Son Goku's unmasked, burning gaze made Son Goten feel uneasy, and he retreated a few steps without leaving a trace. Zhuge had once said that low IQ was contagious, so it was better to keep his distance.

As for the World Martial Arts Tournament, after Son Goku and his group left without a shred of courtesy and failed to return, the organizers were in a heated discussion: should they disqualify Son Goku's party, and... what should they do next?

"What's going on?"

"I don't know, what happened to them?"

The audience, seeing the matches come to a halt, began to discuss the situation with confusion.

"Well... due to several contestants leaving without cause—a situation that has never occurred before—the judges are currently deliberating. Please wait, everyone," the blonde judge said. Seeing the scene spiraling out of control, he utilized his experience as a long-time host, and the audience finally settled down.

The blonde judge had his own silent grievances. Son Goku-sama, why did you just walk off like that? I've looked forward to this for so many years; the least you could do is finish the tournament!

Only three contestants remained: Android 18, Jera (the dark-skinned man who had fought the Masked Fighter disguised as Son Goten), and Pui Pui (a total sissy who was supposed to fight Yamu; it was fortunate Yamu had left early, or he would have been "GG" by now).

"How about a battle royale?" one audience member shouted.

"Yeah, a battle royale!"

"Exactly, at least then we'd get to see Mr. Satan."

That audience member's words quickly resonated with the others. They were mainly there to watch Satan show off, though they had no idea that their so-called hero, Satan, was currently unconscious thanks to that punch from Son Goten.

"What about Mr. Satan? Go get him ready!"

The tournament organizers quickly accepted the audience's proposal. In their eyes, Satan was so formidable that he had even defeated Cell; a mere battle royale was nothing. Even if those three teamed up, it wouldn't matter—and one of them was a woman, anyway.

They had forgotten the terrifying score Android 18 had achieved on the punch machine.

"Um, we're here to invite Mr. Satan to the stage," several backstage staff members said to Satan's bodyguards, standing outside his private VIP room.

"No," a burly bodyguard rejected the request. Are you kidding? Look at the state he's in; how can he go out there? Besides, the young lady hasn't returned yet.

Out on the ocean, Videl, who had followed Son Gohan and Kibito out of curiosity and was now on her way back, was: ...

"Why?" the staff member asked, confused.

"Well, Mr. Satan is currently meditating and cannot be disturbed," a thinner bodyguard said.

"Meditating?" The man looked at the thin bodyguard with suspicion.

"That's right. Every time Mr. Satan meditates, his power reaches its most terrifying peak," the thin bodyguard said with a sinister tone. "Whenever Mr. Satan meditates, a fearsome energy surrounds him. Last time he meditated, Cell was foolish enough to disturb him, and well... you know what happened next."

Cell, in Hell: ...

One look at this guy and you could tell he'd been by Satan's side for a long time; his ability to lie through his teeth was no joke. At the very least, the backstage staff were all filled with fear. If someone as tough as Cell had been finished off, what chance did they have?

Damn it, if I weren't actually Cell, I might have even believed that, the Cell in Hell thought, furious.

"Sorry to have bothered you," the staff members said, stumbling away.

Once the staff were out of sight, the burly bodyguard patted the thin one on the shoulder. "Good work, kid."

"It was nothing," the thin bodyguard said, scratching his head awkwardly. It was a good thing his "talk-no-jutsu" was up to par.

"Has Mr. Satan woken up yet?" the thin bodyguard asked, looking at Satan, who was still lying in the VIP room.

"Not yet," the burly bodyguard shook his head. He recalled that terrifying brat; even he felt a sense of dread. Damn, a kid that strong, knocking an adult out for this long.

Son Goten: Save it. My fist is enough to keep him down for a day. He wants to wake up? Heh.

With no experts left in the tournament, Android 18 easily took the championship. If Satan wanted to show off, he could try again next year.

In an unknown location.

The battle between Dabura, who had emerged from the Meditation Room, and Son Gohan was in full swing.

Dabura handled Son Gohan in his Super Saiyan state with ease. Dodging a sweeping kick from Gohan, Dabura took a deep breath, and then... Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu.

He spat out a fireball that roared toward Son Gohan. Gohan leaped into the air to dodge it, using the momentum to charge at Dabura.

"Swish."

Having seen through everything, Dabura used a technique similar to the Afterimage Technique, leaving an image behind. Son Gohan struck the afterimage, his punch hitting nothing but air.

"I'm over here," Dabura shouted from a distance, playing with Gohan like a cat with a mouse. He opened his palm toward Gohan, and a sphere of lava energy erupted from it, hurtling toward him.

"Boom."

Distracted for a split second, Son Gohan was struck by the lava sphere, crashing through a mountain peak before falling into the water with a splash.

"Swish."

Son Gohan burst out of the water, his clothes tattered. He glared at Dabura with a face full of rage, grabbed his green outer garment, and with a forceful "rip," tore it off.

Dabura stood there confidently, watching Gohan's anger with a playful expression, as if everything were under his control.
