The Setup Begins

In the autumn of the 55th year of Konoha, hundreds of clansmen gathered within the assembly hall of the Uchiha compound.

This was the largest meeting the Uchiha had held in years, with all elders and elite members in attendance.

Xingye stood upon the dais, his demeanor calm and imposing. At eight years old, he already displayed a maturity and leadership ability far beyond his age.

"Fellow clansmen," Xingye began, his voice not loud, yet it carried throughout the entire hall, "I have summoned you all today to discuss the future of the Uchiha."

The hall fell silent, and everyone turned their eyes toward Xingye on the dais.

"I know that you all harbor doubts," Xingye continued. "The attitude of Konoha toward us, the ambitions of Danzo, and our status within the village."

"Some say we should endure and wait for an opportunity. Others say we should take the initiative and fight for more power. Still others say we should leave Konoha and seek a new path."

"But what I say is this: no matter which path we choose, we must first unite."

"Only through unity can we survive in this cruel ninja world. Only through unity can we change our own destiny."

Xingye's words resonated with the clansmen, and low murmurs began to ripple through the crowd.

"Xingye is right..." an elder nodded. "We truly need to unite."

"But the question is, how do we unite?" another elder asked. "The clan is riddled with factions, and everyone has their own ideas."

"Then we change," Xingye said firmly. "I propose we abolish the conservative faction within the clan and establish a new order centered on strength and wisdom."

The hall erupted in an uproar.

"Abolish the conservatives? How is that possible!" a conservative elder stood up. "We cannot discard the traditions of the Uchiha!"

"Traditions?" Xingye sneered. "What traditions? The tradition of standing still? Or the tradition of waiting for our own demise?"

"You—!" the conservative elder was incensed.

"Enough." Fugaku stood up, his voice steady and powerful. "Xingye is right; we must change. The stance of the conservatives is no longer suited to the current situation. If we continue to stagnate, we will only be eliminated by the times."

Fugaku's words silenced the conservative elders. As the clan head, his words carried significant weight.

"I agree with Xingye's opinion," Itachi also stood up, his eyes flashing with a resolute light. "We must reform if we are to survive in this era."

With the support of Fugaku and Itachi, Xingye's proposal was ultimately passed.

The Uchiha began their internal reforms.

The conservatives were marginalized, and the radicals began to take power. Xingye, Fugaku, and Itachi formed a triumvirate, leading the Uchiha together.

The contents of the reform included:

Abolishing the conservative faction within the clan and establishing a new order centered on strength and wisdom.

Strengthening ties with other clans in Konoha to expand influence.

Secretly gathering evidence of Danzo's crimes to prepare for a future counterattack.

Improving the strength of the clansmen, increasing mission quotas, and demonstrating loyalty to Konoha.

Xingye's reforms gained the support of the majority of the clansmen, and the strength and cohesion of the Uchiha increased significantly.

However, Danzo sensed something unusual.

"The Uchiha seem to be plotting something..." a flicker of unease crossed Danzo's eyes. "I must accelerate the preparations for the annihilation plan."

Black Zetsu also felt the threat.

"The existence of this child may affect my plans," Black Zetsu observed Xingye from the shadows. "He must be dealt with as soon as possible."

But Xingye had already anticipated all of this.

"Come then, let the storm rage even harder." Xingye stood on a high platform in the Uchiha compound, gazing toward the distant Hokage Building, his eyes glinting with cold light. "I have already begun to set the pieces for this game of chess."
