Afterward, the instructors for each class arrived at the classroom to collect their students.
Whenever these instructors reached the classroom, they would first cast a glance in Yeyu's direction.
They were incredibly curious about Yeyu.
Class after class of students were led away.
Before long, only Team 7 and Yeyu, who was slumped over his desk sleeping, remained in the entire classroom.
The classroom became exceptionally empty.
Naruto would sneak glances at Yeyu from time to time, and upon seeing him still asleep on his desk, he felt an inexplicable sense of relief.
Sasuke stared in Yeyu's direction for a long while, lost in thought, before he stood up.
Sakura, who had been keeping an eye on Sasuke the whole time, stood up as well. "Sasuke, where are you going?"
Naruto, who had been feeling uneasy, heard Sakura's words and looked toward Sasuke too.
Sasuke ignored them both and walked toward Yeyu.
Naruto was so startled he called out to stop him, "Sasuke, what are you doing? Don't go over there."
Sasuke shot a glance at Naruto, his mind deep in thought.
Yet, he didn't listen to Naruto, instead walking up to Yeyu with his hands in his pockets.
"Yeyu, you seem to be hiding something."
Sasuke sat on the desk next to Yeyu.
Yeyu didn't lift his head, nor did he even wake up.
He had little interest in the characters from the original story right now.
Seeing that Yeyu ignored him, Sasuke's gaze grew increasingly dangerous.
Naruto stood behind them, wanting to step forward and say something, but the moment he remembered Yeyu's terrifying appearance from last night, he couldn't bring himself to move his feet.
Sakura walked to Sasuke's side and looked at Yeyu.
She was also somewhat curious. "Yeyu-kun, how did you become a Chunin directly?"
"And it's so strange that you're the only one in your class."
Yeyu seemed to wake from his slumber, wiping away some non-existent drool.
He said with some impatience, "I don't know either. It was the Hokage who decided it, not me."
Sasuke felt a bit annoyed. Why didn't Yeyu wake up when he spoke, but woke up when Sakura asked?
And why did he only answer Sakura's question?
"You don't know?"
"I think you're the one who knows best. Skipping Genin to become a Chunin directly—that has never happened before."
"How could you not know?"
Although Sasuke was unhappy about being ignored by Yeyu, he was still somewhat jealous that Yeyu could become a Chunin directly.
After all, he was only twelve years old himself.
Yeyu glanced at Sasuke. "I really don't know."
"But this has nothing to do with you, does it?"
Sasuke and Sakura were momentarily at a loss for words.
It was true; even if Yeyu became a Chunin directly, what did that have to do with them?
After a moment of silence, Sasuke said, "You must have been hiding your strength while at the academy, right?"
"Why? Do you think that even I am not qualified to make you show your hand?"
Yeyu looked at Sasuke with a calm expression. "Perhaps not."
In the past, Yeyu was far inferior to Sasuke, but now the gap in their strength was like heaven and earth.
Unless Sasuke obtained the Six Paths Power, Yeyu would be unbeatable.
Yeyu knew very well that Sasuke, before obtaining the Six Paths Power, was absolutely no match for him.
Sasuke was stunned.
He hadn't expected Yeyu to actually admit it so bluntly, without even a hint of tact.
"Is that so? How would you know if you haven't tried?"
Sasuke clenched his fists, looking at Yeyu with a challenge in his eyes.
He would not allow anyone to surpass him, especially a classmate.
Yeyu did not respond to his challenge, his expression remaining as usual, as if he hadn't even realized Sasuke was provoking him.
With a calm expression, Yeyu said to Sasuke, "You seem to care quite a bit?"
Sasuke froze.
Yeyu's single sentence had struck right at the heart of his thoughts.
"There is no need. If you wish to become stronger, your only opponent will always be yourself. Even if you surpass others, does that mean you can surpass the person you have always wanted to surpass?"
Yeyu's words seemed cryptic, yet Sasuke's mind was shaken.
He stared at Yeyu in shock.
He, how could he know?
Sasuke had always wanted to kill Itachi Uchiha, his older brother, the sinner who had wiped out the entire Uchiha clan.
Sakura listened to their conversation, completely bewildered.
"What are you two talking about?"
Yeyu looked at Sasuke, his expression serene.
But Sasuke's eyes were filled with shock; Yeyu's words had instantly awakened him.
What had he been doing all this time?
Whenever he met someone who might be stronger than him, he would rack his brains to defeat them—what was the point of that?
Could these people really compare to Itachi Uchiha?
Even if he defeated all of them, would that mean he could defeat Itachi Uchiha?
That was simply not the case.
Whether he himself was constantly growing stronger was what mattered most.
Sasuke looked at Yeyu. "How did you know?"
He asked the question after all.
Yeyu remained calm. "A little bit of research is all it takes. After all, that is the Uchiha clan."
Sasuke muttered to himself, "The Uchiha clan?"
How long had it been since he heard that word?
Because of the annihilation of the Uchiha clan, many people avoided discussing the clan in front of Sasuke.
It had been a long time since he had heard that name.
Sasuke clenched his fists, looked up, and stared at Yeyu. "I want to challenge you. Do you really have the strength of a Chunin?"
"How far am I from being a Chunin right now?"
"That man is a Jonin. If I can't even beat a Chunin, it is impossible for me to defeat him."
"Yeyu, please help me test it."
Sasuke issued his challenge.
However, Sasuke's words terrified Naruto, who had been too afraid to approach them.
"Sasuke, have you lost your mind? Do you know how strong that guy is?"
"Mizuki—"
Naruto, about to mention Mizuki, covered his mouth.
Iruka had told him last night not to reveal what happened with Yeyu.
But keeping it inside made him feel terrible.
Sasuke turned his head to look at Naruto. "It seems you have seen his strength?"
Yeyu glanced at Naruto.
Noticing Yeyu's gaze, Naruto trembled in fear.
He hurriedly waved his hands to deny it. "I, I haven't seen anything. Don't talk nonsense."
Naruto was afraid that Yeyu would do to him what he did to Mizuki—beat him until he was covered in blood with a single punch.
"Is Naruto really this timid?"
Yeyu felt a bit puzzled.
The current Naruto was indeed very timid; during the mission to the Land of Waves, he had been so frightened by two Chunin that he couldn't move a muscle.
Not to mention that last night, Yeyu had smashed Mizuki into a bloody pulp with one punch, leaving a massive crater in the ground.
The visual impact was too great; Naruto couldn't forget it even if he wanted to.
Yeyu looked at Sasuke and said very calmly, "You are still very far off."
Sasuke gritted his teeth. "How would you know?"
"When have you ever seen my true strength?"
Sasuke was unconvinced, feeling that Yeyu was just being mysterious.
Perhaps his strength wasn't actually as great as his own?
Thus, Sasuke provoked him, "You don't dare, do you?"
BOOM
Suddenly, Sasuke felt a terrifying killing intent.
This mental shock nearly caused him to black out.
The horrific pressure made Sasuke feel as if he were instantly plunged into the depths of hell.
His mind simply couldn't withstand it.
Even the One-Tomoe Sharingan in his eyes manifested automatically.
Sasuke's body swayed, nearly collapsing.
Sakura, standing to the side, was stunned by the sight.
Seeing Sasuke about to fall, she hurriedly rushed over to support him.
