A massive fist shadow lunged toward Beerus.
"How many times do you intend to play with the same move?"
Ninety-nine fist shadows instantly appeared all around Beerus.
Although these fist shadows were not as massive as the previous one and existed in a state between half-solid and half-ethereal, they circled around Beerus, completely enclosing him within.
In other words, under this version of the God-Slaying Fist, regardless of whether Beerus destroyed them or ignored them, he was already trapped within the encirclement of the God-Slaying Fist.
This was the true brilliance of the God-Slaying Fist!
"Don't forget, this move of mine is called the God-Slaying Fist. If it were as ordinary as it looks, do you really think I would bother using it?" Soya said, full of confidence.
"Collapse!"
Soya spat out the single word.
The moment the word fell, the ninety-nine fist shadows that had surrounded Beerus began to move in an instant, striking Beerus with incredible speed.
"Bang!"
"Bang, bang!"
"Bang, bang, bang!"
Violent roars echoed one after another.
Thick smoke rose, enveloping Beerus so that it was impossible to see what was happening inside; only the continuous, thunderous booming remained.
Ninety-nine fist shadows—though it sounded like a great many—landed in only a brief moment.
As the smoke slowly dissipated, before it had even fully cleared, a cold voice emerged from within.
"God-Slaying Fist, a fine God-Slaying Fist indeed. Such power is truly extraordinary, but just like the Heaven Origin Cannon from before, even for you, you can only use it once at your current level of strength, can't you?" Beerus's voice drifted out.
The smoke finally cleared to reveal Beerus looking slightly disheveled; he was no longer standing as straight as before.
However, the look in his eyes as he gazed at Soya revealed unprecedented excitement.
"Regardless, at the very least, this strike had some effect on you!" Soya said with a smile. He had never expected to defeat Beerus with a single blow.
At the very least, he was satisfied with the power of this strike for now.
"Of course it had an effect."
Beerus flashed, and as he raised his right hand, a purple orb of light instantly materialized.
"Now, it should be my turn to strike."
With a slight flick of his finger, the orb of light shot toward Soya at high speed.
"Although I have consumed quite a bit of my power, an attack of this level isn't enough to defeat me!" Soya's eyes flashed. The moment the purple orb arrived, he lunged forward, clenched his right fist, and smashed it fiercely into the orb.
"Boom!"
As a violent roar erupted, the purple orb shattered under Soya's punch.
The purple energy dissipated into the cosmos.
"Whoosh!"
Soya's figure did not pause for a second; he appeared directly in front of Beerus, unleashing a flurry of attacks at blinding speed, refusing to give Beerus any opening.
Because Soya dared not give him one.
Just as Beerus had said, his trump card was spent. With no other means at his disposal, he had to resort to this tactic.
Facing Soya's relentless, brawling style, Beerus felt no disgust; instead, a smile played on his lips.
"Haha, you've actually let me experience the feeling of when I was still weak!" Beerus said with a laugh while engaging in the rapid-fire battle with Soya.
Both of them were moving at incredible speeds, and there was a trend of them continuing to accelerate.
Even Son Goku and Vegeta found it difficult to track the movements of Beerus and Soya.
Fortunately, with Whis present, his slow-motion projection allowed Son Goku and Vegeta to see things more clearly.
"So strong. A battle like this is simply beyond our imagination."
Excitement gleamed in Son Goku's eyes.
"Super Saiyan 4 and Super Saiyan God—I think I finally have a clear idea of these two different paths of cultivation."
Vegeta murmured to himself. Before this, he hadn't been sure which path he should take, but now, he had truly made up his mind.
Like him, Son Goku was also prepared, knowing exactly which direction he needed to focus his training.
"Soya's strength is indeed formidable. Even as fellow Saiyans, there is still a massive gap between the power of you two, Son Goku and Vegeta, and his."
Whis glanced at Soya before speaking to Son Goku and Vegeta beside him.
"Adadada!"
Soya unleashed a flurry of strikes, never once pausing.
With every single blow, Soya poured out his full power.
Beerus's face also displayed unprecedented excitement. Despite the still-significant gap in their strength, this battle against Soya allowed him to experience that long-lost feeling of a truly exhilarating fight under the pressure of his opponent.
It had been a very, very long time since Beerus had felt this way.
Recalling this sensation now, the excitement was truly beyond words.
"Bang!"
Following another collision, both Soya and Beerus retreated several steps, their faces unable to hide their thrill.
"Soya, your strength has earned my recognition. Now, I will let you witness the strongest strike I can muster at thirty percent power. I hope you can withstand it."
Beerus held Soya in high regard, and he couldn't help but speak these words.
"I will do my best!"
Soya nodded.
"Ah!"
Beerus let out a roar, his figure flashing and appearing before Soya in an instant.
"So fast!"
Soya felt his vision blur; he couldn't even see the movement clearly.
"Bang!"
Beerus's fist arrived, slamming directly into Soya's body.
"Argh!"
Even Soya couldn't help but shudder under the force of that punch, letting out a pained cry as he spat out a mouthful of blood.
"Boom!"
Soya's body was sent crashing heavily into the distance.
At the same time, his aura plummeted rapidly, and he was unable to maintain his Super Saiyan 4 state, reverting to his base form.
The red markings around his eyes gradually faded away.
His hair, which had been slightly spiked, fell flat.
"Is my power only at this level?"
The intense pain radiating through his body made Soya frown involuntarily.
Though he didn't want to admit it, he knew that his battle against Beerus had come to a definitive end.
He had lost, and he had lost in a truly pathetic manner.
It was the kind of defeat that came only after one had been toyed with and played to one's heart's content.
