Honkai, I Alone Save Everything

One is the issue of freshness, and the other is the difficulty of depicting a purely reincarnation-based story over a long arc. Not to mention, this book is essentially a fanfiction, dancing with shackles on.

With my limited strength, I don't have the confidence to write a good story relying solely on a reincarnation cheat.

Therefore, I've added another combat-oriented cheat for the protagonist as a plot device and long-term development goal.

Well, to put it simply, it's similar superpowers centered around the authority of the twelve Herrschers.

The Herrscher of Thunder that has already appeared corresponds to Railgun, and I will continue to develop other abilities based on this in the future.

In a few more chapters, the protagonist will gain a second ability.

Besides what has already been revealed in the synopsis, you can all try to guess what abilities each Herrscher corresponds to—basically, they are all chosen from popular anime works, past or present. (Actually, the author's scope of knowledge isn't that broad.)

After all, if the choices are too obscure, readers will have a higher cost of understanding.

Of course, some things haven't been completely decided yet, so suggestions are welcome. (For example, the abilities corresponding to the Herrscher of Wind, Herrscher of Domination, and Herrscher of Corruption haven't been finalized yet...)

As the Herrscher of Origin, Ai will naturally be included, and her abilities will also play a very important role in the development and ending of the story, which has already been confirmed.

Although at this stage, the protagonist who has enrolled in St. Freya seems to no longer need this time-rewind cheat to save their life, in future plot developments, protagonist Ming Yu might have to rely on it frequently to survive (laughs).

As a side note, after watching the PV for Honkai Impact 3rd's second part, I have a slightly pessimistic attitude towards its future plot development. After all, replacing the entire protagonist team at once is a bit too radical.

This is almost equivalent to completely abandoning the established player base. Personally, I feel it would have been better to at least have Susannah lead a team to Mars. She has enough room for growth with her weaker strength, and her personality, similar to the early Kiana, would be more easily accepted by players.

Moreover, the character designs for the new protagonist team in the second part... at least from what has been revealed so far, they are really not my cup of tea (even their names are quite convoluted and difficult to remember).

The overall character design has an obvious imitation of Honkai: Star Rail, losing the Honkai: Impact 3rd flavor. But honestly, compared to the current characters in Honkai: Star Rail, there's a clear gap. I hope they can optimize it.

In short, I still hope Honkai: Impact 3rd can continue.

Let me also share some thoughts about our book:

The previous book started directly from the Queen's arrival, so it skipped the St. Freya academy life. At that time, I hadn't seriously researched the stories from that period.

Since I chose an earlier entry point this time, I diligently read all the relevant timeline manga.

There are quite a few common inconsistencies and contradictions regarding prior lore.

For example, the common "Himeko found no survivors from her ship, but Raven alone rescued over a dozen children," "Theresa dispatched an A-rank Valkyrie and demanded she capture the Herrscher alive," or "The Honkai outbreak occurred in the morning, but Himeko, dawdling, only arrived at the scene for rescue in the evening – is this a commander who has fought on the front lines for years?"

And also, character designs and actions:

For instance, Bronya, without Seele, I believe she should have been more grief-stricken in the early stages. She shouldn't have been as depicted in the manga, happily enjoying school life as if she had completely forgotten about Seele upon meeting Mei.

(Of course, in the game's progression, Seele becoming a protagonist team member happened later. In the very early days, Bronya's character design was indeed that she liked Mei and formed a love triangle with Kiana, with no involvement from Seele. In a sense, Seele, you are the one who arrived later!)

As for Kiana slacking off at St. Freya, that's a common topic. With the same bloodline and talent, Durandal became A-rank at 12 and was promoted to S a few years later, while Bronya was always slacking off, remaining at an intermediate combat power even during the Queen's arrival, never training seriously. (From Bronya's rapid growth during the Celestial Ranger period later on, it's clear she was simply lazy and didn't train.)

Laziness itself isn't a problem, but this lazy bug setting, when combined with "Theresa promising to help her find her father if she became an A-rank Valkyrie," becomes quite difficult to stomach.

Sometimes I can't help but want the protagonist to directly ask the lazy bug Kiana from the St. Freya period: "Do you really want to find your dad? Or are you just saying that?"

As for Mei, as the first free protagonist, this weak author researched the Escape from Nagazora arc and confirmed that the Herrscher of Thunder was indeed holding back.

Known: Kiana and the Herrscher of Thunder fought on the rooftop for twenty rounds.

Known: When the trio escaped in Nagazora City, they encountered a large Honkai beast. The three of them together were no match, and Kiana was directly beaten to near death and fainted.

Also known: After the Herrscher of Thunder took over, she casually and instantly killed the Honkai beast and easily suppressed Himeko, who had activated her technology.

The conclusion can be drawn: the so-called rooftop battle was purely the Herrscher of Thunder holding back. If she really wanted to kill someone, it would have been as simple as moving her fingers.

Of course, this is also obvious.

Furthermore, considering the mid-to-late game plot development, it's also evident that the Herrscher of Thunder was not evil at all, being completely similar to the Black Kiana in personality.

From beginning to end, she never did anything detrimental to Mei, at most just calling her a coward;

When Mei needed power, she gave it very casually, just like that;

In the few times she appeared, she was mostly in rescue missions, fighting either Welt or the Queen.

Honestly, with such a well-behaved, capable, and likable character, I don't understand why the scriptwriters had to forcefully kill her off in Chapter 17.

(Another plot point here is that the Herrscher of Thunder was present during the rooftop period and was persuaded by Kiana to give up, yet Kiana largely ignored her afterward, even calling her an imposter...)

It's too forced to say that the Herrscher of Thunder's personality had to die for Mei to fully master her power...

In reality, she and Mei could have coexisted perfectly, just like Black and White Seele.

So, in this book, I've kept the Herrscher of Thunder's personality alive.

The previous book had a volume dedicated to writing about the Herrscher of Thunder, who was also one of the heroines. However, due to my limited writing ability, I couldn't give her much screen time. This book makes up for that.

Besides Mei, another important character in the early stages is Little Eighth.

Honkai Impact 3rd's initial popularity queen, for some reason, was shelved by Lao Mi when she was at her peak. She didn't get an armor for several years, and in the plot, she hid behind Theresa until the end of the first part, which is truly baffling.

And the Divine Key, Jizo Mitama, which the two generations of Sakura exchanged their lives for, was not used at all by the end of the game's first main story, and it wasn't even clearly stated who possessed it.

From a creative logic perspective, this is a gun that never fired, which seems very strange.

(When the Elysian Realm was not yet finished, I once speculated that Jizo Mitama, an erosion from the previous civilization, would eventually be used to counter the erosion of the current civilization, as this was almost the only scenario where Jizo Mitama had a chance to be used... and it could also lead to a reunion scene between Sakura and Rin in different worlds.)

Of course, despite saying all this, I personally still really like the Honkai Impact 3rd work.

What I particularly like is the Captain's storyline—characters like Stargazer, Luna, Crescent, Delta, Twilight, and Violet are even more likable to me than many main story characters.

Unfortunately, with the conclusion of this version's Story of Seasons event, it has officially come to an end.

In short, this year's "Old Mi" (referring to miHoYo) has given me the impression of wanting to "quickly wrap up all the loose ends from the first part and the Captain's storyline, then start the second part."

I hope I'll still have opportunities to make guest appearances in events after the second part begins, and that it doesn't truly end like this...

Although "Battleship's Bizarre Adventure" has concluded, it doesn't mean a new one called "Shenzhou Shipwreck Records" can't be started, right?

In any case, for any illogical points or inconsistencies that appeared earlier, I've basically made revisions based on my own understanding and the needs of the plot.

As for stories that took place before the main story, such as Joyce's and Sirin's, I will also insert them into the plot through special methods.

(As a proud purple-haired Sirin enthusiast, Little Sirin will definitely appear later~)

This time, I've chosen Joyce's storyline around the time of the story's release.

Honestly, the visual novel "Anti-Entropy" was written so incredibly well. No matter how many times I read it, I still feel a sense of lingering regret for the endings of Joyce and the others who died in battle. I really want to punch Otto's dog-like face.

When it came to adapting it for the book, many parts didn't leave much room for adaptation; I basically had to be a plagiarist. Fortunately, I completed most of this part before the story went live. From here on out, it's just the concluding parts.

Well, I won't spoil that, but you'll be able to read it tomorrow or the day after.

Regarding the characters who will appear in the latter half of this book, since they are essentially cheat abilities related to Herrscher powers, various Herrschers will also appear.

For example, Anna, whom I particularly like. (Beautiful, kind-hearted, and with a great figure. I wonder when she'll make a comeback in the game.)

And of course, Wendy. (We still don't know how the Titan's son, who was easily defeated by other Herrschers, managed to defeat Wendy so easily.)

As for Chen Tianwu... well, he probably won't become a Herrscher.

Also, although it's well-known that Honkai Impact 3rd is a game with yuri elements, my book will not involve that aspect. All the female-female relationships in the original work will be considered nothing more than friends or close friends.

This is a harem-oriented Honkai fanfiction, and there won't be any situations where wings get tangled.

Speaking of which, I still haven't even managed to pull a character from the "Moonlight" event...
