It had long since become light, yet rain was falling from the sky at this most untimely hour.
Fortunately, ancient trees stood throughout the forest. Anno had punched a temporary shelter for Gareth into one of their trunks, and Gareth's eyes were now twitching slightly, as though she were about to wake up.
"Hm? It looks like Sir Gareth is about to wake up." Mash had been a little drowsy, but the moment she heard movement from Gareth's direction, she jolted awake.

to Mash, nodded, then ran outside.

Gareth still looked somewhat uncomfortable, but she supported her head and sat up from within the tree hollow, slowly opening her eyes.
"Huh? I... Where am I?"
Gareth blinked. Where was her armor? Why was she wearing only her underclothes?
"Ah, Sir Gareth, you're finally awake." Mash jogged over to Gareth's side and spoke happily.
"Huh? Um, who are you? Wait, that presence..." Gareth stared blankly at Mash and scratched her head. Then, as though she had noticed something, she narrowed her eyes and carefully observed Mash, seemingly trying to confirm something.
Mash had not brought out her shield, so she was relatively difficult to identify. Even Gareth could not be certain of her identity at first glance.
She could only tell that Mash carried Galahad's presence, and that her magical energy attributes were very similar, but...
