Lord Beerus, I Heard You're Strong?

Whis looked ahead.

"They're here!"

As soon as Whis finished speaking, two figures appeared before them; the arrivals were none other than Vegeta and Son Goku.

"Kakarot, show some respect to Lord Beerus!"

Vegeta immediately spoke to Son Goku.

"So you are the Son Goku who defeated Frieza?"

Beerus looked at Son Goku, his face devoid of any expression.

To him, Frieza was nothing more than trash.

"It was just luck, you're too kind, Lord Beerus."

Son Goku smiled; although he said that, he did not deny it.

"Whether it was luck or not, being able to defeat Frieza shows you have some capability."

"But you didn't look like this when you defeated Frieza."

"You must be able to transform, right!"

Beerus observed Son Goku for a long time before speaking, voicing his conjecture.

"Yes, when I defeated Frieza, I transformed into the legendary Super Saiyan of the Saiyan race."

Son Goku did not deliberately hide this.

Although he did not know how Beerus knew about it, since he was a god, he surely had special ways of knowing.

Furthermore, there was nothing worth worrying about regarding such a matter.

Now, almost everyone in the universe who knew of his existence knew he could transform.

"Show me the transformation."

Beerus spoke, his tone that of a superior speaking to an inferior, leaving no room for doubt.

"Alright!"

Son Goku did not hesitate, nor did he mind Beerus's tone.

"Boom!"

Clenching his fists, a powerful aura immediately erupted from Son Goku's body.

A wave of energy rippled through the surroundings, but it was casually swatted away by Beerus.

Golden light emerged in an instant, and at that moment, Son Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan.

"So this is a Super Saiyan?"

"Looking at it this way, Frieza really was no match for you."

Beerus spoke slowly.

Although Son Goku's strength after transforming was still insignificant to Beerus, regardless, after transforming, defeating someone like Frieza could be done with ease.

"Son Goku, do you know about the Super Saiyan God?"

Beerus looked at Son Goku, asking the purpose of his visit.

"Super Saiyan God?"

Son Goku glanced at Vegeta and shook his head, mirroring Vegeta's reaction.

"Lord Beerus, I have never heard of a Super Saiyan God."

Son Goku spoke truthfully.

"You don't know either."

Beerus frowned; this information was somewhat unexpected.

"Lord Beerus, that was just a dream. How could anyone in this world possibly be a match for you?"

Whis spoke with some dissatisfaction; having traveled so far for nothing, he naturally felt a bit of resentment.

"What? By the look of you, it seems you're unhappy about this wasted trip?"

Beerus frowned and glanced at Whis beside him.

"Fine, since there is no news of a Super Saiyan God, let's head back."

Beerus naturally lost interest, and seeing Son Goku and the others, he even had the thought of destroying the Earth after realizing he had wasted over twenty minutes for nothing.

"Wait a minute!"

Hearing that Beerus was about to leave, Son Goku spoke up immediately.

"Kakarot, what do you think you're doing?!"

Vegeta had just breathed a sigh of relief because Beerus was leaving; with Beerus gone, Earth would have escaped a catastrophe.

However, Son Goku's words caused Vegeta's heart, which had just begun to relax, to tighten once again.

"What do you want?"

Beerus glanced at Son Goku.

"Lord Beerus, I've heard that you are very powerful."

Ignoring Vegeta's warnings entirely, Son Goku's eyes shone with anticipation.

As soon as these words left his mouth, Vegeta's expression shifted. It wasn't just him; even the Old Supreme Kai and Supreme Kai Shin, who were watching every move on Earth from far away, felt a jolt in their hearts upon hearing Son Goku's words.

"This..."

"What on earth is this guy trying to do!"

In the Supreme Kai World, the Old Supreme Kai was so infuriated he was dancing about, even feeling the urge to rush over immediately and slap Son Goku to death.

"Mr. Goku!"

Supreme Kai Shin also had a face full of black lines. Through the Old Supreme Kai's introduction, he had already clearly understood exactly what kind of person Lord Beerus was.

It would have been fine if they had just let Lord Beerus leave, but because of Son Goku's single sentence, some variables might now arise.

"Lord Beerus, I've heard that your strength is immense. I wonder if you could, just a little, spar with me?"

Sure enough, not failing to live up to everyone's "expectations," Son Goku really didn't learn his lesson and blurted out those words.

"You idiot, Kakarot!"

Vegeta was the first to dash out, instantly arriving in front of Son Goku and shielding him behind his back. He pressed his palms together and bowed his head so low it was almost touching the ground.

"Lord Beerus, this guy Kakarot bumped his head when he was a child, which causes him to be a bit confused at times. I hope you can be the bigger person and overlook his insolence."

Vegeta spoke in a low, humble voice, clearly very nervous.

However, Beerus completely filtered out Vegeta's words.

"You want to witness my strength?"

Beerus looked at Son Goku, and after a moment, he suddenly began to laugh.

"Hahaha!"

Beerus laughed heartily; this was simply the funniest joke he had heard since waking up.

"Lord Beerus, I wonder if you would agree?"

Son Goku looked on anxiously, but his tone was filled with anticipation. He had only heard that the God of Destruction Beerus was very strong, but he had never truly witnessed it himself. Moreover, whenever he encountered a strong opponent, Son Goku would feel truly unwilling if he didn't go up and test his skills against them. It was just like when he wanted to spar with Soya earlier. Son Goku was simply that kind of person; he would never let any opportunity slip by.

"I have no interest!"

After finishing his laugh, Beerus's face instantly turned cold again, his voice icy.

Upon hearing this, Vegeta breathed a sigh of relief once more. Thankfully, Lord Beerus hadn't become completely enraged by Son Goku's words. Although his expression had grown much colder, it was still within the realm of salvageable.

"Lord Beerus..."

Vegeta looked at Beerus's cold face with a worried expression, and just as he was about to pull Son Goku away to apologize to Beerus, he was interrupted by Son Goku's voice.

"Lord Beerus, you aren't afraid, are you?"

Son Goku never knew where the bottom line was, nor did he know how to take a hint; instead, he continued to use his words to pressure and provoke Beerus's limits.
