"Watch out!"
Seeing two massive Trolls charging recklessly toward the two archers in the group, the surrounding dwarves immediately shouted.
"Quick, stop them!"
Thorin Oakenshield roared instantly.
Monsters of such immense size possessed thick skin and incredibly sturdy defenses.
Given the strength of the Company, only Morgan and Kili in the group could inflict damage on the monsters using Archery.
Thorin Oakenshield had realized this from the very beginning.
The fact that Morgan had just shot and killed that slightly smaller Troll monster was proof enough.
Now, the two monsters clearly realized that the two archers were the greatest threats.
They were attempting to kill Morgan and Kili first.
In such a moment, Thorin Oakenshield naturally had to prioritize protecting the two archers.
Only by protecting the two archers would there be any possibility of defeating these two monsters.
"Quick, stop them!"
Thorin Oakenshield bellowed as he charged forward.
A dozen dwarves swarmed up.
Although they couldn't kill the two Trolls in one go, having several short swords, axes, and hammers stabbing, piercing, and smashing at their lower bodies was far from pleasant.
The injured Trolls roared immediately, waving their massive hands to swat at the flea-like dwarves beneath them.
On Kili's side, the Troll Menbo was surrounded by dwarves; suddenly feeling the pain, he couldn't help but stop in his tracks and reach out with a large hand to swat at them.
Kili fired an arrow and took the opportunity to turn and retreat immediately.
Meanwhile, on Morgan's side.
The Troll Kuibo was likewise entangled by the dwarves.
Quickly enraged by the dwarves, the Troll Kuibo swung the thick tree trunk in his hand, smashing it violently toward them.
The dwarves leaped and dodged, narrowly avoiding the Troll's attacks.
Only the surrounding trees, ground, flowers, and soil were completely turned upside down.
Morgan remained standing where he was.
With a calm gaze, he watched the massive Troll not far away and pulled another arrow from the quiver on his back.
With Morgan's current level of Archery, firing two arrows at once was quite proficient, and three was possible, but the accuracy would be significantly lower.
While the massive Troll in front of him looked like a huge, living target, that was not actually the case. Although the Troll was large, because of its thick skin, the damage caused by arrows hitting its head—which was relatively a weak point—was very limited.
Let alone shooting the Troll anywhere else.
This point had already been demonstrated by Morgan and Kili earlier.
Even with their heads bristling with arrows, the Trolls could still jump around; shooting elsewhere, besides wasting arrows, would obviously have no effect.
Everyone now knew that the eyes were the only weak point of a Troll.
But even if a Troll was massive, there was a limit to how large its eyes could be.
It was like Morgan having a high hit rate when shooting an Orc in the head, but if he were required to specifically hit an Orc's eye to kill it, the difficulty would certainly skyrocket.
Moreover, the two giant Trolls before them now seemed to know they needed to protect their eyes.
Morgan dared not be arrogant at this moment; by firing one arrow at a time, his accuracy would naturally be higher.
"Hoo."
His breathing quickly became steady, his focus concentrated entirely on one point, his heart calm and composed.
Morgan drew his bow and nocked an arrow, aiming carefully at the massive Troll not far away, striving to find the best opportunity.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Damn dwarves! Once I catch you, I'll swallow you alive, roast you, and boil you into a thick soup!"
The Troll Kuibo spoke in anger, the thick tree trunk in his hand like a toy, smashing it everywhere and sending grass, wood, and mud splattering.
"That's only if you can catch us!"
"Stupid big lug."
"You're too slow; you'll never catch us, you're only fit to be toyed with by us."
"Come on, catch me! If you catch me, I'll let you eat me!"
"Haha."
The dwarves moved with agile grace, leaping and darting around the Troll Kuibo, mocking him relentlessly.
Troll Kuibo grew increasingly enraged: "Damn it, you wretched dwarves, squirrels, rats!"
"Hey, big guy, look over here! Come and catch me if you can!"
Bofur, wearing a leather cap and clutching a short hammer, stood behind the Troll, wiggling his backside and slapping it with his hand, loudly provoking the beast.
Troll Kuibo rolled his eyes, not turning around, as if he hadn't heard Bofur's taunts at all.
He continued to swing the tree trunk in his hand, relentlessly chasing after Gloin.
Just as Bofur began to relax, thinking his provocation had failed to draw the Troll's attention, Troll Kuibo suddenly dropped the tree trunk and lunged backward with a ferocious pounce toward Bofur.
"Watch out!"
"Bofur, look out!"
The surrounding dwarves roared in unison.
Seeing the massive Troll suddenly pounce, Bofur's expression changed drastically, and he immediately turned to flee.
But Troll Kuibo's movement was incredibly sudden.
The massive Troll covered over ten meters in a single leap, and with a sweep of his long arm, he snatched Bofur up, leaving the dwarf completely helpless.
"Bofur, watch out!"
"Bofur!"
"Let Bofur go!"
Seeing Bofur captured, the surrounding dwarves immediately rushed forward, swinging their weapons with all their might to attack the Troll.
However, having finally caught a dwarf, the Troll simply waved his massive hand to swat the others away, not bothering to retaliate.
"Hehe, finally caught you!"
Troll Kuibo grinned, revealing a mouth full of blackened, yellowed, and jagged fangs. He stared at the small dwarf in his hand with wide, murky eyes, letting out a sinister growl.
"Now!"
From a distance, Morgan, who had been aiming his bow and arrow at the Troll for quite some time, watched as the beast stood still, his eyes wide and focused.
He released the arrow he had been gripping tightly.
Whoosh!
The long arrow whistled through the air, piercing the silence with a sharp, rapid sound.
The next second.
"Awoo!"
A piercing, agonizing scream echoed across the entire forest battlefield.
In that moment, everyone's attention—including that of the other Troll—was drawn instantly to the screaming beast.
Then, everyone saw Troll Kuibo, struck by the arrow, fling the dwarf Bofur aside.
His body trembled as he frantically reached up to claw at his bleeding eye socket.
The wait was short.
Soon, the Troll pulled a blood-soaked arrow from his eye socket; at the sharp tip of the arrow hung a bloody, white mass.
After pulling the arrow out, the Troll's massive frame trembled even more violently.
He struggled to lift the gore-covered arrow before his one remaining eye, as if trying to see what it was.
But his massive body could no longer hold its weight, and he collapsed face-first onto the ground.
Thud!
The four-meter-tall Troll crashed to the earth, causing the ground to shake.
The last remaining Troll, the largest of them all, finally felt fear.
He turned and immediately fled.
Morgan was about to shout for them to stop the Troll, but he saw the dwarves who had been blocking the path immediately step aside to let the beast pass.
Morgan couldn't help but curse in frustration: "Damn it!"
