Obito's Exposure

Amegakure, the rain was falling harder and harder.

Xingye stood by the window at Amegakure's headquarters, watching the rain outside as he considered his next move.

Now that he had won over Nagato and Konan, the Akatsuki's threat had been greatly reduced. But one dangerous enemy still remained—Obito Uchiha.

"Obito," Xingye murmured to himself. "You're the mastermind behind the Akatsuki, and the one truly carrying out the Eye of the Moon Plan."

"Unless I expose you, peace will never come to the Shinobi World."

Just then, Konan approached.

"Xingye," she said, "Nagato wants to see you."

"He has something important to tell you."

Xingye nodded. "All right, I'll go see him."

Nagato's room

Nagato sat in his wheelchair, his Rinnegan turning faintly as he looked at Xingye.

"Xingye," Nagato said, "I have some information to share with you."

"It's about Obito."

A glimmer of interest crossed Xingye's eyes. "Oh? What information?"

Nagato said, "In Amegakure, which the Six Paths of Pain controlled, I discovered traces of Obito."

"He's been secretly watching the Akatsuki's actions and manipulating everything."

Xingye nodded. "Obito has indeed been pulling the strings in secret."

"But his goal isn't the Akatsuki. He wants to use it to carry out the Eye of the Moon Plan."

Nagato said, "I've already found the location of Obito's base."

"It's deep beneath Amegakure."

"If you want to take him on, I can provide information and support."

Xingye said, "Nagato, I'll remember your help."

"But I need to face Obito alone."

"Obito isn't an ordinary opponent. He's a survivor of the Uchiha Clan, with a Mangekyō Sharingan and Space-Time Ninjutsu."

Obito stood before an illusionary projection, watching Xingye's movements in Amegakure. A cruel glint flashed in his eyes.

"Xingye," Obito murmured, "you've won over Nagato and Konan. The Akatsuki is almost in ruins because of you."

"But I won't let you get your way."

Black Zetsu emerged behind Obito. "Obito, Xingye is indeed very powerful."

"He now has the Rinnegan, the Mangekyō Sharingan, and the Otsutsuki Bloodline. His strength is approaching the Six Paths level."

"Are you really confident you can defeat him?"

Obito sneered. "Of course."

"I have Kamui. Xingye can't touch me."

"And I have a backup plan."

Black Zetsu said, "A backup plan? What is it?"

Obito replied, "I've contacted Kabuto Yakushi and asked him to use Impure World Reincarnation."

"When the time comes, Xingye will have to face not only me but countless powerful reincarnated fighters."

"No matter how strong he is, he won't be able to fight that many people at once."

Black Zetsu sneered. "Interesting."

"But Kabuto Yakushi isn't easy to control."

"What will you do if he betrays you?"

Obito was silent for a moment, then said, "Kabuto Yakushi is ambitious, that's true."

"But he wants power, not a fight with me."

"As long as I promise him power, he'll cooperate with my plan."

Black Zetsu nodded. "Good."

"But remember, Xingye's abilities are beyond your imagination."

"Be fully prepared."

Obito nodded. "I know."

Just then, the entire base suddenly shook.

"What's going on?" Obito's expression changed.

The next moment, the base's entrance exploded.

Xingye stood in the doorway, his Mangekyō Sharingan slowly opening.

"Obito," Xingye said, "your time is up."

Obito's pupils contracted. "Xingye? How did you find this place?"

Xingye said, "Finding you wasn't difficult."

"Nagato and Konan gave me all the information they had on you."

Obito sneered. "I see."

"Since you've found me, you won't be leaving alive."

Obito removed his mask, revealing a face covered in scars.

The Mangekyō Sharingan slowly spun in his eye socket.

"Xingye, today you'll witness the true power of the Uchiha."

Xingye looked at Obito and said calmly, "Obito, I know what you've been through."

"Rin's death made you lose faith in this world."

"But choosing the Eye of the Moon Plan was a mistake."

Obito roared, "Shut up! You have no right to say Rin's name!"

"This world is full of lies. Only Infinite Tsukuyomi can save it!"

Xingye shook his head. "Obito, Rin wouldn't want you to do this."

"She wanted to see a world filled with peace, not a nightmare controlled by an illusion."

Obito sneered. "Peace? There's no such thing in this world!"

"Only by drawing everyone into Infinite Tsukuyomi can we achieve true peace!"

Xingye said, "Then I'll stop you."

"Come on, Obito. Show me what you can do."

The battle erupted.

Obito suddenly vanished, using Kamui to enter another dimension.

The next moment, he appeared behind Xingye, firing a Kunai from the other dimension.

Kamui Rasengan!

Xingye spun around instantly, meeting him with Lightning Release: Chidori.

Boom!

The two chakra attacks collided, triggering a violent explosion.

Both men were knocked back.

A hint of surprise flashed in Obito's eyes. "Xingye, how are your reflexes so fast?"

Xingye said calmly, "Obito, Kamui may be powerful, but your weakness is obvious."

"You have to switch between being tangible and intangible, which consumes a lot of chakra."

"If we keep fighting, you'll eventually run out."

Obito sneered. "So what?"

"My chakra is on the level of the Nine-Tails. I can fight you for a long time."

Xingye said, "Is that so? Let's find out."

Xingye pressed both hands to the ground, unleashing an immense repulsive force that spread outward from him.

The entire underground base began to collapse, rocks raining down.

Obito turned intangible. The repulsive force passed through him without causing any damage.

"Xingye, Shinra Tensei won't work on me!" Obito sneered.

Xingye said, "I know that."

"But Shinra Tensei wasn't meant to attack you."

Obito's expression changed. "What?"

Just then, Xingye vanished from where he stood.

The next moment, he appeared above Obito.

The Tenseigan activated.

Truth-Seeking Orbs appeared behind Xingye, seven of them radiating an aura of destruction.

"Obito, you've never seen this technique before, have you?" Xingye said.

Obito's expression changed dramatically. "Truth-Seeking Orbs? How can you have those?"

Xingye didn't answer. He attacked at once.

The Truth-Seeking Orbs flew toward Obito, each one imbued with destructive power.

Obito could only keep turning intangible, letting the orbs pass through him.

But there were too many of them.

The seven Truth-Seeking Orbs traced complicated paths through the air, blocking every route Obito could use to evade.

"Damn it!" Obito cursed.

Obito decided to enter the other dimension and wait for Xingye's attack to pass before coming back out.

But Xingye had already anticipated his move.

"Obito, do you think you'll be safe in the other dimension?"

Xingye threw a Truth-Seeking Orb through the dimensional rift.

Boom!

The orb exploded in the other dimension, and the shock wave blasted Obito back out.

Obito staggered as he landed, a thin line of blood running from the corner of his mouth.

"Xingye..." Obito gritted his teeth. "You can attack the other dimension?"

Xingye said calmly, "The Rinnegan's power is far beyond what you can imagine."

"Obito, give up."

"You've already lost."

Obito sneered. "I'll never give up!"

"Even if I die, I'll make sure the Eye of the Moon Plan succeeds!"

Obito formed hand seals, preparing to unleash a powerful jutsu.

But Xingye didn't give him the chance.

Kotoamatsukami!

An illusory world instantly overwhelmed Obito's consciousness.

In the illusion, Obito saw Rin smiling and reaching out to him.

"Obito," she said gently, "there's still hope in this world."

"Don't let hatred blind you."

"What I want is true peace, not Infinite Tsukuyomi."

Obito's body began to tremble, and the Sharingan pattern in his Mangekyō Sharingan began to blur.

"Rin..." Obito murmured.

Xingye walked over to Obito and placed a hand on his forehead.

"Obito, wake up."

"Rin's wish was for true peace, not for everyone to be trapped in an illusion."

Obito's body trembled violently, tears running from the corners of his eyes.

"I... I was wrong..." Obito murmured.

The illusion began to fade, and Obito slowly regained consciousness.

"Rin..." Obito opened his eyes, filled with regret.

"Was I... wrong all along?"

Xingye said, "Obito, you understand now."

"The Eye of the Moon Plan isn't peace. It's a new hell."

"But it's not too late."

"As long as you're willing to abandon the Eye of the Moon Plan, I can give you a chance to start over."

Obito was silent for a long time, then finally nodded.

"Xingye, I'm willing to abandon the Eye of the Moon Plan."

"But I have one request."

Xingye said, "What is it?"

Obito said, "Let me see Rin one more time."

Xingye nodded. "I promise."

Xingye cast a genjutsu, bringing Rin's image back to life in Obito's mind.

Obito looked up at Xingye.

"But I'm guilty."

"I've killed too many innocent people. I can't forgive myself."

Xingye said, "Obito, the only way to atone for your sins is through your actions."

"You've joined us. Using your strength to protect the Shinobi World is how you make amends for your past mistakes."

"I believe Rin would want you to do this, too."

Obito nodded. "All right. I'll join you."

"That includes the Ten-Tails' seal. Make sure the Akatsuki can't continue with the Eye of the Moon Plan."

Obito nodded. "All right."

Xingye continued, "Second, tell me everything you know about Black Zetsu."

"His weaknesses, his plans, and his connections to the Akatsuki."

"We need to prepare in advance."

Obito said, "Understood."

Xingye finished, "Third, I may ask you to step in when the time comes."

"If Black Zetsu launches an attack, we'll need a strong fighter like you."

Obito nodded. "All right."

"I'll do everything I can to help you fight Black Zetsu."

Xingye smiled faintly. "Good, Obito."

"Next, I'll continue repairing your body."

Xingye stood in the underground base in Amegakure, gazing at the collapsed chamber.

The Akatsuki, once a terrifying organization that had struck fear into the entire Shinobi World, had been completely dismantled.

Kisame, Sasori, Kakuzu, Konan, Nagato, and Obito—the six members—had joined Xingye's side.

Deidara and Hidan had yet to be recruited, but the threat they posed had greatly diminished.

Xingye knew that Black Zetsu was his next target.

Black Zetsu was the will of Kaguya Otsutsuki, the mastermind behind the entire conspiracy.

Until Black Zetsu was defeated, peace would never come to the Shinobi World.

"Black Zetsu," Xingye murmured, "I'm almost ready."
