His Byakugan's 360-degree field of vision ensured that nothing could escape his notice. Still, to be safe, he activated his Sharingan as well, and both pairs of eyes gleamed.
As he drew closer, the strange chakra grew clearer. Xingye could even sense the malice and bloodlust it contained.
At last, he reached the deepest part of the Forest of Death.
An ancient stone tower stood there, covered in vines and seemingly abandoned for a long time. But according to the system, the strange chakra was coming from inside it.
Xingye didn't rush in. Instead, he observed the area from the outskirts.
He noticed traces of chakra all around the tower. Some were fresh, as if they had been left only recently.
"Someone comes here often..." Xingye thought to himself.
He carefully approached the tower and scanned its interior with his Byakugan.
Inside was a vast chamber. An altar stood in the center, covered in ancient runes. Two figures stood before it.
One was tall and wore the Uchiha Clan's uniform, but a mask concealed his face, leaving only one Sharingan exposed.
The other figure was made entirely of black material. It had no fixed shape and flowed like liquid.

In the original story, Black Zetsu was the will of Kaguya Otsutsuki and the greatest mastermind behind the entire Naruto story. He manipulated Obito, orchestrated the Eye of the Moon Plan, and ultimately resurrected Kaguya, nearly destroying the Shinobi World.
And now, Black Zetsu was right before his eyes.
Xingye held his breath and secretly recorded everything.
"The Eye of the Moon Plan must be accelerated," Black Zetsu said, his voice like something from the depths of an abyss. "The Uchiha Clan must be eliminated. They're in the way."
"But why should I trust you?" Obito's voice was full of anger. "You're just using me."
"Because I can let you see Rin," Black Zetsu said with a cold laugh. "Once the Eye of the Moon Plan succeeds and Infinite Tsukuyomi is activated, you'll be able to stay with Rin forever in a dream."
Obito fell silent. Complex emotions flickered in his eyes—pain, conflict, and longing.
Watching this, Xingye felt torn.
Obito, a man toyed with by fate, had been manipulated by Black Zetsu for years, ultimately becoming his pawn. In the original story, he finally came to his senses before he died, but by then it was too late.
I can't let this tragedy happen again, Xingye thought. I have to find a way to save Obito, or... at least stop him from becoming Black Zetsu's tool.
He continued recording in secret.
"When exactly is the Night of the Uchiha Massacre?" Black Zetsu asked.
"October 10, Year 63 of Konoha," Obito replied. "It's the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki's birthday, and Konoha's defenses will be at their weakest."
"Excellent." Black Zetsu nodded with satisfaction. "Danzo will cooperate with us and manufacture evidence of an Uchiha rebellion. Then Itachi will carry out the massacre. Everything is already arranged."
Xingye was stunned.
So the Night of the Uchiha Massacre wasn't just Danzo's plot—it was Black Zetsu's plan too!
"Itachi..." Xingye's heart ached. "So Black Zetsu forced you to bear that sin."
He had to change everything.
Xingye quietly withdrew without revealing himself. He wasn't strong enough to fight Black Zetsu and Obito yet. He had to prepare first, then make his move ahead of time.

"Black Zetsu is the real threat. I have to strike before he makes his move," Xingye thought. "But I need more power."
