Beigong Mo serves as the Academy Head of Chengtian Prefecture Academy and is regarded as Chengtian Prefecture's foremost martial artist. A veteran Great Grandmaster who had been famous for more than a century, he ordinarily remains in seclusion and leaves the academy's daily affairs to others. 71

When Chen An arrives and triggers the academy plaque's Extinction Blade Intent, Beigong Mo leaves seclusion to recruit him personally. He counters Pei Wendao's attempt to win Chen An over by offering to accept Chen An as his closing disciple and grant him unrestricted access to the Library Pavilion. 71

He formally takes Chen An as a personal disciple, promises eight million yuan crystals in annual cultivation resources, arranges Chen An's residence at Listening Waves Courtyard, and enrolls Chen An's companions from Wurong County. 72 73 74 He later gives Chen An a top-grade Earth-tier treasured saber and a hundred-cubic-meter spatial pouch. 75

During the Blood Demon Sect incident at Soul Severing Valley, Beigong Mo fights Xue Wuya using pure-yang true qi but is critically wounded when military advisor Cao Bin betrays him from behind.
