Vados had no objections.
She had never tasted Earth's delicacies, nor had she been baptized by the Dragon Kingdom cuisine from Mu Yang's past life, so she was perfectly willing to accept eating the Dongdong Bird eggs raw.
How was the food Mu Yang made?
Was it delicious?
Vados was somewhat looking forward to Mu Yang's cooking; after all, she had long grown tired of everything in Universe 6.
Now that there was new food to try, Vados supported it with both hands.
Soon, Mu Yang walked slowly out of the kitchen, carrying four plates of Dongdong Bird egg fried rice.
The presentation of the fried rice was excellent.
Mu Yang placed the four portions of fried rice on the table in front of Vados, Whis, himself, and Champa.
"Hey, what is the meaning of this, kid?" Champa said, exasperated.
"Meaning of what?" Mu Yang feigned confusion.
"What do you think?" Champa grew angrier as he spoke. "I am a dignified Destroyer God! What is the meaning of serving me last?"
"Do I, a Destroyer God, not deserve some face?"
"Tch." Mu Yang rolled his eyes, speechless. "Are you going to eat it or not? If not, I'm taking it back."
As he spoke, Mu Yang reached out as if to take back Champa's plate.
Champa moved faster, quickly shielding the fried rice on his plate. "I'll eat it."
Mu Yang sat back down, picked up his spoon, scooped some fried rice into his mouth, and smiled.
Seeing this, Champa became even more suspicious. Was this stuff really that good?
Champa leaned his nose toward the plate of fried rice, sniffing it as he looked.
It smelled so good!
And the presentation really was quite nice!
Could it be that the food this kid made was actually better than the Dongdong Bird eggs he had found himself?
Impossible, absolutely impossible!
Just as Champa picked up his spoon and prepared to dig in, he heard an exclamation from beside him.
"Oh~, delicious!" Vados covered her cheeks with her hands, her spoon empty while she continued to chew.
"Oh my, it truly is delicious." Whis exhaled a puff of hot air and praised, "It doesn't lose out even compared to Earth's cuisine. I didn't expect Mr. Mu Yang to have such a talent."
Hearing this, Champa, still somewhat skeptical, used his spoon to scoop up a mouthful of fried rice and put it into his mouth.
It melted the moment it touched his tongue, and Champa's eyes lit up instantly as the delicious flavor of the fried rice flowed into his stomach.
"Delicious!!"
The sound echoed throughout the entire Destroyer God Realm.
Champa hadn't expected the food Mu Yang made to be this good; compared to this delicacy, those Dongdong Bird eggs were practically garbage.
Before long, Champa had finished eating.
"Whew~, delicious."
Champa rubbed his bulging belly, feeling completely satisfied.
"Champa."
After finishing his meal, Mu Yang wiped his mouth. "Since we're done eating, let's have some post-meal exercise."
Vados and Whis both looked surprised. Challenging a Destroyer God at a time like this?
They couldn't help but be shocked, as in the eyes of Vados and Whis, there was still a massive gap between Mu Yang's current strength and that of a Destroyer God!
With such a gap, even if he challenged Lord Champa, he would be killed in an instant.
Vados compared their combat powers and reached a conclusion in her mind.
"Kid, you want to challenge me?" The look in Champa's eyes as he regarded Mu Yang was no longer as fierce as before, though he still looked puzzled.
A challenge.
How many years had it been since he last heard that word?
He had courage, at least!
With just a glance, Champa knew Mu Yang's current strength.
Weak!
It was far too weak!
Even a casual move from him would be enough to kill this guy a hundred times over.
Champa couldn't understand it; since he had become a Candidate Destroyer, he should know the gap between a candidate and a formal one. Yet, he was acting just like a mortal from the lower realms, having no regard for his own life.
"Of course." Mu Yang laughed, "But I have one condition for challenging you."
"That is, you can only use 10 percent of your combat power."
Mu Yang estimated his current strength; if he transformed into a Super Saiyan, it should be roughly equivalent to 10 percent of the strength of Champa, the weakest God of Destruction.
By fighting against 10 percent of Champa's power, it should be possible to ignite a fierce fighting spirit and an invincible conviction.
Mu Yang would never let this opportunity slip by, no matter what.
"Kid, don't say I didn't warn you," Champa said bluntly, "Even if I only use 10 percent of my power, it's still over 50 times stronger than yours."
"Even so, do you still want to challenge me?"
"Of course."
The corners of Mu Yang's mouth curled up uncontrollably, his eyes burning with fighting spirit, "If I don't challenge the strong, what is the point of this strength of mine?"
"You have to remember, I am a Saiyan, a warrior race!" Mu Yang stared intently at Champa before him, his heart leaping with joy, "The genes of battle flow through my blood."
"Fine then." Champa's gaze suddenly turned fierce, his body wreathed in purple ki, his aura surging and majestic, "Since you want a beating, I'll grant your wish."
Feeling this aura, Mu Yang felt like a small sailboat caught in a storm at sea, liable to be capsized at any moment.
However...
Call it foolish, call it overestimating his own abilities.
He wanted to see for himself just how vast the gap between him and a God of Destruction truly was.
This was a rare opportunity!
Mu Yang's body also began to be wreathed in purple ki, yet it remained firmly suppressed beneath the aura of Champa.
Compared to a moment ago, there was no real improvement.
The gap in strength between Mu Yang and Champa was simply too immense!
Whis and Vados stood behind Mu Yang and Champa, respectively.
Both angels tapped their staffs against the floor simultaneously, forming a protective barrier around them to prevent this massive power from further damaging the surroundings.
"Kid, how about we go outside to fight?" Champa didn't want to fight here and took the initiative to suggest it.
Champa didn't want to fight inside his own castle; if his furniture were annihilated, the loss would be his own, which wouldn't be worth it at all.
Hmph.
Even if he was going to teach this arrogant kid a lesson.
He would do it in the open space outside.
He would let him properly experience the terror of a God of Destruction!
Champa dispersed the purple ki from his body and walked out the door.
The tense, hair-trigger atmosphere vanished.
Seeing this, Mu Yang also dispersed his aura and followed him out.
Vados and Whis exchanged glances and sighed in unison.
Gods of Destruction really are a bunch of competitive fellows.
Every single one of them is like this.
Vados and Whis also left the castle.
Open ground.
Vados and Whis stood together, acting as referees.
Champa and Mu Yang both stood on the grassy field, Champa with his arms crossed, looking dismissive, while Mu Yang's eyes were filled with fighting spirit, his fists clenched in excitement.
"Lord Champa cannot use more than 10 percent of his combat power. The two shall spar, but must not take the other's life. Any objections?" Vados announced the rules of the match.
"No objections."
The two spoke in unison.
"Then, begin." Vados narrowed her eyes as she looked at the two.
