Background / History

Kiana was a student at Chiba Academy and had been searching for her missing father, Siegfried. During the Third Honkai Eruption, she fought her way to the academy rooftop with a baseball bat to rescue Raiden Mei, mistakenly believing Ming Yu was the Herrscher responsible for the disaster. Her strike caused Ming Yu to collapse onto Mei, resulting in an accidental kiss. 11 12

After Chiba Academy’s destruction, Theresa recruited Kiana into St. Freya Academy. Kiana accepted because Theresa promised to reveal Siegfried’s whereabouts once she reached A-Rank Valkyrie. 15

Initially, Kiana relied on her Kaslana physique rather than disciplined training. Fu Hua easily defeated her during the academy assessment and identified her as a B-Rank Valkyrie with substantial talent but poor fundamentals, impatience, and inadequate cultural education. 18 Her poor academic performance later led Theresa to assign Ming Yu as her tutor. 29 30

Fu Hua brought Kiana to Singapore for practical training. There, the HSGN-b46 serum reduced Kiana’s physical condition to that of an ordinary girl, but she still chose to remain and oppose Cocolia’s plan rather than escape. Ming Yu, operating under the name “Nameless,” saved her and Dr. Magi from Anti-Entropy. 96 107 108

Ming Yu then forced Kiana to confront the memories she had repressed: her past destruction, Siegfried’s loss of an arm, and the truth that the Second Herrscher’s Core had been implanted in her. When he threatened Siegfried, Kiana instinctively invoked her authority to protect her father. 109 110

Following the Singapore incident, Kiana openly identified herself to Ming Yu as the Second Herrscher and sought his help controlling the hostile will within her. She began attending Fu Hua’s morning training, determined to strengthen herself rather than remain passive. 116 117 Her rapid progress eventually earned her promotion to A-Rank Valkyrie. 186
