Background / History

Pandora first introduces herself to Li Yu as “Pandora” or the “Heavenly Dao.” Though she is the will of his world, she possesses a markedly human personality, which Li Yu attributes to her fusion with entities from other worlds. She permits Li Yu to communicate with her through Marble Phantasm and later through a dedicated interworld communication device. 264 298

She treats Li Yu as a trusted agent rather than an ordinary inhabitant. Pandora grants him world authority, supports his interworld expeditions, provides identities and cover stories in foreign worlds, and repeatedly entrusts him with tasks requiring space-time or dimensional expertise. She believes his future lies beyond any single world and is willing to “spoil” him accordingly. 294 365 367

Pandora’s broader objective is the expansion, protection, and eventual integration of worlds connected to her domain.
