| Heavenly Realm | A vast realm larger than any individual Great World. Its most prominent powers are the Heavenly Court and Spirit Mountain, the latter being Buddhism's domain. 208 |

Cultivation and Daos
The Three Realms recognizes countless ordinary Daos, alongside Great Daos and ten Heavenly Daos. The Dao of the Sword, Dripping Water, and Thunder are Great Daos; the Heavenly Daos are Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Yin, Yang, Life, Destruction, and Chaos. 3
| Dao progression | Description |
|---|---|
| True intent of one Dao | Initial comprehension of a Dao. 3 |
| True intent of multiple Daos | Comprehension of several Dao true intents. 3 |
| Domain of the Dao | A higher stage of Dao attainment. 3 |
| Complete Dao | Full comprehension of a Dao. 3 |
- Fully comprehending one Heavenly Dao can lead to Dao Ancestor status. 195
- Comprehending opposing Heavenly Daos—such as Yin and Yang—can grant a major increase in strength, but their mutual interference makes the path exceptionally dangerous. 195
- Fate and destiny affect conflict within the Three Realms: repeated victories strengthen a faction's destiny, allowing it to wield more Heaven-and-Earth energy in battle. 325
History
Formation
During the final days of the ancient era, the Pangu Chaos World and Wujian Chaos World collided under the guidance of the Chaos Alien Race's Lord of All Things. Their fusion created the Three Realms. 285 303
The collision was followed by wars between the God-Fiends of the two original chaos worlds. During these conflicts, Nuwa became a World God; the surviving Wujian forces later remained in the new world under Feng Mo's leadership. 303 304
The Three Realms' World Heart is Qi Supreme's Divine Crystal. Qi Supreme's arrangements also produced the hazardous regions surrounding the world, protecting it from easy access through the Chaos. 292
Ancient conflicts
Humanity migrated from the primordial world into Great Worlds and fought native Gods and Demons for survival and resources. In the Great Xia World, clans such as the Xiamang and Zhuanshui clans eventually secured human dominance, though surviving Gods and Demons withdrew into remote regions. 19
Ancient-era warfare killed most of the ten Ancestral Gods. Later foreign invasions convinced the major factions that internal attrition could endanger the entire Three Realms. 162
War of Destiny and reconstruction
A shift in fate foretold a catastrophe in which either the Nuwa Faction or the Seamless Faction would be destroyed, intensifying hostility between the two camps. 315 323
The conflict led to the destruction of the Heavenly Court and the Six Paths of Reincarnation. Ju Hua and Patriarch Bodhi rebuilt the Six Paths over one year, restoring the operation and stability of the Three Realms. 347
Later rise
After Source Elder's enslavement of numerous mighty figures was exposed and ended, Ju Hua introduced high-level cultivation legacies to the realm's leaders. 385 386
Ju Hua later established a contribution system and trial grounds to distribute further legacies. Cultivators can earn contribution points through acts including eliminating great evils, teaching disciples, and seeking treasures in the Chaos. 571
Nuwa eventually returned to the Three Realms and found it prosperous enough to contain several Dao Lords. 641
Major Factions
| Faction | Role |
|---|---|
| Heavenly Court | Major Heavenly Realm power supported by numerous Dao Ancestors. 208 |
| Spirit Mountain / Buddhism | Buddhist stronghold in the Heavenly Realm. 208 |
| Daoist Sect | One of the leading factions of the Three Realms. 157 |
| Seamless Gate | A top-tier faction and the core of the Seamless Faction during the War of Destiny. 157 323 |
| Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors | Major human lineage and political bloc, closely connected to the Zhuanxu and Ancient Imperial clans. 157 |
| Nuwa Faction | The opposing camp to the Seamless Faction during the War of Destiny. 315 323 |
| Star-Plucking Lineage | A lineage restored to prominence through a grand return ceremony and Ju Hua's subsequent public lecture. 290 |
Defenses and External Access
- The regions surrounding the Three Realms are overwhelmingly lethal; only one known safe direction contains a space-time channel leading toward the Great Mo Domain. 292
- The remaining routes include perilous zones capable of killing even Dao Lords. 292
- Ju Hua later cleared a safer route for Three Realms cultivators to leave the world and seek experience in the wider Chaos. 569
- Ju Hua's Dharma body remains stationed in the Three Realms, serving as a deterrent against outside threats. 536
Threats
Chaos Alien Race
Chaos Alien Race incursions have repeatedly threatened the Three Realms. Some survivors from the forces that followed the Lord of All Things remain in the Ancient Ruins World, where the realm's mighty figures deliberately leave them as both a warning and a source of tempering for younger cultivators. 285
Dao Ancestor Yingyu betrayed the Three Realms' location and intelligence to the Nine Directions Army in exchange for an improved Golden Core. The army subsequently considered conquering the realm and seizing its World Heart. 301 302 304
Source Elder
Source Elder was an outsider who had possessed a Three Realms cultivator and sought the realm's World Heart. 204 He later enslaved many of the realm's mighty figures before Ju Hua annihilated both his soul and true spirit. 385
Lord of Heart Demons
The Lord of Heart Demons merged with the Heavenly Dao and spread a force that drove mortals, cultivators, and Celestial Immortals into violence and death through inner demons. 307 309 318 Hou Yi ultimately killed him. 340
Legacy Infrastructure
- Three Realms Divine Hall — A divine hall built by Ju Hua in the endless void, housing numerous profound inheritances. 570
- Contribution system — A realm-wide system through which legacies are exchanged for contribution points rather than freely distributed. 571
- Trial grounds — Training sites established throughout the Three Realms to let cultivators earn inheritances through their own efforts. 571
- Ancient Ruins World — A collective term for desolate remnants of the original chaos worlds; these areas lack a functioning Heavenly Dao and possess scarce spiritual energy. 285
Trivia
- The Three Realms is considered an inconspicuous chaos world within the wider Chaos Universe. 72
- Its Dao of the Sword is classified as a Great Dao within the Three Realms, though the broader Chaos Universe does not rank Daos as inherently high or low. 72
- Formed from the fusion of two chaos worlds, the Three Realms is more stable than an ordinary chaos world and is projected to endure for another seven or eight Chaos Epochs. 660
