Kunlun Mountain.
This mountain is known as the Ancestor Vein of Ten Thousand Mountains and is also called the Homeland of the Gods. With its undulating peaks and towering majesty, it is home to countless blessed lands, while the stars cast their light and purple clouds scatter their colors across the sky.
To the west of Kunlun lies the dojo of the Queen Mother of the West, a gathering place for many Primordial Female Immortals.
East Kunlun, however, is the seat of the Three Pure Ones' orthodoxy. The spiritual qi is dense, the Saintly Dao Charm permeates the void, and it is a holy land in the hearts of many seekers of the Dao.
Currently, it is the period of the Tribulation of Witches and Demons.
The Twelve Ancestral Witches, centered at Buzhou Mountain, dominate the Primordial World, while Demon Emperor Jun leads the billions of the Demon Race, occupying the boundless starry sky of the Primordial World.
Xuan Qing rode a long rainbow and landed on an unnamed peak, calling out in a clear voice, "Senior Brother Duobao, Xuan Qing requests an audience. I wonder if you have a moment?"
"Hahaha!"
Before the person was seen, his voice was heard. Upon hearing Xuan Qing's call, a slightly plump Daoist wearing a Qing-lotus crown and yin-yang robes stepped out from his cave dwelling. "So it is Junior Brother Xuan Qing!"
Daoist Duobao appeared extremely enthusiastic. "Junior Brother, you have come at the perfect time. I have just refined a new magic treasure called the Fire Repelling Cover, which can withstand the Samadhi True Fire. Would you like to test the power of this treasure with me?"
Upon hearing this, Xuan Qing immediately flattered him, "Senior Brother Duobao is truly a peerless genius. Your skill in artifact refining is divine; perhaps one day you will even rival our Second Martial Uncle!"
Daoist Duobao was overjoyed and, grabbing Xuan Qing, insisted on testing the power of the Fire Repelling Cover.
Xuan Qing was unfazed.
He had experienced this countless times. As a disciple of Sect Master Tongtian, Daoist Duobao had no interest in the Dao of the Sword or the Dao of Formations, but he was uniquely obsessed with artifact refining. It was truly somewhat heterodox. If not for Sect Master Tongtian's open-minded nature and the fact that the Three Pure Ones were still on good terms, he might have been expelled from the sect long ago.
Xuan Qing was not a person of this world. For some reason, he had transmigrated into the Primordial World and become one of the three thousand Innate Human Race created by Empress Nuwa herself. After many twists and turns, he finally entered the Jie Sect under Saint Tongtian, becoming the third personal disciple after Daoist Duobao and the Golden Spirit Holy Mother.
In his previous life, he had read countless novels related to the Primordial World, but only after truly transmigrating did he realize how vast the gap was between reality and imagination.
Don't ask him why he chose to join the Jie Sect despite knowing its eventual fate... He certainly didn't have a death wish; he simply had no other choice!
When he transmigrated, it was exactly when Empress Nuwa was creating humans and becoming a saint. However, Nuwa was quite irresponsible; after becoming a saint, she left directly for the chaos to establish her own dojo.
Well...
Nuwa hadn't done nothing. Before leaving, she had issued a decree to the Primordial World, ordering that no Primordial cultivator could infringe upon the human race for one yuan hui.
Of course, that was all.
Once Xuan Qing understood his situation, he began to seek a way out. As one of the three thousand Innate Human Race, his foundation was quite good by Primordial standards, as he was born at the peak of the Heavenly Immortal realm.
Unfortunately, Nuwa had left behind no method of cultivation. He possessed the potential for longevity but lacked the techniques to protect himself or the cultivation methods to raise his realm.
Other Heavenly Immortal cultivators could ride clouds and drive mist, summon wind and rain, move mountains and shift seas, or turn stones into gold, while he could only watch them with envious eyes.
Of course, he had tried to create his own cultivation method, breathing in the qi of heaven and earth and evolving supreme divine abilities, but he only ended up developing some heterodox paths.
For instance, using spiritual qi to form a shield around his body, condensing a large handprint, or triggering a massive explosion through the compression of spiritual qi.
The Primordial World had existed for countless yuan hui. Hongjun's preaching at Purple Heaven Palace and the establishment of the Immortal Dao system had happened over a hundred yuan hui ago. How could his individual wisdom compare to the wisdom of billions of beings?
Relying on himself?
Better to seek help from others!
After a thousand years of being beaten down, he found the mud pit where Nuwa had originally created humans and used the soil from it to sculpt a statue of the Holy Mother.
From then on, he began to kowtow and pray day and night, hoping that the Holy Mother would hear his call and respond to his prayers.
Doing this, of course, had its effect. A saint's divine powers are vast; even if one simply chants her name, she can sense it in the dark.
Whether she was willing to pay attention to you, however, was another matter entirely.
Perhaps it was because his heart was sincere, or perhaps she found Xuan Qing noisy, or perhaps Empress Nuwa felt that the statue Xuan Qing had sculpted failed to capture her beauty. Under Xuan Qing's day-and-night prayers, she finally responded to him once. Not only did she correct the statue he had "painstakingly sculpted" for her, but she also passed down a true method of cultivation.
That method was profound and vast, containing infinite mysteries of creation. It was called the Creation Yuan Gong. Xuan Qing studied it day and night, and finally, after several hundred years, he broke through to the True Immortal realm.
Unfortunately, the method was too abstruse. Even after studying it day and night, Xuan Qing had only grasped the surface. Without a master to explain its mysteries, he could not continue his cultivation and nearly suffered a qi deviation.
Fortunately, after transmigrating, he had imitated his predecessors by drilling wood to make fire, firing pottery, and sewing clothes... gaining a fair amount of merit and fortune, which prevented him from being killed by the backlash of the cultivation method.
During this time, he had considered asking Nuwa for guidance, but ever since that one manifestation, the statue had remained silent, and Nuwa had never responded to him again.
What a pitfall of a mother!
Xuan Qing had complained about the Holy Mother in his heart countless times, but he never dared to speak it aloud, fearing that his insolence would cause Empress Nuwa to strike him down with heavenly thunder.
He could only continue to learn through trial and error!
With merit upon him and the dense Innate Spiritual Qi of the current Primordial World, after ten thousand years, he finally raised his cultivation to the peak of the True Immortal realm.
It was then that he encountered the second noble person in his cultivation journey—Grand Pure One Laozi!
When Grand Pure One Laozi was searching for the Dao among the human race, Xuan Qing was extremely diligent, eager to cling to his leg. When he established his religion and became a saint, passing down the Golden Core Great Dao to the human race, Xuan Qing bowed to him immediately.
But unfortunately, The Grand Pure One saw the traces of the Creation Yuan Gong on him. Furthermore, The Grand Pure One felt that his own lineage required a "heart as clear as ice, unmoved even if the sky collapses," and that Xuan Qing's personality was unsuited for the Dao of Non-Action. He took Xuandu, who was also of the Innate Human Race, as a personal disciple, but never took Xuan Qing into his sect.
However, perhaps seeing that Xuan Qing's heart for the Dao was firm, that he possessed significant merit and fortune, and that he had served him day and night, he still brought Xuan Qing back to Kunlun Mountain and had him enter the sect of Sect Master Tongtian.
There was no other way!
Although the Innate Human Race was quite extraordinary, they were, after all, artificially created. Compared to those born of heaven and earth with great fortune, there was still a significant gap, and he could not catch the eye of the Primordial Lord of Heaven.
Better to be the head of a chicken than the tail of a phoenix!
Perhaps out of respect for The Grand Pure One, the Primordial Lord of Heaven might have accepted him as a registered disciple, but after careful consideration, he decided to join the sect of Tongtian.
"Born as a human, I am sorry!"
Xuan Qing had not failed to consider helping the human race of this era, but unfortunately, he currently possessed neither the ability nor the qualifications to do so.
After all...
Having listened to the sermons of Grand Pure One Laozi and Sect Master Tongtian in succession, he was now only at the Golden Immortal realm; in the Primordial Wilderness, he could only be considered an insignificant little shrimp!
In the current Primordial Wilderness, where Innate Spiritual Qi had yet to be severed and Hongjun was preaching at Purple Heaven Palace, it would be no exaggeration to say that Daluo were everywhere and Taiyi were no better than dogs!
