The android Abby used her hands as blades, attacking the Third Raikage without reservation. Every move she made utilized the purest form of the Raikage-style taijutsu! The Third Raikage did not yield in the slightest, meeting Abby head-on with the exact same techniques in a fierce sparring match.
The onlookers had long since scattered. The appearance of an android had brought them considerable shock, and the fact that the Third Raikage had unexpectedly replicated himself was even more astonishing.
But the battle ended quickly. As an android, Abby's initial strength was capped at a high Tier 1, roughly equivalent to a genin or chunin, which naturally meant nothing to a Kage-level fighter like the Third Raikage.
However, androids had the advantage of being able to accompany reincarnators through cycles, could be strengthened, and would never betray their masters.
The group's minds began to race: if one could customize personalities and create life from memories, then perhaps—no, surely—resurrection was possible!
Some might feel that since androids could be customized based on a reincarnator's memories, setting them to the personality and memories of a deceased family member would be beautiful. But for some, a life possessing the same memories was nothing more than self-deception.
As if they had all arrived at the same thought regarding resurrection, they exchanged glances before Orochimaru spoke up, "Main God, is it possible to resurrect a specific life?"
The ethereal voice of the Main God echoed through the space:
[Affirmative. Reincarnators may resurrect a specific life by paying the required side-story quests and points.]
Upon hearing this, the Third Raikage immediately pressed, [Main God, what is the cost to resurrect the Third Raikage?]
Thinking of the father who had always stood before him in his memories, the father who had accompanied him through grueling physical training in his youth, the Third Raikage's breathing grew heavy. He clenched his fists, waiting for the Main God's reply...
[Ninja World - Third Raikage, strength Tier 3 Mid. Resurrection cost: 40,000 points, 2 B-rank side-story quests.]
40,000 points and two B-rank side-story quests! The Third Raikage felt a jolt in his heart upon seeing the price. He felt a moment of disappointment, but quickly steeled himself. As long as he could bring his father back, what were a mere 40,000 points and some side-story quests? Father, wait for me! the Third Raikage shouted firmly in his heart.
"Everyone, perhaps the wars in the Ninja World have made our respective villages hostile, but I believe that at least during our reincarnation missions, we can temporarily set aside our village affiliations."
The Third Raikage's stern voice interrupted their thoughts.
"Oh? Even the Raikage, who has always championed strength, is willing to compromise? Truly the measure of a village leader," Orochimaru responded with interest.
"Orochimaru, there is no need for such probing; it is meaningless. I don't care what you think, but in future missions, if anyone blocks my path, I will kill them! Matters within the Main God Space shall be resolved within the Main God Space! Outside of it, we rely on our own means!" The Third Raikage's words radiated powerful confidence.
"It seems Doflamingo's blow didn't teach you how insignificant you truly are, Raikage!" Orochimaru was not at all impressed by such arrogant posturing.
"Orochimaru, I haven't settled the score regarding Blue Bee with you yet!"
Hearing Orochimaru's high-level sarcasm, the Third Raikage's explosive temper flared, and he nearly unleashed his chakra to beat him, but he stopped himself, remembering something.
After all, the Main God Space did not restrict combat, but one could not kill those within it. Without the ability to cut the weeds and dig up the roots, meaningless fighting would only create unnecessary enemies. Even though Orochimaru and the Cloud Village had been blood enemies since the Third Great Ninja War, the Third Raikage held back for the sake of a greater goal.
It had to be said, the Third Raikage was, after all, a Kage; he possessed the necessary restraint.
Seeing that he hadn't succeeded in provoking the Raikage, Orochimaru stopped stirring up trouble and tacitly accepted the proposal. The others, who had been watching the show, sighed inwardly and agreed as well.
After some discussion, the group agreed on the following:
1. During reincarnation missions, reincarnators shall prioritize cooperation unless their objectives conflict;
2. Regular meetings shall be held to exchange intelligence and items, including but not limited to mission information, world data, and mission props;
In the Ninja World, within a vast and desolate desert.
Pakura appeared amidst the light of the Main God's teleportation. Looking around, she realized this was exactly where she had been before entering the Main God Space, back when she was executing a mission for the village.
She had no idea how the mission had progressed, so she decided to return to the village to report first. She wondered how much time had passed; her beloved disciple must have been worried sick!
Thinking of her dear disciple Maki, Pakura returned to the village hidden in the yellow sands—Sunagakure—with a faint smile on her lips.
Inside the Kazekage's office in Sunagakure.
Rasa looked at Pakura, who had returned to report, with a gloomy expression and spoke coldly:
"Pakura, I sent you on a mission, yet you vanished for three days without a word. You offer no explanation for this. What exactly are you trying to do?"
Pakura could only offer a bitter smile, unable to explain the reason for her disappearance. Internally, she pondered, Vanished for three days? I only spent a little over a day in the reincarnation world, plus the time in the Main God Space, it's only been about a day and a half. Is the time flow different?
Rasa watched the silent Pakura, his dissatisfaction growing. Thinking of the suggestions made by the village elders a few days prior, he grew increasingly wary of this bloodline ninja who threatened his position as Kazekage. He made a decision and said to her:
"The previous mission is canceled. The village has decided to send you on a secret mission instead..."
Using the pretext of a classified mission, Rasa sent Pakura out of the village, ordering her to head to the border of the Hidden Mist Village to deliver secret intelligence to the ninjas stationed there. The situation was urgent, and she was to depart immediately.
Even though Pakura had become a reincarnator, she did not feel she had changed much and still held a certain loyalty to her village. Thus, without having the chance to see her disciple Maki, she set off from Sunagakure without a moment's rest.
What she did not know was that a conspiracy awaited her.
Half a day later, Pakura, having traveled at full speed, arrived at the border of the Hidden Mist Village. Upon reaching the designated location, she met a dozen ninjas from her own village.
Pakura looked at the masked ninja leading the group and took out the mission scroll, preparing to hand it over.
Just then, the sound of something tearing through the air erupted from behind her. A dense swarm of kunai and hidden weapons sealed off all her paths of escape! Caught completely off guard, Pakura was struck squarely in the back and collapsed on the spot.
"So painful... you people, you aren't from Sunagakure, are you?" Pakura gasped.
The masked leader dodged the attack with a Body Flicker Technique, jumped down from a tree, and walked slowly toward her.
"Of course we aren't those fools from Sunagakure. Ha! What a pity! To think the famous Scorch Style would be betrayed and abandoned by her own village!"
"What!" Pakura felt a flame burning in her chest, a fire that made her want to destroy everything, to take revenge!
"Heh, so that's how it is. Then you can go to hell as well!"
"Still running your mouth when death is at your doorstep? I'll grant your wish right now!"
The masked ninja sneered, stepping back and waving his hand to signal his subordinates to throw their hidden weapons and finish her off.
A rain of shuriken and kunai filled the sky, casting a shadow like the Grim Reaper over Pakura.
Yet, the slaughter the masked ninja envisioned never came to pass. A golden radiance erupted, forming a hemispherical barrier that enveloped Pakura.
"Sever all things! Wall of Avalon, which isolates the filth of the outside world and cuts off all things in this reality! Avalon!"
The golden barrier encased Pakura, as if isolating her from this very space. Every projectile passed straight through the barrier, as powerless as striking a mere projection. Pakura, previously covered in wounds, felt her injuries knitting together rapidly under the warm light; in mere moments, she was restored to her prime!
"What is this? Kill her!"
Seeing this scene that defied all common sense, the enemy ninjas disguised as Sunagakure forces panicked and unleashed their attacks in a frenzy!
"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet!"
"Water Style: Water Fang Blade!"
"Hah, so it was Hidden Mist all along!" Pakura felt her body fully recovered. Maintaining the Avalon barrier, she walked step by step toward the Hidden Mist group as they continued their relentless assault.
The barrage of Water Style ninjutsu struck the golden barrier, but it was like striking the moon reflected in water—no, even the moon's reflection would ripple. Here, it was as if they were attacking another world entirely; every strike failed to have the slightest effect on Pakura.
"Despicable wretches, feel my fury!" Inside the golden barrier, dozens of giant fireballs manifested around Pakura, the scorching, terrifying heat saturating the entire space.
"Scorch Style: Overload Vapor Murder!"
As Pakura shouted, the golden barrier shattered like glass, and the dozens of scorching fireballs erupted instantly to meet the incoming water attacks!
The collision between fire and water instantly filled the surrounding forest with a massive volume of steam! The masked ninja felt a surge of joy; despite his fear of Pakura's unknown ability, this steam-filled battlefield was home turf for the Hidden Mist. This wave—the advantage was his!
He moved his hands to weave signs, but why wouldn't his right arm obey? A hand wreathed in flames had pierced straight through his shoulder.
"What are you thinking about?" A whisper like the voice of death echoed in his ear.
He blasted backward dozens of meters, clutching his arm with his remaining hand, cold sweat pouring down his face... When did this happen?
It turned out that most of his subordinates had already been killed or wounded in the clash of ninjutsu. Pakura had crippled him in one strike and immediately began slaughtering the rest. With every punch and kick, the Hidden Mist ninjas collapsed powerlessly, their bodies withered like mummies drained of all moisture.
"A terrifying woman, she wants to take me alive!" The masked Hidden Mist leader was struck with terror. Such brutal methods shattered his will to fight, and he turned to flee.
But the moment he turned, two kunai struck his ankles, and his legs gave way, forcing him to his knees. A foot slammed down onto his back. "Where do you think you're going?"
"Cough, cough... To think Sunagakure would plot against the Hidden Mist... Sunagakure will pay for this!"
He clearly believed that everything Pakura had done was orchestrated by the higher-ups of Sunagakure; otherwise, how could she have turned the tables in a hopeless situation?
Yet, only Pakura knew that if she hadn't exchanged for a C-rank perfect item in the Main God Space, she would have already died in hatred.
[Distant Utopia: Avalon (Pseudo) Rating: C-rank Perfect Price: 3 C-rank side-story missions, 3000 points Description: Only three uses available. Can heal non-fatal injuries. Upon true name release, the scabbard unfolds, placing the user within the other-dimensional Avalon. It can block all attacks below the third tier, and attacks above the third tier are significantly weakened.]
"I hope you can still say that in a moment!"
Pakura reached out to seal his chakra, but the masked ninja had already resolved to die. Once subdued, he bit down on the poison hidden in his mouth.
"I'll be waiting for you in hell," the masked ninja spat out his final words viciously before vomiting blood and dying.
"Hidden Mist, and Rasa..."
Pakura whispered, taking the forehead protector from her brow and dragging a kunai harshly across the Sunagakure symbol.
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique." A torrent of flames erupted from her mouth, incinerating the wreckage of the battlefield...
