The Human Emperor’s forces assaulted Attilan while its sorcerers’ ritual unleashed horrors and Black Bolt fought through the Kymellian settlement. The Emperor spared Black Bolt and sent him back with a warning, but Black Bolt returned to find the Gene Council massacred and Crystal’s sister gravely injured.

• Medusa ordered the Kymellian Clan sorcerers to continue their ritual as Attilan’s shields failed, while their sacrifices began to suffer grotesque deaths.
• Gronov Rutov’s squad entered the Kymellian slums, found civilians mutilated, and joined Derrick Xian in investigating the out-of-control ritual and the settlement’s shield.
• Black Bolt bypassed the shield and entered the settlement as Gene-modded Warriors and Derrick Xian fought through the Sorcerer Tower, where Black Bolt’s allies suffered losses and he was buried by a trap.
• The Emperor ordered forces into position against Attilan while Derrick Xian battled an Outer Dimension Psychic Energy Entity and Black Bolt’s forces pursued the invaders through the tower.
• Black Bolt confronted Derrick Xian, and the Emperor arrived to explain his war, heal Lockjaw and Derrick Xian, and order Black Bolt to stop the Gene Council from launching Terrigen Missiles.
• The Human Monarch sent Black Bolt back to Attilan with a warning, while Tetanus teleported him and the surviving warriors away and Derrick Xian departed to hunt another monster.
• Black Bolt returned to find the Gene Council Hall strewn with corpses, then learned from Crystal that assassins had attacked the representatives and her sister was gravely injured.
• Black Bolt lost control of his voice in shock and grief, killing someone he knew.

Black Bolt centralized Attilan’s command as the Human Army destroyed the Kymellian settlement and pressed toward the remaining Inhuman defenses. Crystal tried to save Medusa with Maximus’s help, but he escaped and gathered deserters as Aparajita prepared another assault.

• Crystal backed Black Bolt’s return to command, and he unified Attilan’s military while ordering the arrest of Wizarding Council members in the Gene Council.
• Matriarch Onomi learned that the Kymellian Clan had failed to retake the White Room, while Matriarch Aevo prepared to intercept their reinforcements.
• The Emperor explained the threat he believed Attilan posed and led Gronov Rutov’s squad into the Sorcerer Tower’s underground complex, where they uncovered imprisoned Psionics and human experimentation.
• Derrick Xian, Amon, and Hannibal wounded the Outer Dimensional Entity, and the Emperor said it had been banished rather than killed.
• The Human Army devastated the Kymellian Clan settlement, while Black Bolt’s forces struggled with battlefield losses and Crystal sought medical supplies for the wounded.
• Crystal entered Medusa’s memories and learned that Medusa had suffered irreversible brain damage, then sought Maximus’s help to protect her consciousness.
• Maximus manipulated Crystal with psychic illusions, escaped after releasing the prisoners, and left Black Bolt ordering his capture alive.

As Malcolm’s army crushed Attilan’s defenses, Maximus’s bid for the throne became the ritual vessel for an Outer Dimensional Entity. Black Bolt agreed to work with the Human Monarch to protect the Civilian Clans and set out to find Maximus, while the battle continued around Attilan’s ruins.

• Malcolm’s forces steadily compressed the Mutant defenders, while Constantine gave Hamir a Psionic Beacon to summon Dimensional Rift veterans and Maximus gathered deserters to restore him to power.
• Maximus found a Kree cult and its silver greatsword, underwent its blood-soaked rites, and returned with Periel resurrected as the cult’s high priestess.
• The Emperor intervened in an Inhuman Psionic’s dream and warned that enemies Behind the Curtain were using Attilan and Thanos’ ideology to bring their power into reality.
• Black Bolt’s forces fought the Human Army as Maximus’s cultists sabotaged the decks, and the Emperor showed Jiaying the Kree origins of the Inhumans and Earth’s connection to the Aether.
• Maximus’s followers completed their ritual and summoned an angel that slaughtered them, while Outer Dimensional Entities emerged across the battlefield and attacked both armies.
• The Human Monarch showed Black Bolt that Maximus had become a vessel for the force Behind the Curtain, and Black Bolt agreed to find and kill his brother in exchange for conditions to protect his people.
• Black Bolt offered the Human Monarch the Gene Laboratory key and access to the royal armories in exchange for safety and supplies for the Civilian Clans, then challenged Maximus to meet him.

The Emperor’s forces fought through Attilan Star Fortress as Black Bolt and Maximus became Aether-hosted Beasts, while Constantine and the Praetorian Guards repeated their battle until they found a way to defeat them. The portal remained the target of a final mission as the Emperor turned his attention toward Kamar-Taj and Phylira’s cult descended toward the Gate of Heaven.

• Aparajita’s convoy fought through demons and the corrupted laboratory district, where Gene-modded Warriors secured researchers and battled upgraded Alpha Primitives and psychic mutants.
• Black Bolt and Maximus fought across the Star Fortress as Aether Energy transformed them, while the Emperor explained that he had split the entity between them to weaken it.
• The Emperor joined Aparajita’s forces in the Inhuman residential district and led the hunt for Aether creatures through the fortress.
• Constantine, Catherine, Vera, and the Praetorian Guards fought the transformed brothers in repeated attempts until they severed the Aether entity’s anchor and defeated them.
• The Emperor briefed diplomats on the alien threat, then ordered Victor von Doom to help seal Attilan’s portal while keeping the Gene-modded Warriors ignorant of the truth Behind the Curtain.
