Background / History

Sasuke was one of the only survivors of the Uchiha clan massacre, alongside his twin, Mufeng Uchiha. During the massacre, Itachi used Tsukuyomi on Sasuke, leaving him unconscious while their parents were killed. 1

Overwhelmed by grief and revenge after returning to the Uchiha compound, Sasuke attacked Mufeng in a rage. Mufeng subdued him and persuaded him that pursuing Itachi immediately would only lead to death. Sasuke accepted Mufeng's offer to train him in Water Breathing after seeing its destructive power. 2

At the Ninja Academy, Sasuke trained relentlessly to overtake Mufeng, competed with Naruto Uzumaki, and gradually accepted Kakashi Hatake as an instructor. His drive to avenge the Uchiha remained the core of his ambition. 3 5
