Background

Luo Chen is a transmigrator and orphan from Spirit Emperor Village. Upon awakening, he received Innate Full Soul Power at level 20 and two exceptionally powerful Martial Souls: the sacred Six-Winged Angel and the poisonous Death Spider Emperor. The combination makes him fear exposure to both the Qian family and Bibi Dong’s faction. 1

Before departing his village, Luo Chen left most of his earnings with the village chief who had cared for him, retaining only travel expenses. He set out alone toward the Star Dou Great Forest to obtain soul rings. 1

At Nuoding City Junior Soul Master Academy, he witnessed Tang San’s confrontation with the academy guards and recognized both Tang San and his concealed Tang Sect weaponry. 1 Yu Xiaogang subsequently attempted to intimidate and recruit him, but Luo Chen instead accepted a wager, defeated Yu Xiaogang with the Death Spider Emperor, and took the Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges and part of the promised gold payment. 2 3 4

While hunting in the Star Dou Great Forest, Luo Chen obtained his first two soul rings and an External Soul Bone. He later returned to Nuoding City to collect the remainder of Yu Xiaogang’s debt, extracting additional compensation through threats. 7 9 10

Qian Renxue became interested in Luo Chen after their Six-Winged Angel Martial Souls resonated and she noticed their similar features. Her investigation and subsequent contact led to Luo Chen receiving a Six-Winged Angel token from Martial Soul Hall. 5 10 11

After being brought to Martial Soul City, Luo Chen triggered an extraordinary reaction from the Six-Winged Angel statue in Worship Hall. Qian Daoliu accepted him into the Worship Hall, extended him protection, and eventually came to treat him as a grandson. Luo Chen reciprocated outwardly, while recognizing Qian Daoliu’s protection as a powerful advantage. 14 15 16

During an expedition to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, Luo Chen used his knowledge of the Jade Phosphorous Serpent’s hereditary poisoning to negotiate with Dugu Bo. After consuming the Soul-Burial Lotus, he was unconscious for three days and his Death Spider Emperor evolved into the Death Spider God. 25 26 27

Luo Chen is self-reliant, pragmatic, and strongly motivated by survival and personal advancement. He avoids unnecessary risks, such as refusing to immediately target Xiao Wu because Tang Hao may be nearby, and delays action until he has greater certainty. 12 13

He is also calculating in interpersonal matters. He exploits Yu Xiaogang’s arrogance for money and equipment, deliberately presents himself as Qian Daoliu’s grandson to secure protection, and maneuvers Dugu Yan into disclosing information about Dugu Bo and the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. 3 10 16 23

Despite his opportunism, Luo Chen remembers kindness: he repaid the village chief’s care before leaving Spirit Emperor Village and develops genuine respect for Qian Daoliu and Guang Ling Douluo’s support. 1 17 18
