Background

Heavenly Strategy Academy occupies the former site of the Tyrant Body Sect, once Cloud Province’s strongest sect and a body-tempering power. After the Tyrant Body Sect refused to submit to Great Xia’s Founding Ancestor, he destroyed it and established the academy on its grounds. The Tyrant Body Sect’s Azure Dragon Tyrant Body later became Heavenly Strategy Academy’s foremost body-tempering cultivation method. 434

The academy was subsequently established as a guard over the Demon Abyss, whose demonic qi and surviving dangers could not be completely sealed away. 468

Its mountain gate is constructed from an unknown runic material and exerts an oppressive spiritual pressure. White-jade stairs lead past exotic plants to a broad white-jade plaza and palace halls on the mountain. 299

Admissions

Dragon Ascent

The academy’s principal admission event is the Dragon Ascent, a Cloud Province-wide selection held once every five years. Only 360 disciples are normally admitted each cycle. 297 480

The second Dragon Ascent can include dangerous elimination trials, including a free-for-all in which candidates are removed by concession or by being forced outside the boundary. Contestants may be killed, though lethal strikes are discouraged and personal retaliation remains outside the academy’s responsibility. 322 323

Rankings and Rewards

Heavenly Strategy Stormcloud List

The Heavenly Strategy Stormcloud List is the academy-wide top-100 ranking, contested by students across all cohorts. Names are recorded on a stone stele beside the Battle Tower. 373 374

A student must remain on the list for a full month before collecting its rewards. At eighty-fifth place, the recorded benefits included fifty academy credits per month, three monthly Battle Tower entries, three days in the Spirit Tower, and three days in the Martial Tower. 379

Battle Tower access is initially restricted: students below the Heavenly Origin Second Layer cannot enter it or accept missions. 350

The body path requires a cultivator to reach the Silver Blood Realm merely to qualify for selection. Its ultimate inheritance, the Eight Fiends Four Symbols Heaven-Subduing Force, incorporates the Eight Fiends Dragon-Subduing Force and Frenzied War Four Symbols Art as prerequisites. 511 527

To meet the body inheritance’s long-term standard, a student must reach the seventh Heavenly Origin layer in body tempering and transform their qi and blood into gold within five years. 464
