A later author clarification establishes that Freya and Helen—the original Syr—swapped bodies. The current Syr uses Helen's body while retaining Freya's abilities and wisdom; within Thor's Familia, she is treated as Syr, not Freya. 39

Meeting Thor

Syr's ability to see souls makes Thor's arrival at the Hostess of Fertility transformative. Where ordinary adventurers appear dull and gods appear pale and unchanging, Thor's soul appears to her as an overwhelming magnificence beyond conventional beauty. Bell's soul likewise stands out as unusually pure and vibrant. 10
