History

He rejected her caution and ordered her to draft a treaty demanding compensation, a share of future mission rewards and restrictions on Hidden Xuan’s work 106 107.
She later joined the border negotiations over Kumogakure’s captured ninja, stepping forward when Gentō’s ransom demands exceeded what Ay could pay 117 118. During Kumogakure’s campaign in the Land of Fire, she managed seized supplies, sending them home in sealing scrolls with the Heavenly Transfer Technique 159.
After Gentō defeated Ay and routed his army, he intercepted Mabui as she fled, restrained her and threatened to kill her unless she submitted. She agreed to leave Kumogakure and serve as his secretary. Gentō accepted, brought her to Hidden Xuan Village and formally appointed her his personal secretary 162 163 164.
Mabui soon took on substantial administrative work, organizing documents, resolving logistics and spotting errors in Land of Hot Water tax reports 164. She later supported Gentō’s plans in the Land of Lightning and helped Samui reorganize Kumogakure’s ninja under Hidden Xuan Village 211 232 238.
