After steadying Sasuke, Sakura had no idea what Yeyu had done to him.
The pressure Yeyu had exerted just moments ago was directed solely at Sasuke.
Sakura hadn't sensed a thing.
"Yeyu, what did you do to Sasuke?"
Yeyu leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, and said in a calm tone, "Nothing, just let him experience true power."
Sasuke's originally cold expression turned incredibly terrified.
His eyes were struggling to stay open.
He had felt himself die several times just now.
He had endured cruel punishments in hell.
That feeling was worse than death.
Sasuke gripped Sakura's arm with one hand and braced himself against the table with the other, his forehead drenched in cold sweat.
He stared fixedly at Yeyu. "What was that power just now?"
"Is this what you rely on to be a Chunin?"
"Since when are Chunin this powerful?"
Sasuke was not an ignorant person; he had seen plenty of Chunin in his clan when he was a child.
But absolutely none of them had ever given him such a terrifying feeling.
What kind of power was this that Yeyu possessed?
Looking at Sasuke, Yeyu remained very calm, posing no threat at all. "It was merely a sliver of my aura released."
"If you find it terrifying, it only means you still have a long way to go."
"I suspect that the person you have always cared about is certainly not someone you can defeat as you are now."
"Even the him from back then is not someone you can touch at your current level."
The scene of Itachi Uchiha slaughtering their entire clan and replaying it for him flashed through Sasuke's mind.
He gritted his teeth in hatred, clenching his fists.
Sweat poured down his forehead like rain.
Yeyu's words completely shattered the cold mask Sasuke had worn for so many years.
He hadn't made much progress in all these years; before Itachi Uchiha, he was just as fragile as he had been back then.
He was the weakling that Itachi Uchiha hadn't even bothered to kill.
This was the scar Sasuke had refused to uncover for all these years.
Yet today, Yeyu had laid it all bare.
Sasuke gave a bitter laugh. "So all these years, I've been standing still, without any progress at all."
Clenching his fists, Sasuke's face was filled with pain.
He had worked very hard; whenever he had time, he would go to the Uchiha clan's ruins to study the stone tablet for ninjutsu.
He had awakened the One-Tomoe Sharingan, and although his ocular power wasn't strong enough yet, he could already see quite a bit of the content on the tablet.
The Uchiha clan's stone tablet was inscribed with many family ninjutsu, and more would be revealed as the ocular power of the Sharingan increased.
Sasuke lowered his head and gritted his teeth. "If I can't even defeat you, what have I been doing all these years? I've achieved nothing."
Looking at Sasuke, Yeyu said speechlessly, "Saying you can't even defeat me is a bit arrogant."
Hearing that made Yeyu feel rather annoyed.
Was he someone who could be defeated so easily?
Sasuke wiped away his tears, looked up, and stared at Yeyu very earnestly. "Yeyu, how exactly did you become so strong?"
"Can you tell me?"
Sakura stood beside Sasuke, her heart aching as she watched him in this state.
She had never seen the cold Sasuke show such a vulnerable side.
Who is that man? Who does Sasuke want to defeat?
Yeyu actually made Sasuke like this; he must be truly powerful, right? Sakura thought to herself.
Sasuke looked at Yeyu with a serious, expectant expression.
He hoped he would tell him.
However, Yeyu said calmly, "I was born with it; you can't learn it."
These words instantly made Sasuke frown. "You don't want to say?"
It wasn't that Yeyu didn't want to say, but that he himself didn't know where his power came from.
It was just that after having a dream, he had inherited the power of Akainu.
Should he tell Sasuke that he obtained this power from a dream?
Yeyu said indifferently, "Think whatever you want."
Sasuke let out a cold snort, turned his head away, and wore a look of cold arrogance. "Forget it if you don't want to say. I will definitely become stronger; I can defeat you, and I can also defeat that man."
Yeyu just smiled, showing his respect.
Just then, the classroom door opened.
A ninja with silver-white hair walked in.
Kakashi Hatake, the instructor for Team 7.
Walking to the podium, Kakashi looked in Yeyu's direction.
This was the first time the two had met.
However, he was not Yeyu's instructor.
"Team 7, come out with me and gather on the roof of the Ninja Academy."
After Kakashi finished speaking, he glanced at Yeyu and vanished from the classroom.
Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto were stunned for a moment.
Yeyu reminded them, "Hurry up and go; your instructor has arrived."
Sasuke frowned.
Why did he feel like this instructor seemed a bit unreliable?
Still, he had to hurry to the assembly.
As he left, he looked at Yeyu and said solemnly, "Yeyu, before long, I will surpass you. You will be the first opponent I defeat."
Before leaving, Sasuke threw down a harsh challenge to Yeyu.
Yeyu ignored him and continued to lie on the desk to sleep.
Meanwhile, Naruto, who should have been the protagonist, hadn't said a few words during the entire process.
He had been hiding to the side, shivering.
Especially after seeing Yeyu seemingly do nothing yet nearly make Sasuke faint, leaving him covered in cold sweat, Naruto felt even more terrified.
With Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura all gone, Yeyu was the only one left in the entire classroom.
In the empty, quiet classroom, Yeyu truly fell asleep.
Not long after, the Third Hokage appeared in the classroom.
He walked over to Yeyu's side.
"Let's go. I'll take you to the Hokage Office to get familiar with the environment."
The Third Hokage knew that Yeyu must have been aware of his arrival.
Sure enough, Yeyu stood up and stretched his limbs.
"What you did just now, Lord Hokage, was a bit flashy; it has caused me a lot of trouble."
The Third Hokage smiled, completely unconcerned. "I thought you wouldn't care about such things. I originally wanted to promote you directly to Jonin, but upon reflection, that would be too exaggerated. Let's settle for Chunin instead."
Yeyu was speechless. "Chunin is also quite exaggerated."
To graduate from the Ninja Academy and be promoted directly to Chunin without even starting to work as a ninja, skipping the Genin stage entirely.
This was the only such case in the history of Konoha.
It was quite extraordinary.
Naturally, it would also stir up a lot of controversy.
But neither Yeyu nor the Third Hokage cared about such disputes.
Because Yeyu was strong enough.
The Third Hokage had sufficient reasons to explain it, and Yeyu possessed enough formidable strength to ignore any questioning.
The Third Hokage laughed. "Hahaha, do you really want to start from Genin?"
Yeyu shook his head. "Being able to skip Genin and not have to do those boring missions is certainly nice."
"It's just that I have no experience in becoming your assistant."
"If you don't know how, just stay by my side and learn slowly."
"Also, you won't need to go out on missions; you can study some ninjutsu."
"Your taijutsu is strong enough, but since you are a ninja, you must learn some ninjutsu. You can take the ninjutsu archives in the Hokage Office to study."
Yeyu had mastered the power of Akainu; his greatest strength was Haki combined with the abilities of the Magma-Magma Fruit.
He just wouldn't use them unless absolutely necessary.
If he were to unleash his full power, combining the chakra of this world with the power of Akainu, Yeyu estimated that he could possess strength surpassing the Kage level.
