Root's Ninjas Come to "Invite" Him

Hiruzen raised his head and looked at Kakashi with interest. "You seem to be paying a lot of attention to him?"

Kakashi nodded without denying it. "He's only twelve, yet he already has that kind of power."

"I can't help but be interested. I want to know what he's really capable of."

Since Kakashi was one of Hiruzen's trusted subordinates, he dared to ask about Yeyu in front of him.

Hiruzen didn't suspect Kakashi. He even told him everything he'd learned about Yeyu that day.

Kakashi was a little surprised. "He has chakra affinities for all five nature transformations?"

"This world really is unfair. His Taijutsu is already so strong, and he seems to have a great talent for ninjutsu, too."

Kakashi was genuinely envious.

At Yeyu's home.

Lying on the bed, he murmured, "This is basically a jutsu similar to the Summoning Jutsu."

"The only reason it takes such a massive amount of chakra to master is why its learning difficulty is rated S-rank."

"It's not actually that difficult to learn. I'd guess it's only a little harder than the Summoning Jutsu."

Since Five-Fold Rashomon was essentially the Summoning Jutsu, the scroll also included an explanation of the Summoning Jutsu.

By learning Five-Fold Rashomon, Yeyu had also mastered the Summoning Jutsu.

Just then, someone knocked at the door.

Yeyu released his Observation Haki.

"So I really did run into one."

Yeyu went to the door and opened it.

A ninja wearing a beast mask stood outside.

"Yeyu, come with me. Lord Danzo wants to see you."

Yeyu said nothing, simply watching the ninja.

The ninja seemed to think Yeyu didn't know who he was—or who Danzo was.

"I'm with the Anbu. Lord Danzo is one of Konoha's Hokage Advisors. He wants to see you."

Yeyu remained calm. "Why are you wearing a mask?"

The ninja froze. "I'm an Anbu ninja."

He repeated his explanation.

But Yeyu only said, "Take off your mask. I suspect you're not a ninja from Konoha."

"What!"

The ninja flew into a rage. "Are you messing with me?"

Yeyu remained calm. "I'm just confirming your identity. For all I know, you could be a spy from another village."

"You're dead!"

The ninja thought Yeyu was deliberately messing with him.

He immediately threw a punch at Yeyu's stomach.

"Rumble!"

"Ugh..."

Just as he moved to attack, a terrifying mental shock struck his mind.

The ninja rolled his eyes and collapsed at Yeyu's doorstep.

Yeyu paid him no mind.

A little surprised, he wondered, Could this be Conqueror's Haki?

Akainu didn't have Conqueror's Haki, so how come I do?

Thanks to Akainu's experience, Yeyu had excellent control over his Conqueror's Haki as soon as it Awakened. He'd even reached the level of Advanced Conqueror's Haki.

"I've got all Three Types of Haki now."

"My obsession with completing sets is finally cured."

Yeyu sighed in relief and smiled.

He glanced at the ninja lying by the door, then casually tossed him outside.

Whether the man would fall to his death or freeze to death during the night didn't matter to Yeyu.

He wasn't weak enough to die that easily.

Having dealt with the man, Yeyu knew he'd certainly made an enemy of Danzo.

But he didn't care. He wasn't someone just anyone could mess with anymore.

He didn't go looking for trouble, but he'd never let himself be pushed around, either.

At Root's headquarters, Danzo had been waiting for a long time, but the ninja he'd sent to fetch Yeyu still hadn't returned.

His expression darkened. He sent two more ninjas to bring Yeyu back by force.

Both were Special Jonin.

The two arrived at Yeyu's home and saw their comrade lying on the ground.

"Kuma's unconscious. Was he hit with a mental jutsu?"

Kuma, who had been knocked out by Yeyu's Conqueror's Haki, was now rolling his eyes and foaming at the mouth, completely unconscious.

He looked miserable.

The two were stunned.

Kuma was a Special Jonin, one of Root's elite fighters, just like them.

Someone had beaten him into this state. They looked up at the third floor.

That was the residence they'd identified as Yeyu's.

"Must've been him, right?"

"But he just graduated from the Ninja Academy. Could he really be this strong?"

The two hesitated.

"Forget about that. Let's take Kuma back first, then come back and capture the kid."

They both nodded.

The next moment, they disappeared with Kuma.

At Root's headquarters,

Danzo stared at Kuma, who was lying on the ground and still hadn't woken up, his expression dark.

"Yamanaka Fu, wake him up."

Yamanaka Fu belonged to the Yamanaka Clan, whose ninjas were highly skilled in mental jutsu.

Yamanaka Fu was one of Danzo's trusted subordinates. The other was Aburame Torune.

Yamanaka Fu went over to Kuma and began examining his mind.

"What terrifying mental power. It nearly destroyed Kuma's nerves. How did he do that?"

Many of Kuma's nerves had been damaged. A purely mental jutsu shouldn't have been able to do this.

Even among genjutsu, an ordinary illusion and Tsukuyomi were on completely different levels.

After trying for a while, Yamanaka Fu shook his head helplessly. "Lord Danzo, I can't wake him. We can only wait for him to come around on his own."

"Quite a few of his nerves have been damaged. It seems the other person deliberately held back. Otherwise, Kuma would already be dead."

"But I can't think of anyone in Konoha capable of controlling their power like this. The precision is incredible."

Danzo's expression darkened further. "Kuma went to find that kid named Yeyu. Could he have done it?"

Yamanaka Fu shook his head. "That seems unlikely. Even the most skilled medical ninja couldn't manipulate mental energy with such precision. He's just a student who recently graduated from the Ninja Academy."

Yamanaka Fu didn't believe it.

Kuma's nerves had been damaged with such precision that he would have a hard time waking up, but the damage wasn't fatal.

Even medical ninjas and sensory ninjas would struggle to treat him.

Such precise control was beyond even Yamanaka Fu, one of the best sensory ninjas.

Danzo gripped his cane. "But that kid was promoted to Chunin by Sarutobi as soon as he graduated. He even made him Hokage Assistant."

"How could he not be special in some way?"

"Kuma went to find him, and this happened near his home. If he didn't do it, who did?"

In Konoha, who would dare provoke an Anbu ninja?

Only students like Yeyu, who knew little about the Anbu, would go too far when they fought one.

Danzo's expression darkened. "If that kid really did it, then I can understand why Sarutobi Hiruzen treats him so differently."

"But a ninja like that absolutely cannot be allowed to emerge. He's one of Sarutobi Hiruzen's people."

"It looks like the old fool plans to groom him to become Hokage."

"He was average at the Ninja Academy, then immediately promoted to Chunin and Hokage Assistant after graduating. Sarutobi Hiruzen sure hid him well."

"Was he worried I'd make a move against the boy too soon?"

Danzo looked deeply displeased.

He believed Yeyu was a genius Hiruzen had deliberately kept hidden.
