Background / History

Bell arrived in Orario as a novice who had been rejected by numerous Familias. Thor accepted him, giving him a home and making him the first member of his Familia; Bell immediately embraced the role with fervent loyalty. 1 2

Thor bestowed the Star Blessing upon Bell and began personally updating his status, teaching him magic, Hero Skills, and Dungeon strategy. Thor later identifies Bell as a reincarnated hero whose future possibilities had been constrained before Thor's intervention. Bell himself is not told about the Longing for the Stars skill that drives his exceptional growth. 2 3 5

Only days after becoming an adventurer, Bell confronts a Minotaur from the seventeenth floor on the fifth floor. Though his ordinary steel dagger cannot pierce its hide, he repeatedly targets its weak points with Star Burst and succeeds in crippling its knee before Ais Wallenstein and Bete Loga intervene against the remaining threat. 6 7 11

Bete's contempt for his weakness deeply affects Bell, but it also strengthens his resolve. Rather than giving up, Bell asks Thor to make him stronger, beginning training in Flash Step, dream-based combat instruction, and Endless Fury. 12 14 29

Bell is a lean young adventurer with soft white hair and clear ruby-red eyes. His early Dungeon equipment consists of cheap, basic novice clothing and a short steel dagger. 2 7 10

Personality

Bell is earnest, polite, and intensely devoted to Thor. He credits his accomplishments to Thor's teaching rather than himself, even after nearly defeating a Minotaur within his first five days as an adventurer. 11

He is highly excitable about magic, new equipment, and increases to his status, but he is also prone to self-reproach when confronted with his weakness. Thor deliberately withholds information about Longing for the Stars because Bell can become overconfident when praised. 3 5 14

Bell's defining trait is his refusal to yield. He continues fighting the Minotaur despite injury, magical exhaustion, and the overwhelming gap in strength, and later turns the anger caused by Bete's insults into motivation to improve. 6 7 13 29

Star Blessing

Thor's personal blessing records Bell's status and enables Thor to update his abilities during Dungeon expeditions. Its feedback mechanism also rewards Thor with faster Stardust condensation as Bell and the Familia grow stronger. 2 4
