Yeyu did not refuse the Hokage's proposal. "Since it is the Hokage's kindness, I will not decline."
"I will study these three ninjutsu thoroughly."
All three of these ninjutsu were forbidden techniques.
The Hokage felt somewhat helpless that Yeyu had chosen these three.
However, he did not interfere with Yeyu's selection.
He wanted to see just how talented Yeyu was when it came to ninjutsu.
If Yeyu's talent for ninjutsu proved average, the Hokage would select a few elemental ninjutsu for him later.
For Yeyu, ninjutsu was merely the icing on the cake.
Even in his normal state, his taijutsu already possessed the strength of a Hokage.
Furthermore, he had not been able to probe Yeyu's true strength last night.
Even so, Yeyu had already displayed the power of a Hokage.
And Yeyu was only twelve years old.
It was impossible to imagine what he would achieve in the future.
The Hokage certainly hoped for Yeyu to develop in all areas, but that was truly difficult.
After the Hokage took Yeyu to complete all the paperwork, Yeyu went to move house.
Yeyu did not have many belongings; he packed a single bundle and arrived at his new home.
The new home was located in the very center of Konoha, where the land value was so high that Yeyu could never earn enough to afford it in a lifetime as a ninja.
The room was not large; it was a three-story apartment, and Yeyu was on the top floor.
It was a two-bedroom, one-living-room layout, covering about 70 square meters.
Living in a 70-square-meter apartment in this location was not something an ordinary person could achieve.
Kakashi also lived nearby, but his apartment was only about 30 square meters.
Naruto also lived in the vicinity, and his apartment was even smaller, only about 20 square meters.
Yeyu knew that he could never afford this house in his entire life as a ninja.
A ninja's income was not low, but many things had to be paid for out of pocket.
Supplies and ninja tools required for missions had to be purchased and prepared by the ninjas themselves.
And ninja tools were extremely expensive.
Only Shuriken and Kunai were relatively cheap, which was why ninjas loved using them so much.
Everyone liked using Explosive Tag, but the price of a single Explosive Tag was equivalent to the share of a C-rank mission.
If one used an Explosive Tag on a mission below C-rank, the mission would have been for nothing.
Even a Jonin could not save much money by the end of the year.
The reason Jiraiya had money was because he earned it from writing novels, not from performing missions.
Even a workaholic like Kakashi could only afford a 30-square-meter apartment nearby.
As the Hokage's own son, Asuma was still living in the dorms at this time, without even his own housing.
However, the fact that Kurenai Yuhi was willing to be with him despite him not having his own place was undoubtedly true love.
In the evening, Yeyu cleaned the house from top to bottom, and after tidying everything up, he sat down and opened the three ninjutsu scrolls.
"Learning such difficult ninjutsu right after graduating from the Ninja Academy is indeed a lot of pressure," Yeyu said while opening a scroll.
"I wonder if my learning ability has improved after inheriting the learning capacity of Akainu."
"It would be bad if it actually regressed."
Thinking that Akainu's talent points seemed to be entirely in combat, Yeyu felt uncertain about his aptitude for learning.
The first scroll he opened was the Five-Fold Rashomon.
It looked like a small scroll, but after unfolding it, it was over three meters long.
It was densely packed with principles and illustrations.
After reading through it once, Yeyu was somewhat surprised. "I actually understood it. I had never studied this knowledge before."
"Could it be that Akainu's learning ability, fused with the ninjutsu knowledge of this world that I had already mastered, allowed me to deduce this?"
"But that makes sense. After all, he was a Marine. Aside from combat training, he must have studied military knowledge. Since he and Kizaru were called the two monsters of their generation, how could his learning ability be poor?"
"The Marines are a branch with high technical requirements, after all, not to mention that Akainu rose step by step from a Marine to an Admiral."
"He didn't just become an Admiral through a world draft."
After reading through it once, Yeyu realized he truly could understand it, and he even had a clear train of thought.
"With a bit of time, I should be able to master this ninjutsu."
"However, this ninjutsu is meant specifically to block a Tailed Beast Bomb."
"It can only deflect the trajectory of a Tailed Beast Bomb; it's impossible to block it completely."
"It would be better for me to just activate Armament Haki and tank it head-on."
Yeyu did not know the exact destructive power of a Tailed Beast Bomb, but he felt that the defensive capabilities of the Five-Fold Rashomon were inferior to his own physical durability when bolstered by Armament Haki.
Although the destructive power of a Tailed Beast Bomb is immense, most of that energy dissipates elsewhere; Yeyu would only need to withstand a small fraction of the total energy.
This is the awkward reality of the Tailed Beast Bomb.
It can destroy several mountains, but it is very difficult to kill a single person, especially one with immense physical strength.
The fact that the Third Raikage could engage in hand-to-hand combat with the Eight-Tails until both were exhausted proves that the Tailed Beast Bomb poses little threat to truly powerful individuals.
The Tailed Beast Bomb is only highly effective against massive targets, as their large volume ensures that the majority of the explosion's energy impacts them directly.
Yeyu chuckled and muttered to himself, "It seems that large-scale ninjutsu, aside from looking imposing, has a mountain of drawbacks."
"Even Susanoo has significant flaws."
"It consumes a massive amount of chakra, and while its defensive power is strong, it is not worth the chakra expenditure."
"It's only because the Uchiha Clan possesses vast chakra reserves that they can use it; if a ninja with low chakra reserves were to use it, Susanoo would be nothing but a burden."
"Though, looking cool is indeed quite important."
"What is the point of me learning this ninjutsu anyway?"
Having read through it once, he had nearly mastered it, but Yeyu suddenly realized something.
He had absolutely no use for this ninjutsu.
Instead of using this technique, he could simply rely on his speed to dodge, or activate Armament Haki combined with his formidable physical body; if that still wasn't enough, he could use the power of the Magma-Magma Fruit to elementalize.
Why should he spend so much time casting a ninjutsu that couldn't even fully block a Tailed Beast Bomb?
Casting the Five-Fold Rashomon also requires hand seals.
In the time it takes to do that, he could have already dodged to the side.
Thinking about this, Yeyu felt more and more that learning the Five-Fold Rashomon was completely useless.
Yet, looking at the scroll spread out on the floor, he thought for a moment and decided to learn it anyway.
"It might be good to show off with it in the future."
The technique that the Third Hokage deemed extremely difficult to learn was treated by Yeyu as nothing more than a tool for future posturing.
One wonders what the Third would think if he knew.
Yeyu spent the entire night studying the Five-Fold Rashomon.
It wasn't until late at night that he fully mastered the theory.
"I'll find an open space to test it out tomorrow."
That night, Yeyu slept soundly.
In the Hokage Office, after confirming the time for the next day's assessment with Naruto and the others, Kakashi came to the Hokage Office to see the Third.
He didn't see a trace of Yeyu.
Kakashi was puzzled. "Lord Hokage, where is Yeyu?"
"Isn't he supposed to be your assistant?"
