Neji said nothing. Blue-white light gleamed in his eyes.
Kakashi noticed the change in Neji's eyes and thought, Is this the evolution of the Byakugan Yeyu mentioned?
"I never expected the Byakugan could evolve. It looks incredibly powerful."
Neji was only a tiny step away from evolving his Byakugan.
Yet he had never managed to break through that final barrier.
Still, it was already immensely powerful.
At this stage, his eyes were already visibly different from the Byakugan of ordinary Hyuga Clan members.
Their ocular power was far greater.
They even came with additional abilities.
Neji's Byakugan was now comparable to the Mangekyō Sharingan—perhaps even a Mangekyō Sharingan that would never go blind.

Hidan laughed, resting his enormous scythe on his shoulder. "Kakuzu, why are you so timid? The Kazekage is already nearly dead. What else can those Jonin do?"
"They're even ninjas from other villages."
Hidan was utterly disdainful.
Just now, neither Kakashi nor Guy had posed much of a threat to them.
Kakashi and Guy were fairly well-known in the Ninja World.
Yet both had been easily suppressed by them.
So what if another ninja came along, even a Jonin?
Especially one who looked so young.
But after Kakuzu scrutinized Neji, his expression grew increasingly grave. "Shut up. Do you know who that is? He's Neji Hyuga."
Kakuzu had finally recognized Neji.
Hidan froze for a moment, then asked doubtfully, "So what if he's Neji Hyuga? Is
