On a vast Flying Nimbus.
Mo Yuan sat beside Lazuli like a child who'd done something wrong, grinning sheepishly.
Lazuli held up a small hand mirror and checked her reflection.
"Sorry, sis. It was my first time too. I didn't have any experience..."
Mo Yuan pleaded in a low voice.
"Hmph (.-`ω´-)"
Lazuli gave an imperious little snort and said crossly, "It's not like I wasn't a beginner too! Does that mean you can be so rough just because it was your first time?"
Her fingers gently brushed the swollen spot.
"You kissed my lips so hard they're swollen! How am I supposed to face anyone now?"
(If your mind went somewhere else, go stand in the corner and think about what you've done.)
"Heh heh~"
Knowing he'd done something wrong, Mo Yuan didn't dare say a word.
Suddenly, Mo Yuan remembered that he knew a healing technique. That ought to help.
So he edged closer to Lazuli little by little.
"Big sis~"
Mo Yuan quietly slipped his big hand around Lazuli's slender waist and drew her into his arms.
"What are you doing? Can't you see I'm still mad at you?!"
Lazuli pouted and fumed.
But she didn't struggle in Mo Yuan's arms.
Mo Yuan tried to appease her. "I'm just trying to make up for what I did!"
Then Mo Yuan gently pressed his fingers against Lazuli's swollen lips.
Lazuli immediately felt a faint coolness coming from Mo Yuan's fingertips.
The burning, swollen feeling in her lips gradually faded.
Lazuli touched her lips in amazement.
They'd completely healed. There wasn't the slightest trace of swelling.
"To keep this from happening again, we'll have to practice more."
Suddenly, Mo Yuan's sly voice sounded by Lazuli's ear.
Then she saw Mo Yuan's face slowly grow larger in her eyes.
"W-wait a sec... Mmm~~~"
This time, Mo Yuan wasn't as impatient as he'd been before.
Instead, he savored her like a fine wine, taking small sips and relishing every taste.
Lazuli gradually lost herself in it too, responding passionately.
Evening.
Mo Yuan and Lazuli returned to the Lookout on a Flying Nimbus.
When Mr. Popo saw them riding a Flying Nimbus, his face lit up with joy.
The Flying Nimbus couldn't lie, so they really weren't evil people.
"Huh!? What's that?" Lapis stared at the Flying Nimbus, his eyes shining.
What boy could refuse the chance to soar through the skies?
"That's a Flying Nimbus. There's a whole bunch of them over there. If you want one, go get it yourself." Mo Yuan pointed Lapis in the right direction.
As for the Flying Nimbus beneath him, he planned to use it as a mattress.
He couldn't give it to anyone else.
The Flying Nimbus was even more comfortable to sleep on than the custom mattress he'd paid two million for in his previous life.
And he could change the Flying Nimbus's shape however he wanted.
It was simply the ultimate natural mattress.
When Lapis heard there were lots more over there, he hurried off without a second thought.
A while later, he came flying back on a Flying Nimbus, looking thrilled.
Seeing Lapis sitting on a Flying Nimbus, Mr. Popo smiled even more broadly—he even showed a tooth!
That Mr. Popo sure knew how to charm them!
The next day.
After lunch, Mo Yuan and Lapis sparred on the Lookout.
They didn't use ki; they were simply honing their fighting skills.
Mr. Popo watched from the side and couldn't help shaking his head.
Although Mr. Popo was nowhere near their level in terms of battle power,
when it came to fighting skills and combat awareness, the two of them combined wouldn't hold a candle to him.
Mo Yuan had the cellular memories of Son Goku and the others.
But because he relied too much on the Mind's Eye, he couldn't make perfect use of those memories.
That was because those memories weren't something he could learn just by watching or knowing about them.
They came from muscle memory and combat instincts forged through countless battles.
As for Lapis, there was even less to say. He simply relied on his endless stamina and incredibly fast ki recovery to bully people.
It wasn't that he had absolutely no fighting skill; it was more like he had none at all.
After sparring for a while, Mo Yuan stopped.
They were about evenly matched, and neither had much technique. Continuing wouldn't help them improve much.
Suddenly, Mo Yuan caught sight of a dark figure out of the corner of his eye.
Mr. Popo!
Right! How could he have forgotten about Mr. Popo?
"What's wrong? Are we done?" Lapis asked in confusion when Mo Yuan suddenly stopped.
"If we keep fighting like this, it won't do us much good. We need a teacher to guide us."
"A teacher? Who's qualified to teach us with the strength we have now?" Lapis said arrogantly.
Mo Yuan stared at Lapis, speechless.
Young man, it was obvious you'd never been beaten down by life.
You had this little bit of strength and thought you were invincible?
"There's someone right here."
"Here? Who? You don't mean Mr. Popo, do you? Hahahaha—"
Although they could now consider Mr. Popo a friend, Lapis didn't believe that someone he'd knocked out in a single blow could teach him.
Mo Yuan said with certainty, "Don't look down on Mr. Popo. I can tell you plainly: if you had the same strength, you absolutely wouldn't be able to beat him."
Then Mo Yuan walked over to Mr. Popo.
"Mr. Popo, could you teach us how to fight?"
"Of course!" Mr. Popo agreed without hesitation.
As a friend, Mr. Popo naturally wouldn't refuse such a small favor.
Besides, the stronger Mo Yuan and Lapis became, the safer the Earth would be.
No matter how he looked at it, Mr. Popo had no reason to refuse.
"Mr. Popo, let's fight. I'll lower my battle power to match yours. Let's see if you can beat me!"
Lapis looked at Mr. Popo, unconvinced.
Mr. Popo nodded and walked over with a mysterious smile.
Mo Yuan went and sat beside Lazuli, then whispered, "Lapis is about to get beaten up."
"No way?"
Mo Yuan's words left Lazuli astonished.
She knew Lapis's battle power. She didn't think her younger brother was that much weaker than Mr. Popo.
Mo Yuan raised an eyebrow. "Want to make a bet?"
"What are we betting?"
"If Lapis loses, you kiss me."
"And if he wins?"
"Then I'll kiss you."
Lazuli: (。•ˇ‸ˇ•。) Get lost!
While they flirted, Lapis and Mr. Popo had already started fighting.
Since Lapis had lowered his battle power to match Mr. Popo's, there was no need to sense their ki during the fight.
They could see everything clearly with their naked eyes.
Lapis charged at Mr. Popo aggressively.
But Mr. Popo stood where he was, not moving his feet once, and dodged or blocked every one of Lapis's attacks.
He even counterattacked and landed several blows on Lapis.
The longer they fought, the more alarmed Lapis became.
It was as if Mr. Popo could see right through all his attacks.
And every time Mr. Popo attacked, Lapis found himself unable to dodge.
"Aah!!"
Unwilling to accept defeat, Lapis powered up in an instant.
He raised his ki to its maximum—the maximum possible while keeping his battle power equal to Mr. Popo's.
His fists, feet, knees, and elbows became weapons, hammering at Mr. Popo without holding back.
He even mixed in Ki Blasts.
Now, even Mr. Popo, with all his combat experience, could no longer stay completely still as he had before.
But all Lapis's attacks did was force Mr. Popo to move.
As for beating Mr. Popo?
That was impossible.
Mr. Popo strolled through Lapis's furious barrage as casually as an old man taking a walk in the park.
Each time, he dodged Lapis's attacks by the narrowest margin.
And every time Mr. Popo struck back, he landed a precise hit on Lapis.
Ten minutes later.
Lapis stopped.
It wasn't because he was tired. He could've kept fighting at this level for a month without getting tired.
He was convinced.
In just ten short minutes, he'd been thoroughly convinced.
He admitted that Mr. Popo truly had the ability—and the right—to be his teacher.
