"You're here, you two from Chaldea."

Kurgarru tilted his head and greeted Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash.

"Sorry we're a little late, Mr. Kurgarru. You seem to have changed somehow?" Fujimaru Ritsuka was slightly out of breath, his hands braced on his knees as he keenly sensed that something had changed about Kurgarru.

Back at the Demonic Beast Front, Fujimaru Ritsuka had left because of the information about the Lahmu that Ishtar had brought, and so had not witnessed the awakened Kurgarru and Galatur's return. After joining several Servants to kill the Lahmu, Fujimaru Ritsuka had taken a shorter route back to Uruk. Once there, he had immediately set out with Ishtar for the coast of the Persian Gulf to investigate Tiamat's movements.

Now that he was seeing this clay man who had once guarded the gate again, Fujimaru Ritsuka felt that much had changed—though he had not been in Uruk for very long.

"Perhaps we have." Galatur still appeared serene, but unlike his former near-pure silence, his quietness now seemed to come from his own personality.

He raised his eyes and smiled at Mash. "After all, compared to before, those of us standing here now have indeed changed somewhat. We have gained things we never possessed."

"Then stop beating around the bush." Adekate cut Galatur off with a laugh of exasperation. "What's with you? Why do I feel like you became a chatterbox after gaining a human heart? The kind that only starts talking when triggered."

Galatur silently glanced at Adekate, then turned away and returned to being quiet.

Adekate's expression stiffened.

Kurgarru, on the other hand, still remembered the matter at hand. He walked over to Fujimaru Ritsuka and asked, "Did something happen on the way here?"

"Well... we ran into a rather strange person."

Mash scratched her head.
