At the Briefs' home, in the living room.
"Ah! I'm back to full health! Thanks for the meal!"
Mu Yang patted his now pleasantly full belly. It was the first time he'd ever felt so completely satisfied after a meal.
The food on Planet Vegeta had been decent, but it couldn't compare to Earth's cuisine!
Although this wasn't the Earth he knew, Mu Yang could still taste the familiar flavors of his previous life.
He still couldn't get his hands on the Chinese dishes he'd loved back then, but he was already more than satisfied with this!
"Mm! It really is delicious."
Whis praised the food as he slurped his noodles.
Briefs was a little embarrassed by their compliments. He scratched the back of his head, grinning.
"Is that so? I'm glad you two like it."
Mu Yang set down his plate, his expression shifting from relaxed to serious. "Dr. Briefs, I heard you invented something called a Hoi-Poi Capsule. Could I take a look?"
At that, Whis stopped slurping his noodles and glanced at Mu Yang out of the corner of his eye.
Briefs's tone turned serious.
"Mr. Mu Yang, the Hoi-Poi Capsule and its research are still in the testing and confidential stages. How did you hear about it?"
"I have my own sources."
Mu Yang said mysteriously.
Briefs didn't press him further. After all, it was perfectly normal for aliens to have abilities or technology he knew nothing about.
Take Jaco, whom his eldest daughter had brought home three years ago, for example. He possessed incredible powers.
Briefs let the matter drop.
"Mr. Mu Yang, I can give you a Hoi-Poi Capsule, along with the research data. In return, could you tell me about outer space?"
Briefs suddenly changed the subject and made his offer.
"Of course."
Mu Yang smiled and was just about to agree.
Suddenly, a childish voice rang out beside him!
"Big Brother Mu Yang, here!"
Mu Yang turned toward the voice and saw Bulma holding a capsule. The label read "No. 0," indicating it was a prototype.
Even he hadn't expected it. He'd been hoping to get his hands on a Hoi-Poi Capsule and see if it would trigger the Heaven-Defying Comprehension System. He'd even been willing to pay a price for it!
And now Bulma had brought one out.
Mu Yang didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"Big Brother Mu Yang, don't you want it?"
When Mu Yang didn't take it, Bulma looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"Bulma, don't fool around!"
There was a rare hint of anger in Dr. Briefs's expression.
That little rascal was throwing her own father under the bus!
So she'd gotten herself a little boyfriend and forgotten all about her dad, huh?
His request hadn't been unreasonable. He'd only wanted to discuss alien technology and see if he could gain some inspiration. Instead, his own daughter had ruined the whole thing.
Even Dr. Briefs, who normally doted on Bulma, was at a loss for words.
"Bleh!"
Bulma stuck out her tongue and made a face.
"Daddy's stingy. Big Brother Mu Yang doesn't look like a bad person. What's wrong with letting him see the Hoi-Poi Capsule?"
"You little..."
Dr. Briefs shook his head helplessly and gave Bulma an indulgent look before sighing.
"All right, I agree!"
"Yay! Daddy's the best!"
Bulma bounced up and down on the spot, her face beaming with joy.
Watching her, Mu Yang couldn't help feeling a little awkward. He hadn't expected young Bulma to be like this. She was pretty lively and adorable!
But when he thought about it, it made sense.
After all, Bulma had been a beautiful and vibrant young woman.
And now she was still just a little girl.
"Big Brother Mu Yang, here."
Bulma handed it over with a well-behaved look.
Mu Yang found her adorable. Smiling warmly, he gently patted her little head, then took the Hoi-Poi Capsule prototype from her hand.
Feeling the warmth of his hand, Bulma found it comfortable and closed her eyes slightly.
Mu Yang's hand continued to rub her head.
But his thoughts had already sunk into the system!
[You examined the Hoi-Poi Capsule. Your comprehension defied the heavens, and you automatically mastered the Space Shaping Method!]
Mu Yang closed his eyes and absorbed the information that had flooded into his mind. Then he opened them again.
The corner of his mouth lifted as a flash of white light flickered across the Hoi-Poi Capsule.
Aside from Whis, no one noticed Mu Yang's little move!
"What is this...?!"
Whis was astounded, but he kept his expression as calm as ever.
The Space Creation Method!
It was a method of creating space that only deities on the level of the Grand Minister could use. It was simply unbelievable.
Even his father, the Grand Minister, created space by brute force, relying on overwhelming power. But Mu Yang...
He hadn't used his strength to force space into existence. Instead, he'd used some unknown technique to create it—a divine skill that had never before existed in this world!
"All right, Dr. Briefs. Take a look. I've improved this Hoi-Poi Capsule using my own method."
Mu Yang handed the Hoi-Poi Capsule to Dr. Briefs.
Briefs took it and examined it for a while. His eyes flashed with disbelief.
"Mr. Mu Yang, may I test it?"
"Doctor, you're the owner."
"You don't need to ask me."
Mu Yang replied warmly and politely.
Briefs eagerly put the chair he'd just been sitting on into the Hoi-Poi Capsule. He didn't stop there; he also tried putting the television beside it inside.
"This is incredible!"
Briefs's eyes widened.
The Hoi-Poi Capsule he'd developed could only store one object. The capsule Mu Yang had improved could hold two, and Briefs could tell that this wasn't even its limit.
And all Mu Yang had done was touch it.
Dr. Briefs turned to Mu Yang, his gaze brimming with excitement.
If Mu Yang's ability could help him develop the Hoi-Poi Capsule, then who knew how many times faster his research would progress!
"Dr. Briefs, you can have this Hoi-Poi Capsule as a thank-you. Could you give me some rings?"
Mu Yang smiled faintly.
"Sure, absolutely!"
Dr. Briefs slapped his thigh excitedly and replied without hesitation.
Mu Yang had helped him so much, and all he wanted in return was a few rings. What was the harm in that?
Not just rings—even his daughter was something Briefs was half tempted to offer!
After all, when he thought about it, his daughter Bulma was around the same age as the young man before him. They'd make a good match.
"Then thank you."
Mu Yang thanked him politely.
"Haha, there's no need to be so polite, Mr. Mu Yang! You're our benefactor!"
Briefs felt rather embarrassed. He'd received such a valuable gift from Mu Yang, yet Mu Yang was the one thanking him.
Whis watched from the side, wondering what Mu Yang needed rings for.
