After winning the Battle Seal contest and absorbing the Western Heaven Continent’s Spiritual Power, he faced a heavenly tribulation under the protection of a mysterious woman.

• Xiao Yan seized the Void Devouring Flame from the Medicine Clan, while Xiao Yixian and Chen Duo finished off its leaders and the Three-One Sect gathered to challenge the Soul Alliance.
• Lu Yu revealed the Heaven-Defying Seal’s true body, entered Tuoshe Ancient Emperor’s cave mansion, subdued the Emperor Grade Nascent Pill, and broke through to Dou Emperor with Ya Fei’s help.
• Lu Yu opened a passage to the higher plane, traveled to the Luoshen Clan, converted his Dou Qi into Spiritual Power, and quickly reached the Earth Supreme realm.

Lu Yu reunited with Wang Ye and Zhuge Qing, found the Ancient Heavenly Palace, and revived Luoshen, but the resurrection sent them to Douluo Continent. There, Lu Yu protected Luoshen and met a younger Zhu Zhuqing, then followed her toward Suotuo City.

• Lu Yu advanced to Heaven Supreme, settled his dispute with the Western Heaven Battle Emperor, and later left Luoshen City with Luoshen Li after raising her to the First Grade Supreme Realm.

Lu Yu and Luoshen left Suotuo City after Luoshen awakened her martial soul and set out to find her a first soul ring. A hundred-thousand-year beast drove them into a cavern, where they discovered a freezing pool that awakened Luoshen Gong.

• Lu Yu and Zhu Zhuqing spared a pregnant Phoenix-tail Crested Serpent, then Lu Yu defeated A Meng and the Wen brothers before releasing it.
• Lu Yu, Luoshen, and Zhu Zhuqing traveled to Suotuo City, where Lu Yu remembered Lu Jin as they shared wine and food.
• Lu Yu took Luoshen to Spirit Hall, where Elder Sade awakened her Luoshen Sword martial soul and tested her Soul Power.
• Luoshen declined Elder Sade’s invitation to join Spirit Hall, and Lu Yu decided to take her to Sunset Forest to find a soul ring.
• Zhu Zhuqing left a note and departed, while Lu Yu and Luoshen headed toward Sunset Forest in search of a speed-type soul ring.
• A hundred-thousand-year Unicorn Tiger Demon Beast chased Lu Yu and Luoshen to a cliff, forcing them to leap into the pool beneath a waterfall and hide in a cave.
• Lu Yu found a hidden passage leading to a crystal cavern, where he and Luoshen discovered an ice-covered pool containing Thousand Year Profound Crystal Liquid and a Thousand Year Profound Sky Cold Crystal.
• Lu Yu and Luoshen entered the pool under his Soul Power protection, and Luoshen’s Luoshen Gong responded to the energy entering her body.

Lu Yu and Luoshen survived the Sunset Great Forest’s illusions, attacks, and soul beast tide, while Luoshen gained her first Soul Ring. After meeting Spirit Hall’s forces, they left to seek an academy where they could grow stronger on their own terms.

• Lu Yu and Luoshen escaped the forest’s looping illusion, then helped Elder Sade break free from traps that exploited his ambitions and guarded him when the Chen family confronted them.
• Elder Sade revealed Spirit Hall was investigating the Thunder Kui Ox, and he joined Lu Yu and Luoshen as they searched for a suitable Soul Ring while avoiding the forest’s dangers.
• Living vines captured the group, but Lu Yu used fire talismans to free them, and the trio continued through the forest as other teams became trapped in illusions.
• Elder Sade subdued a Crimson Feather Fire Phoenix, and Luoshen killed it and absorbed its Soul Ring before a soul beast tide forced them to flee.
• Lu Yu drew the pursuing soul beasts away with talismans while the tide overwhelmed the Chen family expedition, killing Chen Bing and driving the survivors to abandon their search.
• Luoshen demonstrated her new soul skill as the group explored the forest’s outskirts, where other teams pursued a Purple Rhyme Spirit Radiance Grass and fought the beasts guarding it.
• Lu Yu devised a way to stop waves of Tusk Snow Mice by guarding their burrows with Luoshen and Elder Sade, then the group prepared to leave before more beasts arrived.
• Lu Yu and Luoshen declined to join the Spirit Hall group and discussed leaving the forest to enroll in an academy, with Lu Yu weighing Heaven Dou Royal Academy, Spirit Hall Academy, and Shrek Academy.
