Core Formation is the breakthrough by which a Foundation Establishment cultivator condenses their mana into a Core and becomes a Core Formation cultivator, commonly addressed as a True Person. It marks a major increase in status, mobility, resources, and combat capability, but remains difficult even for Foundation Establishment Late Stage cultivators. 136 257

The breakthrough process still falls within the scope of Foundation Establishment; spiritual-root aptitude, mana purity, divine sense, state of mind, body condition, and auxiliary spiritual items all affect its outcome. 157 198 336

After forming a Core, cultivators still face severe disparities in cultivation speed and future potential. Vast resources are needed to advance beyond the Early Stage, and many Core Formation cultivators remain permanently at the Early or Mid-Stage. 250 376

Core Formation phenomena can be particularly dangerous because they draw the attention of hostile cultivators and demonic beasts. In the Spirit Realm's denser spiritual environment, Core Formation phenomena are less extravagant but more solid, and cultivators can focus more directly on condensation; the success rate is consequently higher. 605
