Emperor ordered the Praetorian Guard to prepare for Wakanda’s succession crisis as Malcolm assembled the Hellfire Knights near Wakanda and Erik Killmonger returned to challenge T’Challa.

• Natasha Romanoff heard Salomon’s space-expansion plans but stayed focused on her assignment, while Salomon ordered Ruby Hale’s enhanced training and prepared an assault on Planet Hala.
• Salomon visited Odin with Cassilius, survived Odin’s challenges, and earned Gungnir and an oath to protect Asgard’s people after Ragnarok.
