The Emperor built Eridu into a stronghold while pursuing the Kree, Hydra, and the forces Behind the Curtain, and he uncovered the Celestials’ plans for humanity. The arc left Hammurabi rescued from the Outer Dimensions and Salomon reunited with Natasha Romanoff.

• Captain Miller joined the Obeid people, taught their children, and later helped establish Eridu’s schools and writing system as the Emperor made the city his first stronghold.
• Tita led the Sisterhood’s assault on the Kree station, and the Emperor entered the Sea of Souls to strengthen her as she fought the defenders.
• Agamotto revealed the Emperor’s connection to the Seventh Throne and warned that the Outer Dimensions threatened Earth, while the Emperor learned he had eight thousand years to prepare humanity.
• The Emperor met Icarus and revealed that the Celestials treated humanity and the Eternals as crops, but Icarus refused to help until he consulted Kronos.
• Captain Miller led an expedition against the Kree and Hydra, while Hammurabi’s squad fought parasites and Inhumans before Hammurabi entered a fog filled with Outer Dimensional creatures.
• The Emperor captured the Kree research base and learned that Icarus would cooperate if the Emperor granted his wish for death and found the Earth Machine.
• Hammurabi endured a long hunt through the Outer Dimensions until a black-armored Spirit of Vengeance rescued him, while Bayonetta’s circle investigated the Brotherhood of the Shield and Salomon’s whereabouts.
• Bayonetta traced Salomon’s history through the Euphrates Blood Pact, and Natasha Romanoff found him in Houston, where he promised to give her a child.

Salomon faced Odin in a duel that ended with Odin’s death and the threat of an interstellar war looming over Earth. He assembled allies and a military expedition, then reached Asgard, where he agreed to help Thor fight Hela and evacuate the Asgardians.

• Natasha questioned Salomon about his age and plans, then learned that he had named one of his children Telemachus.
• Natasha accompanied Salomon to California, where he met the Immortal Man and helped her begin plans to rescue the Black Widows from the Red Room.
• Yelena joined Natasha at the guarded villa and negotiated to work for Salomon in exchange for support and medical care for the Black Widows.
• Salomon brought Gungnir to the Faroe Islands and fought Odin as storms and freezing weather spread across Earth.
• Hela attacked Thor and Frigga, but Bayonetta and Jeanne intervened before the Emperor and Odin ended their duel and agreed to face the gods Behind the Curtain.
• After Odin and Frigga died, Salomon recovered Gungnir and began preparing for war, while Tony Stark agreed to join his expedition and support his plans.
• Salomon assembled an expedition of soldiers and Helicarriers, then led it through the Outer Dimensions to Asgard.
• The Emperor agreed to help Thor fight Hela and evacuate the Asgardians in exchange for Odin’s throne technology, and Thor assigned Tony Stark and Steve Rogers to help Heimdall evacuate civilians.
