Background / History

Naruto was born during the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha. To save the village, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki sealed the beast inside their son and sacrificed themselves. Before disappearing from public view, Minato asked that Naruto be protected under Kushina's surname; Hiruzen Sarutobi arranged for Haruna Sarutobi to care for him. 1 4 11

After Minato resurrected Kushina through the Main God Space, the couple returned to Konoha and reunited with Naruto, who had grown into a toddler during Kushina's absence. 39 40

Appearance

Naruto is described as having golden hair, whisker-like markings on his cheeks, and facial features strongly resembling Minato. Kushina also recognizes an Uzumaki constitution and the Nine-Tails' presence within him. 156
