In the eyes of Kazahana Koyuki, the fact that Yeyu could instantly transport her back from over ten kilometers away proved that his strength was absolutely beyond that of a Jonin.
Such a powerhouse, and so young at that, had to be one of the top experts in the village.
How could he possibly be hired by Asama Sandayu?
Where would Asama Sandayu even get that much money to hire such a powerful ninja?
"A ninja of this caliber wouldn't cost less than 10 million ryo to hire, right?"
"It's just an escort mission; how could he possibly afford that much?"
As a big star, her own annual income was around 30 million ryo.
After taxes and expenses, she might only see 15 million ryo.
Asama Sandayu was her manager; there was no way he could have a massive sum of 10 million ryo.
Kazahana Koyuki had no desire to go to the Land of Snow, nor did she want to participate in this film shoot, so she certainly wouldn't be paying the ninja's fee.
It was all being paid by Asama Sandayu.
Where did he get all that money?
Kazahana Koyuki turned and walked back into her room.
Once she had calmed down, she looked at Yeyu, who was sitting on the windowsill with a calm expression.
He's way too young. Is he even twelve?
She frowned.
Asama Sandayu walked over and hurriedly introduced them to Kazahana Koyuki again, "Miss Fujikaze, this is the ninja I hired to protect you during this shoot. They are ninjas from Konoha."
"Jonin Mitarashi Anko and Chunin Yeyu."
Kazahana Koyuki looked at Yeyu in confusion, "You... you're only a Chunin?"
"Is that so strange? Isn't it normal for someone my age to be a Chunin?" Yeyu didn't think there was anything odd about it.
Kazahana Koyuki stared at Yeyu, her brow furrowed in disbelief that he was actually only a Chunin.
Is Konoha really that strong? A mere Chunin has mastered such a powerful teleportation ninjutsu?
Thinking of Kakashi, who had rescued her from the Land of Snow earlier, she wondered if Kakashi had been lying to her.
Kakashi didn't feel as strong as Yeyu.
Yet Yeyu was only a Chunin, while Kakashi was a Jonin.
It wasn't just Kazahana Koyuki who was curious; Asama Sandayu and Mitarashi Anko were equally intrigued.
All three of them looked at Yeyu at the same time.
"Don't look at me like that; it's just a ninjutsu of mine."
However, Yeyu did not specify what kind of ninjutsu it was.
Although Mitarashi Anko was puzzled, she didn't ask.
Ninjutsu is a ninja's secret; even among ninjas from the same village, one generally doesn't reveal everything.
Since Asama Sandayu and the others were not from the village, it was even less likely he would say anything.
Kazahana Koyuki walked up to Yeyu, stood before him, and scrutinized him, "How old are you?"
She crossed her arms over her chest and asked Yeyu with a serious expression.
If it were an ordinary person, meeting such a big star and having her speak to them at such close range would surely make them excited, or even so nervous they couldn't speak.
But Yeyu remained calm, appearing almost uninterested in engaging with her.
"Mr. Yeyu is twelve years old. I heard he just graduated from the Ninja Academy, and this is his first mission since graduation."
"We are very lucky to be the first people to commission Mr. Yeyu."
Seeing that Yeyu didn't want to deal with Kazahana Koyuki, Asama Sandayu hurriedly explained for him.
He was terrified that the two might come into conflict.
Mitarashi Anko leaned to the side, saying nothing, but a mysterious smile played on her lips.
Kazahana Koyuki frowned, "You just graduated from the Ninja Academy? You're bluffing, right?"
"Can you become a Chunin right after graduating from the Ninja Academy? And be this strong?"
"Sandayu, you've been scammed, haven't you?"
Kazahana Koyuki asked Asama Sandayu.
Asama Sandayu felt a bit helpless.
He could tell that Kazahana Koyuki seemed somewhat displeased.
Is it because of Mr. Yeyu's attitude?
Princess Koyuki's temper is still the same, but this is Mr. Yeyu—not a director, and not a member of the film crew.
Kazahana Koyuki had a massive temper, and usually, the director and staff had to coddle her to get any filming done.
But Yeyu was the ninja they had hired to protect Kazahana Koyuki.
Asama Sandayu was the one who had begged Yeyu to continue this mission; if Kazahana Koyuki were to anger Yeyu and cause him to abandon the task, he would truly lose his only chance at restoring the country.
Therefore, Asama Sandayu hurried over to explain, "Fujikaze, Yeyu is incredibly strong. I have already witnessed it myself, so please rest assured—he is fully capable of protecting you."
Kazahana Koyuki stared daggers at Yeyu. "Are you really only twelve years old?"
"I don't believe it!"
Asama Sandayu was frantic.
What was wrong with Kazahana Koyuki today?
Why was she taking her diva attitude out on Yeyu?
Yeyu turned his head to look at Kazahana Koyuki. "Whether you believe it or not is irrelevant. You are merely the target of my mission; my age has nothing to do with you."
Kazahana Koyuki clenched her fists. It was the first time anyone had ever spoken to her like that.
Everyone else pampered her and worshipped her.
How could anyone dare to talk back to her?
In the Land of Snow, she was a princess, and even though she had lost her throne, she was still a major star in the Land of Fire.
What kind of attitude was this from Yeyu?
"You—how can you have such an attitude? You were hired by Sandayu to protect me. Is this how you speak to your employer?"
Yeyu chuckled. "Fujikaze, we are ninjas, not your servants. Please make that distinction clear."
"If you are unwilling to employ us, we can abandon this mission at any time."
"Yeyu, please calm your anger. Fujikaze just hasn't gathered her wits yet; she meant no offense." Asama Sandayu was worried sick.
Why couldn't this princess read the room or pick her targets before throwing a tantrum?
Yeyu said indifferently, "It seems to me that she is unwilling to entrust us with this task. You may terminate this mission whenever you wish."
Kazahana Koyuki didn't say anything more.
Anko hadn't wanted to take this mission in the first place, so she was even less likely to step in and mediate now.
Asama Sandayu was desperate, apologizing to Yeyu several times over.
Although Kazahana Koyuki was still somewhat angry and felt that Yeyu didn't respect her, she watched as Asama Sandayu humbled himself to apologize.
She thought of her country and the things that had happened in the past.
"I'm sorry!"
Just as Asama Sandayu was trying to smooth things over with Yeyu, Kazahana Koyuki suddenly apologized to him.
Yeyu looked at her.
Kazahana Koyuki kept her head down, looking very embarrassed.
This was the first time she had ever apologized to anyone.
Anko looked at Yeyu. This kid is quite impressive, actually managing to force this big star to apologize to him.
Kazahana Koyuki was an incredibly popular star in the Land of Fire.
The Third Hokage's attention to this matter was proof enough of that.
She never expected that she could be forced to soften her stance and apologize by Yeyu.
Besides, it wasn't even a major conflict to begin with.
It was just Kazahana Koyuki questioning Yeyu's age without regard for the situation.
Yeyu hadn't really cared; he was just annoyed that Kazahana Koyuki kept asking about his age.
There was nothing to question about it.
