Age 737.
Universe 7, Planet Vegeta.
"Bang!"
A young boy in blue armor with spiky hair was sent flying, crashing into the dirt and kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Vegeta, you've already lost to me 735 times. Why are you still so persistent? You and I are simply not from the same world."
A child stood there with a look of utter helplessness, his hands spread wide. His eyes were like galaxies, and a confident, sharp-edged smile always played on his lips.
Despite his youthful face, he possessed a composure far beyond his years.
He had been born into this place in the blink of an eye, becoming a seven-year-old Saiyan; he was quite helpless about it himself.
To make matters worse, he had been adopted by King Vegeta and was now being pestered by this guy, Vegeta.
Mu Yang could only describe his situation as rotten luck!
"Cut the crap, Mu Yang! I haven't lost yet. Take this!" As the smoke cleared, Vegeta's small frame appeared before him.
He gathered two energy blasts in his hands and fired them off frantically!
"Rat-tat-tat!"
"Muda! Muda! Muda!"
Mu Yang swatted them away casually, deflecting every energy blast Vegeta fired.
They flew off into the distance, erupting in a series of thunderous explosions!
"How is this possible!?"
Vegeta's expression was one of disbelief as he stumbled back a few steps, cold sweat dripping down his face.
"Do you finally realize the gap between us, Vegeta...-chan?"
Mu Yang's tone was mocking, a playful smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"Don't call me -chan! You bastard!"
Vegeta gritted his teeth, his fists clenching instinctively.
He really wanted to beat this jerk to a pulp, but he couldn't win—that was the most infuriating part!
If he could only win once, he'd make sure the other guy learned exactly why flowers are so red.
"Alright, I got it, Vegeta-chan. I won't call you Vegeta-chan ever again."
The smile on Mu Yang's face grew even more wicked. Thinking back to the time he'd tricked Vegeta into wearing women's clothing, he couldn't help but burst into laughter.
It was just too funny!
Hahahaha...
It was a pity he couldn't share it; there were no cameras on Planet Vegeta, or he would have loved to record it.
Vegeta didn't know what Mu Yang was thinking, but even so, his face turned livid, and he turned his head away with a huff.
"If you do that again, I'm never calling you brother again."
"Tch! Vegeta-chan, have you forgotten? You've never called me brother in the first place."
"You bastard! I'll fight you to the death!"
Vegeta lunged forward, opening his small mouth to reveal his little fangs, and bit down toward Mu Yang.
Mu Yang affectionately hugged little Vegeta, and seeing him bite down on his battle armor, he couldn't help but tease him again: "Little Vegeta-chan, that's the hardest part of my entire suit."
"Does it hurt?"
"It hurts!"
Vegeta felt like his teeth were about to shatter, and he fought back the tears welling up in his eyes.
This jerk, he actually wore high-class warrior armor!
He'd even chipped his front tooth.
Vegeta filed this grudge away in his heart, swearing he would get his revenge one day!!
His foolish brother would never see it coming!
Seeing Vegeta's adorably stupid expression, Mu Yang couldn't reconcile him with the arrogant Vegeta he knew from the future.
The gap between the two was just too vast! Who could have guessed that such a cute, dim-witted little guy would grow up to be so haughty?
Mu Yang figured it was because Vegeta had been too lonely after the Saiyan race was destroyed.
Once this thought took root, Mu Yang couldn't shake it. He patted Vegeta's small head and said softly, full of pity: "Don't worry, brother won't let you be alone!"
Vegeta was confused by these words.
What was his brother going crazy about now? What was this about being alone or not? He was doing just fine right now!
Boom!
A massive commotion erupted from the royal palace in the distance, drawing the attention of Mu Yang and Vegeta.
"That is...!"
Mu Yang's expression turned solemn. In his perception, aside from the ki of his foster father, King Vegeta, there was no other presence at the palace.
Yet now, such a disturbance had broken out!
That could only mean one thing: the catalyst for the destruction of Planet Vegeta, the God of Destruction Beerus, had finally arrived!
If not handled correctly, this event would be the beginning of the end for Planet Vegeta!
"You go first, Vegeta!"
Mu Yang's face was serious as never before, his ki rising to its peak.
Hearing this, Vegeta felt a sudden surge of unease in his heart and asked with instinctive worry, "What about you?"
"Me?"
"I'll be back soon, don't worry."
Mu Yang smiled as he set Vegeta down, patting his small head until his hair was a mess, before turning and walking toward the palace with a satisfied look.
Vegeta watched Mu Yang's retreating figure, staring blankly as he left, tears streaming down his face unconsciously as he whispered to himself:
"You must come back safely... big brother."
On the other side.
The royal palace of Planet Vegeta.
King Vegeta was currently having an intimate encounter with the floor, his face distorted under the weight of a purple cat-like foot pressing down on him.
King Vegeta tried his best to erupt with his ki to break free, but it was all in vain.
Every effort was futile.
The owner of the cat-like foot, the God of Destruction Beerus, had a chilling glint in his eyes as he spoke coldly: "King Vegeta, should I call you stupid or clever? You actually gave me the second-best pillow in the universe while keeping the best one for yourself!"
"What? Does a mere Saiyan like you want to stand above me, the God of Destruction?"
Facing Beerus's oppressive interrogation, cold sweat poured down King Vegeta's face, and he was filled with regret!
Had he known it would end like this, he never would have let greed get the better of him and hidden away the best pillow in the universe.
"Lord Beerus, if you don't mind..."
King Vegeta forced an ugly smile onto his twisted face.
Beerus released King Vegeta, turned, and sat down on the seat King Vegeta had occupied moments ago, his gaze filled with endless coldness.
He knew exactly what King Vegeta was going to say—nothing more than offering to return the best pillow in the universe—but did he really need it? No, he did not!
What he required was a mortal's awe and respect for a God of Destruction!
"You can keep that best pillow in the universe for yourself, King Vegeta."
Beerus had already made up his mind; on his way back, he would notify Frieza to come and destroy Planet Vegeta.
Beside him, Whis stood silently, holding his staff without a word.
He naturally knew what Beerus was thinking.
But so what? A God of Destruction inherently possessed the right to dispose of anything within his universe, and an Angel had no grounds to intervene!
Besides, this was a case of the Saiyans courting their own death! No one else was to blame.
