From the Saiyan Lei Chen of the Future

Baby surged directly out of Vegeta's body.

Just as Baby transformed into a streak of light and flew toward the sky, the voice of Son Goku rang out from behind him.

"10x Kamehameha!"

A golden Kamehameha wave slammed into Baby, sending him hurtling straight into the Sun Star.

"I refuse to accept this!"

The moment he entered the Sun Star, a miserable cry erupted from Baby's throat, eventually fading away until he was completely annihilated.

"Father!"

Adult Trunks descended from the sky, flying to Vegeta's side.

"Argh!"

After Baby was expelled from his body, Vegeta's reason slowly returned. Feeling the wounds all over his body, a pained expression crossed his face, and he couldn't help but let out a cry.

Trunks draped one of Vegeta's arms over his shoulder and slowly helped him up.

"Kakarot, I never expected you to be the one to kill Baby. If you hadn't, I, Vegeta, would never have let him off."

Vegeta looked at Son Goku and said with a smile.

Although Vegeta had been possessed by Baby, he still retained some memories of what Baby had done while using his body, so he knew that Baby had been defeated by Son Goku.

Son Goku didn't speak, merely nodding with a smile before turning to look at Lei Chen.

Lei Chen's Super Saiyan 4 form was similar in appearance to Son Goku's; his hair was a stiff, vibrant red, cascading down to his ankles with two long bangs draped over his shoulders.

His body was covered in red fur, and he wore red pants paired with black casual trousers.

Son Goku, by contrast, had black hair, though his body fur was also red.

"Are you a Saiyan from the future?"

Suddenly, Son Goku asked Lei Chen. During the Android saga, Future Trunks had arrived from the future, and since Lei Chen knew his name and how to rescue Vegeta, he guessed that Lei Chen might have traveled here from the future as well.

Lei Chen was stunned for a moment; it seemed his recent actions were indeed similar to those of Future Trunks, so it was only natural for Son Goku to be suspicious.

Upon hearing Son Goku's words, Vegeta began to recall the time over a decade ago when Future Trunks had arrived in the past via a time machine.

Vegeta also cast a suspicious gaze at Lei Chen, never imagining that Lei Chen was a Saiyan from another world, or perhaps a Saiyan who had simply never existed in this one.

Lei Chen shook his head and said, "Sorry, Kakarot, you've guessed wrong. I'm not from the future. If you really want to put it that way, I suppose I came here from ten years ago."

"What do you mean? You say you came here from ten years ago, but why didn't we see you ten years ago then?"

Vegeta asked, sounding somewhat skeptical.

Son Goten and the others also looked at Lei Chen with confusion. They didn't understand what he meant; if Lei Chen had come from ten years ago, they should have known him.

Yet, in this world, there was no such person as Lei Chen.

"Let me put it this way: for example, seventeen or eighteen years ago, when Future Trunks came here in a time machine, do you think his future world changed after he altered this past?"

Lei Chen asked Vegeta and the others.

"Ah, I understand. Even if the future is the future, it doesn't mean it's the future of our world. It's like two parallel worlds; even if they share the same starting point, they aren't the same world."

As the son of the technological genius Bulma, even if Trunks wasn't as brilliant as she was, he still understood certain scientific theories.

Trunks had once heard Son Gohan and his mother talk about how, shortly after he was born, his future self had visited this timeline.
