"Heading southwest from here, I can feel it—magical energy seems to be flowing."
Pindo braced himself against the trunk of an ancient tree and spoke seriously.
"I can't feel anything over here." Roman scratched his head as he looked at the radar, which displayed only a few magical energy readings.
"Sir Tristan's senses are really that powerful?" Mash was utterly amazed.
"He's simply more sensitive to changes in magical energy and the environment. If it's a matter of locking onto a target, Chaldea's radar is still more accurate," Anno explained to Mash.
"Let's hurry up and find whatever's causing all this! Then I'm kicking its ass!" Robin clenched her fists, though she did not look intimidating in the slightest.
"What should we do about the walking corpses around here?" Fujimaru Ritsuka asked cautiously, his brows tightly furrowed. "There are too many. It feels like all the walking corpses nearby have gathered here."
Some of the walking corpses were fresh, looking as though they had died only recently, but far more of them were decayed, some not even fully intact.
Corpses that had been buried deep underground for who knew how long, ancient remains so rotten that only a few bones were left—they had all been stirred by this lament and crawled up from beneath the earth.

"If they block the way, clear them out. Follow me." Pindo shook his head with his eyes closed, then started forward.
"Did you discover anything else?" Anno asked as he followed behind Pindo.
