"Interesting?"
Watching Son Goku's actions, Soya couldn't help praising him.
"But no matter how hard you try, the outcome will be the same. I know that, and I think you know it even better than I do."
Though Soya greatly admired Son Goku's approach, he didn't agree with him.
"There's no limit to a Saiyan's potential!"
Son Goku stared at Soya with unwavering resolve, not the least bit shaken by his words.
"Since you've made up your mind, I hope you succeed. After all, you're a worthy opponent and someone deserving of respect."
Soya nodded and didn't argue.
"Ah!"
Son Goku continued to growl.
When he had fought Majin Buu, Son Goku had only just transformed into a Super Saiyan.
Even after defeating Majin Buu, he had only reached the middle stage of Super Saiyan 3.
He had yet to attain Super Saiyan 3's peak, its strongest state.
Though Son Goku had trained very hard after Majin Buu's defeat, the lack of opponents meant that training alone yielded very slow results.
Vegeta was no slouch, but he still lagged far behind Son Goku in strength.
So while this training benefited Vegeta, it didn't do much for Son Goku.
Time passed slowly.
No one knew how long it had been, but the sea for thousands of miles around where Son Goku, Soya, and Vegeta stood had become a chaotic wasteland.
Unless they were powerful, no one could get within thousands of miles of the area.
Soya closed his eyes to rest and didn't disturb Son Goku.
To be honest, he was also looking forward to seeing just how powerful Son Goku would be after breaking through his limits.
In the distance, a plane approached.
But as soon as it entered within a thousand miles, it exploded with a deafening boom.
The shock waves in the area had destroyed it.
"Damn it! What's going on?"
Bulma snapped.
"Ah!"
As his roars continued to echo, the golden light surrounding Son Goku grew more and more intense.
By the end, Son Goku had disappeared from sight, and all that remained was a golden ball of light.
This was what happened when Son Goku unleashed all his power.
Of course, that was how things were now.
Before, Son Goku definitely couldn't have done this.
"Kakarot!"
Vegeta stared at Son Goku in shock.
He never imagined that Son Goku could unleash such terrifying power.
This was beyond anything he could have imagined.
"Kakarot, I always thought I was right on your heels.
"But only now do I realize that, without me even noticing, you've left me far behind."
Vegeta spoke slowly, his bloodshot eyes fixed on Son Goku, who was enveloped in golden light.
He was bitterly frustrated.
He could still cling to a bit of wishful thinking when Soya crushed him, but what Son Goku had just achieved made reality almost impossible for him to accept.
"This is getting more and more interesting."
Soya watched the golden ball of light. Even he could feel a force within it that made his heart skip a beat.
Of course, that was only compared to his normal state.
Even so, it was already astonishing.
After all, his battle power in his normal state had already reached 100 billion.
The golden light slowly faded, and once it had vanished completely, a golden figure appeared before Soya.
"Son Goku!"
Seeing Son Goku in this state, Soya could tell that he was different from before.
"I can't believe I actually did it."
Son Goku spoke slowly.
As soon as he finished speaking, the golden light around his body swept inward in an instant, returning entirely to him.
Everything was just as it had been before, as if nothing had happened.
But the powerful, terrifying energy radiating from Son Goku now far surpassed what he had shown earlier.
"I didn't expect you to break through your limits at a time like this. It seems you still have plenty of untapped potential."
Soya looked at Son Goku and spoke.
Compared to before, the energy now bursting from Son Goku felt powerful even to Soya.
"Soya, I've earned the right to make you transform into a Super Saiyan now, haven't I?"
Son Goku looked at Soya, his eyes shining.
"You have."
Soya nodded without denying it.
There was no point denying it.
That was simply the truth.
There was no need for him to keep pretending otherwise.
Son Goku really was much stronger now than he had been moments ago.
Soya could vaguely feel a terrifying pressure.
It was coming from Son Goku.
"Since you admit it, then transform! Let me see just how powerful your Super Saiyan form is!"
Son Goku's gaze burned with excitement. He was practically trembling with anticipation.
All his efforts had been for the sake of making Soya transform into a Super Saiyan.
But despite Son Goku's words, Soya clearly had no intention of transforming right away.
"You've earned the right, but I never said I'd transform into a Super Saiyan right now, did I?"
Soya shrugged and replied helplessly.
"Then I'll fight you until you transform!"
"Whoosh!"
Son Goku was incredibly fast now. Before his words had even finished, he had already charged in front of Soya.
He moved so quickly that even Soya's pupils contracted when he saw him, shock flashing in his eyes.
"So fast!"
Soya murmured, clearly not expecting Son Goku to reach such a speed after breaking through his limits.
But despite his surprise, Soya's right hand rose into a fist without delay.
He threw a hard punch at Son Goku.
"Bang!"
Their fists collided in an instant.
The impact sent a tremor through both Soya and Son Goku.
Then they both staggered backward.
Son Goku's fist went numb from the blow, but he didn't care. The excitement on his face only grew more intense.
Soya's fist had gone numb too, but he was the one who looked surprised.
They both continued to retreat.
This time, however, Son Goku took three steps back.
Soya, on the other hand, was forced back a full seven steps!
