Background / History
Soma descended to the Lower World largely to escape the goddesses pursuing him in Heaven. His initial time in Orario was chaotic: female adventurers surrounded him so persistently that he struggled even to establish his Familia. He later cultivated a gloomy, sinister presentation to make himself less attractive and avoid further attention. 259 358
When Soma first founded the Soma Familia, he personally directed its growth until it became a second-tier Familia. Its collapse began when members became addicted to the inferior Divine Wine he brewed. Deeply affected by their dependence, Soma gradually abandoned active management and focused on brewing instead. 291 304
Falan's recruitment renewed Soma's interest in the Familia. After Falan resisted Divine Wine, Soma granted him a Blessing, protected him from other Familias seeking his Life Magic, and eventually made him captain to replace Channis Lustra. 6 7 16 242
Appearance
Soma appears as a simply dressed young man whose hair usually conceals most of his face, giving him a gloomy aura. Beneath that deliberately unappealing presentation, he is notably handsome. 227 228 259

Personality
Soma is calm, patient, and often outwardly detached. He treats the Lower World as a long-lived god's game, yet rejects the idea that mortals are merely puppets; he believes sincerity from gods is necessary to receive sincerity in return. 7 12 247
He is highly sensitive and perfectionistic, with the temperament of an artist rather than an administrator. The Divine Wine addiction crisis wounded him enough to withdraw from Familia management, though Falan's reforms eventually draw him back into guiding the Familia. 291 304
Despite his indifference to reputation, Soma can be strategic and forceful when his Familia is threatened. He confronts Uranus over Falan's targeting, exploits Divine Wine as political currency, and removes Channis when his management proves destructive. 16 32 242
