The Pursuit Continues

After absorbing a Kamehameha, Android 19 was once again brimming with energy.

He instantly flashed forward, flying right in front of Goku.

Without a word, he swung a hammering blow down onto Goku's head, knocking him straight out of the air.

Son Goku endured the pain coursing through his body and forced himself to steady his flight, keeping himself from crashing to the ground.

He turned around, preparing to counterattack with another Kamehameha.

"Idiot! Don't use a Ki Blast. He'll absorb it."

Piccolo was extremely tense. He shouted angrily at the top of his lungs.

Hearing Piccolo's warning, Son Goku hurriedly pulled back his attack.

"Haah... haah... haah!"

He was gasping for breath, one hand clutching his chest, in terrible discomfort.

Android 19 clearly had no intention of passing up the perfect chance to press his advantage.

He darted and weaved, his hands blurring as he unleashed a continuous barrage of blows against Goku.

"Ah!"

Goku cried out repeatedly as he was beaten. He had no chance to fight back.

"Thud!"

Android 19 landed a punch and knocked him over.

Goku's body was now so weak that he couldn't get back up from the ground.

His golden aura and golden hair vanished, and he returned to his normal form.

Android 19 rushed forward and sat down on top of Goku.

He grabbed Goku by the throat with one hand and began absorbing his energy.

"Ah!" Li Lin sighed helplessly and murmured, "Looks like it's my turn to step in!"

Seeing this, the others hurriedly prepared to go to Goku's aid.

Dr. Gero saw them and flew up from the ground, blocking their path in the sky.

"Heh heh. If you want to save Son Goku, you'll have to defeat me first!"

Dr. Gero let out a sinister laugh.

"Hmph! Is that so?"

Suddenly, a voice came from behind him.

Dr. Gero whipped around. Li Lin's figure came into view, leaving him horrified and incredulous. "H-How could you be so fast?!"

Li Lin didn't answer. He had no desire to respond to that question.

If he wanted to kill Dr. Gero, he could finish him off in an instant right now.

But Li Lin didn't do that, because if he killed Dr. Gero, Android 18 might never come into existence.

After all, they didn't know where the Androids were hidden!

Li Lin flashed over to Android 19.

Android 19 had no idea that Li Lin had appeared behind him.

His lips curled into a smile as he happily absorbed Goku's energy.

"Hey, that's enough. You can't use all that energy anyway!"

Li Lin's calm voice reached his ears.

Android 19 whipped around, trying to attack.

But Li Lin gave him no chance. He simply pressed one hand against Android 19's head.

With a casual lift, he hoisted Android 19's body into the air.

Android 19 was terrified. A flash of light flickered in his eyes, and a laser struck Li Lin.

"Boom!"

But when the smoke cleared, the attack had done nothing.

Li Lin slowly raised his hand, a white light flickering in his palm.

"Bang!"

A Ki Blast struck Android 19's fat body.

In an instant, his body disappeared, leaving only his head, which Li Lin held in his hand.

Li Lin glanced at Android 19, who was still conscious, and tossed him aside without a care.

"Gulp." Dr. Gero swallowed, cold sweat beginning to break out all over him.

He never expected this young man to be so powerful.

Not only did he know their secrets, he had also killed Android 19 with a casual strike.

The sudden turn of events had caught him completely off guard, leaving him at a loss.

"Krillin!"

Li Lin shouted loudly.

Hearing him, Krillin warily glanced at Dr. Gero.

Seeing that Dr. Gero had completely frozen up, Krillin went around him and flew straight to Li Lin.

"What do we do? What now? Do we really have to release the two of them?"

Dr. Gero was now wrestling with the decision.

Krillin had reached Li Lin's side. He looked at Goku with worry in his eyes.

"Krillin, Goku's barely hanging on. Take him home and get him his medicine, quickly!"

Li Lin's expression was grave as he gave his instructions in a low voice.

Looking at Goku, who was on the verge of death, Krillin didn't hesitate.

There was no point staying here when he couldn't help. Saving Goku had to come first.

"All right. Take care of yourselves!"

Krillin hoisted Goku onto his back, accelerated into the sky, and flew toward Goku's home.

Li Lin nodded faintly as he watched Krillin carry Goku away.

He had his own reasons for doing this. Once Krillin left, what happened next would have nothing to do with him.

Seeing Son Goku leave, Dr. Gero didn't hesitate any longer.

"Whoosh!"

He flashed away, disappearing right in front of everyone and flying rapidly toward the horizon.

"Damn it! Don't let him get away!"

Piccolo snapped back to his senses and cursed.

The others heard him and prepared to give chase.

But before they could move, a figure suddenly landed beside them.

It was Vegeta. He could now transform into a Super Saiyan.

He had come here to destroy the Androids.

"Where are the Androids? Where are they? Come out and die!"

The others watched Vegeta's confident attitude, unsure what to say.

Suddenly, he spotted Li Lin not far away and charged over.

"I can transform into a Super Saiyan now. Come on, fight me again!"

Vegeta spoke with absolute confidence.

He wanted to wipe away his humiliation. Even if he couldn't beat Li Lin, he wouldn't let himself get beaten like before, hanging helplessly in the air.

Li Lin rolled his eyes at him and said calmly, "If you want to fight me, that's fine. I'm always up for it."

"But right now, our priority is to defeat the Androids!"

"What about the Androids? Leave them to me!" Vegeta was now brimming with confidence and eager to find someone to fight!

Li Lin pointed at the head nearby. "I've already dealt with this one. The other one got away!"

As he spoke, he pointed in the direction it had gone.

Seeing that Li Lin had already taken one of them out, Vegeta was extremely dissatisfied.

He declared boldly, "Then I'll take care of the one who got away!"

With that, he powered up and chased after him toward the horizon.

Li Lin shook his head helplessly. Piccolo, Gohan, and the others came over to join him.

Li Lin glanced at Gohan standing beside Piccolo, and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly.

Piccolo's really Gohan's dad in all but name. Goku's barely hanging on, and Gohan's still sticking by his daddy.

Piccolo walked over to Li Lin and asked, "What do we do now?"

Without even realizing it, they had started looking to Li Lin as their leader.

Li Lin smiled faintly. "Let's catch up and finish them off in one fell swoop!"
