"Heh heh, looks like you're not all that impressive after all."
With that punch, Son Goku had firmly gained the upper hand, and he couldn't help feeling pleased with himself.
"Whoosh!"
Without pausing for a moment, Son Goku charged forward again, rushing toward Soya at incredible speed. He wanted to keep attacking and put Soya under pressure.
If he could put Soya under enough pressure, then surely he'd transform into a Super Saiyan, right?
Son Goku was quite clever in battle because he was incredibly focused when fighting.
Seeing Son Goku charge at him, Soya's eyes flashed. "Your strength has improved a lot. In my normal state, I'm no match for you. But even though you're strong now, you're still not strong enough to defeat me with ease!
"You're only at around 120 billion in battle power!"
Soya knew that very well.
Of course, he also wanted to find out what it felt like to fight someone with a higher battle power than his own.
With a low growl, Son Goku shot forward at incredible speed, heading straight for Son Goku.
Both of them were incredibly fast. In an instant, they were right on top of each other.
They clenched their fists and, with remarkable coordination, each threw a fierce punch at the other.
"Bang!"
A thunderous boom rang out, and a shock wave spread wildly in every direction from the point where their fists collided.
Their clash was incredibly fierce.
Before, the fight had been completely one-sided. Now, they were evenly matched.
"Bang!"
"Bang, bang!"
"Bang, bang, bang!"
After that first punch, Son Goku and Soya both vanished, then reappeared and collided again.
Neither held back at all. They unleashed everything they had, maximizing both their speed and strength.
Time passed. In just a few short seconds, Soya and Son Goku had already fought dozens of times.
Each clash produced a thunderous boom, stirring the air around them into greater turmoil.
"Bang!"
After colliding once more, Soya and Son Goku separated.
The two of them wore nearly identical expressions, both visibly excited.
"Haha, I didn't expect you to be able to fight me like this in your normal state. You've really exceeded my expectations!
"Looks like I'll have to push myself harder if I want to get you to transform into a Super Saiyan!"
Son Goku looked at Soya with complete seriousness.
"Honestly, I can hardly wait!"
As he spoke, Son Goku brought his hands together and held them at his right side.
"Ka—"
Energy began gathering furiously between Son Goku's palms.
"Me—"
As he spoke, the energy within Son Goku suddenly erupted.
"Kamehameha!"
Soya's gaze sharpened as he looked closely at Son Goku.
He knew exactly what Son Goku was about to do.
This was the Turtle School's signature technique.
Its power was immense.
As Soya watched Son Goku perform the Kamehameha, he didn't hesitate for even a moment. He immediately struck the exact same pose as Son Goku.
"Ka—"
"Me—"
"Ha—"
"Me—"
Soya spoke one syllable at a time. A glowing sphere appeared between his hands, radiating terrifying power.
The corners of his mouth lifted slightly.
I can use the same technique!
Son Goku had a glowing sphere between his hands too, and he stared at Soya with a fierce gaze.
"I didn't expect you to know the Kamehameha too. That really surprises me."
Son Goku looked at Soya as he spoke.
"Ha!!!"
As his words fell, Son Goku finally shouted the last syllable.
The moment it left his mouth, he thrust both hands forward.
"Boom!"
A massive energy wave shot from Son Goku's hands, rushing toward Soya at incredible speed and with tremendous force.
"Ha!!!"
Soya shouted the same syllable.
He moved exactly like Son Goku, even releasing his attack at the same moment.
The instant he finished speaking, the Kamehameha surged from his hands, hurtling straight toward Son Goku's attack.
The two Kamehameha waves rapidly closed in on each other. Each one was terrifyingly powerful, strong enough to destroy everything.
Vegeta watched intently. He knew he couldn't take part in this kind of battle; all he could do was watch.
"Boom!"
In an instant, the two Kamehameha waves collided.
A thunderous boom rang out, and as a storm swept through the area, the two energy waves immediately unleashed tremendous power.
That power was simply too terrifying. Even just the collision was almost beyond imagination.
The two forces clashed for about five seconds. At last, Son Goku's Kamehameha erupted with even greater power.
"Break through!"
With a furious shout, Son Goku poured even more of his strength into the Kamehameha.
With that power added—and since Son Goku was already stronger than Soya—Soya's Kamehameha was immediately overwhelmed and shattered by Son Goku's.
"Ha!"
Son Goku shouted. Once Soya's Kamehameha had collapsed, Son Goku's attack engulfed him.
Tremendous power radiated from the blast, and Soya's face turned slightly pale.
The power of Son Goku's attack had truly exceeded his expectations.
"I didn't expect you to push me this far. You've really surprised me.
"Weren't you hoping to see my Super Saiyan form? Since you want to see it, and you've worked so hard for so long, I'll grant your wish."
Soya spoke slowly.
He raised his right hand and waved it. A gust of wind immediately appeared, scattering the remaining force of the Kamehameha. Then he stood tall, looked calmly at Son Goku, and spoke.
He had only released a little of his power, yet he had effortlessly dispersed Son Goku's Kamehameha.
Son Goku was surprised, but even more than that, he was excited.
"Have you finally decided to transform?"
Excitement showed in Son Goku's eyes. He knew that once Soya transformed into a Super Saiyan, he would have no chance of winning.
Even so, his overwhelming curiosity made him want to see just how powerful Soya would be as a Super Saiyan.
Only then could he ignite an even greater fighting spirit!
"You're the first person to see me transform. I hope you won't regret it!"
