Naruto, Menma, and Sasuke set out from Sasuke's house, preparing to head for the training ground where Menma often practiced.
They walked along a narrow path in the Uchiha Clan Compound. The buildings around them had the Uchiha Clan's distinctive style, with black eaves and gray walls. Here and there, the Uchiha Clan Crest could be seen on the walls.
Sunlight filtered through the leaves and dappled the ground. A gentle breeze swept past, bringing a touch of coolness.
As they walked, they happened to run into Shisui and Xingli.
"Shisui, Xingli, what are you doing here?" Menma asked first.
When Shisui saw them, he smiled. "Well, Xingli said she wanted to go to Sasuke's house to see him."
Naruto, who was standing nearby, spoke up. "See Sasuke? But he's coming with us to train at the training ground outside the Uchiha Clan Compound."
"Oh? Is that so?" Shisui said, glancing at Xingli.
"Yeah. Menma agreed to teach us a new technique. When I learn it, I'll show everyone what I can do!" Naruto said, excitedly gesturing as he spoke. His eyes shone with anticipation for the new ninjutsu, brighter than the sun overhead.
Sasuke glanced at Naruto but said nothing. Still, his eyes held the same anticipation for the new technique. I have to work hard and train well, he thought, his gaze reflecting his determination.
At Naruto's words, Xingli's eyes gleamed with envy. "That sounds amazing," she said softly.
Her voice was as clear as a bell. Though quiet, everyone still heard her.
Shisui thought for a moment, then said, "Then let's go with you. Xingli can watch you practice your ninjutsu, too."
He thought it would be a good opportunity for Xingli to learn from such capable ninja.
