"Then let's get started!"
Son Goku said in a grim tone. He seemed genuinely angry.
Then his eyes changed. A golden aura erupted around him, and his hair instantly turned golden.
His powerful energy burst forth, shaking the entire island.
When Dr. Gero saw Goku transform, a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes, but it vanished in an instant.
He simply opened his mouth and said, "I didn't expect you to become this powerful, but it doesn't matter. Even if you've surpassed our estimates, it's still no problem."
"Android 19, go test him first," Dr. Gero said gravely.
The chubby white figure beside him stepped forward at the sound of his voice.
Son Goku stared expressionlessly at the opponent before him, then said to the others, "Don't interfere. I can take them on by myself!"
The others slowly nodded.
They had absolute confidence in Son Goku now that he had transformed.
Li Lin watched, worry showing in his eyes. If nothing unexpected happened, Goku was in for a tough fight.
As soon as Son Goku finished speaking, the golden flames around him flared.
He rushed forward with a burst of speed. Just before reaching Android 19, he vanished and reappeared behind him.
Android 19 reacted instantly, and the two immediately began trading blows.
"Thud! Thud! Thud!" They collided again and again, each impact ringing out loudly.
After a few exchanges, the Android was on the defensive, completely suppressed by Goku.
Goku suddenly vanished again, reappearing behind him once more.
This time, Android 19 didn't react in time. Goku drove an elbow into him, sending him flying.
He slammed straight into a small mountain behind him.
"Rumble!"
The mountain collapsed, and the falling rocks buried his body.
"Great work, Goku! Finish him off in one go!"
Tien Shinhan shouted from the sidelines.
Goku had the upper hand. Just a few more exchanges, and he could take down the Android.
Piccolo remained silent. He walked over to Li Lin and asked, "Is something wrong with Goku? He's in control right now, but several of his moves are clearly off. With his combat experience, he shouldn't be fighting like this."
Li Lin glanced at Piccolo and slowly nodded. "You're right. Goku's definitely acting strange today."
"If I'm not mistaken, it must be that heart disease of his..."
"What?" Piccolo furrowed his brow, then said with annoyance, "That idiot—don't tell me he forgot to take his medicine?"
"That's probably it," Li Lin replied calmly.
He had mentioned this matter to Goku before. He hadn't expected the man to actually go without taking his medicine.
It looked like this battle would follow the original story after all.
On the battlefield.
Android 19 climbed out from beneath the rubble.
His body slowly rose into the air, then he suddenly shot forward and slammed into Goku.
Son Goku blocked him with one hand, then kicked him in the face.
Android 19 was sent flying upward. Before he could recover, Son Goku flew after him and circled around behind him.
Android 19 sensed him. Once he steadied himself, he began attacking.
Son Goku swayed from side to side in the air, dodging the blows.
As he evaded, Goku seized an opening and uppercut Android 19 in the chin.
Then he drove a knee into his abdomen.
Next, he unleashed a full combination of punches. For a moment, Android 19 could do nothing to fight back.
"Goku's still Goku. The Androids don't stand a chance!"
Tien Shinhan watched the one-sided fight and couldn't help exclaiming.
But Piccolo's expression grew darker and darker. He had noticed that Son Goku's energy was becoming erratic, and sweat was dripping from his forehead.
"Thud! Thud! Thud!"
The battle continued in the sky. Calling it a fight was generous—it was more like a one-sided beating.
Dr. Gero was stunned by what he saw.
He hadn't expected Son Goku to be so powerful. At this rate, Android 19 would be reduced to a heap of scrap metal.
Anxiety began to grip him. He realized the two of them might not be able to defeat Son Goku after all. He had underestimated him.
Just then, Yamcha, Krillin, and Gohan arrived.
Gohan hadn't gone with the others earlier. He had gone to the sea to look for Yajirobe instead.
"Let's all jump in and take them down together!"
Seeing his father fighting, Son Gohan couldn't wait to rush over and help.
Tien Shinhan turned and smiled confidently. "It's fine. Goku should be able to handle this. Look—he's beating the stuffing out of that guy."
Gohan watched the battle in the sky, but he didn't agree.
For some reason, he felt that something was wrong with his father today.
"No, Dad isn't in good shape today. After turning into a Super Saiyan, he should be much stronger than this."
Gohan shared his thoughts.
Son Goku's current fighting power wasn't even a third of what it usually was.
After hearing him say that, the others realized he might be right.
When Goku had fought Li Lin before, the battle had been earth-shattering.
After so long training hard, he should have become even stronger.
Yet the power he was showing now was far weaker than when he had fought Li Lin.
As everyone wondered what was going on, Goku landed a heavy blow in the sky, knocking Android 19 to the ground.
"Boom!"
Dust billowed across the ground.
Seeing this, the others felt more at ease. They thought Goku had only been playing around and hadn't used his full strength from the start.
The dust slowly cleared, and Android 19 got to his feet, looking up into the sky.
Son Goku was panting heavily. A fatigue unlike anything he had felt before was weighing on him.
This is bad. I have to finish him quickly!
Goku knew exactly what was happening to his body. A sharp pain kept stabbing through his heart.
If he didn't end the fight soon, he wouldn't be able to hold on.
With that thought, he held his breath and gathered energy in his hands. A bright white light appeared.
"Haa!"
He fired a Kamehameha straight at Android 19.
Dr. Gero and Android 19 were overjoyed at the sight.
Android 19 waved his right hand and caught the Ki Blast with one hand.
The powerful Kamehameha poured endlessly into his right hand, where it was absorbed.
"It was absorbed?"
Everyone stared at the scene in disbelief.
They also noticed that Son Goku's face was covered in exhaustion. He seemed to have reached his limit!
