34. Shocking Turn of Events! Vegeta Has Been Absorbed

"Boom!" Vegeta had no habit of waiting for others to prepare before fighting. The moment Buu lost focus, he struck like a blade drawn from its sheath, his speed crossing space itself so quickly that Buu couldn't even react.

Vegeta slammed a fist hard into Buu. Buu blocked in a panic, but the terrifying force sent him flying once again.

"Such speed," Son Goku stared blankly at Vegeta's near-teleportation movement; even he hadn't reacted in time.

"Boom."

Having regained his senses, Buu fought Vegeta with all his might. Every collision sounded as if it would deafen them, and ripples of space tore through the air wherever they clashed.

Vegeta's new power was truly formidable, suppressing even Buu for the time being.

"Bam!"

"Whoosh."

Seizing the opportunity, Vegeta kicked Buu away. He rapidly condensed the energy within his body, spreading his arms wide and curling his palms into claws. Golden energy compressed frantically, sparks of electricity dancing around him. He brought his clawed hands together in front of his chest in a calyx shape, mimicking a horizontally fired Kamehameha.

"Final—Flash!"

Vegeta let out a roar, and a golden beam of energy erupted, piercing the sky as it slammed violently into Buu.

"Boom."

"Aaaargh!"

Struck by the golden energy, Buu shrieked. His entire form was engulfed by Vegeta's Final Flash. For that moment, the world seemed blanketed in golden light, and before everyone's eyes, Buu was swallowed by a cloud of black smoke and dust.

"Is... Buu destroyed?"

Son Gohan asked in surprise. He couldn't sense Buu's ki at all now. He couldn't help but click his tongue; Uncle Vegeta was truly badass! Even his own self from seven years ago would have to kneel before the current Vegeta!

The dust gradually settled. Indeed, there wasn't a trace of Buu left; it was as if not even a single cell remained. Son Goten and Son Goku exchanged glances and used their Flight Technique to reach the spot where Buu had vanished to investigate.

Was Buu really dead just like that? That was impossible, right? Son Goten didn't believe Buu had died so easily, and neither did Son Goku. Even if Buu's strength was inferior to Vegeta's, he shouldn't have been taken out this easily.

"Huff, huff, huff," Vegeta panted. That Final Flash had drained too much of his stamina, so he descended to the ground to recover.

Yet, even while catching his breath, Vegeta couldn't help but laugh. "Hahaha! That is the price for looking down on this prince, Buu."

"Kakarot, let's duel once I've recovered my strength. That last bout wasn't finished yet," Vegeta laughed heartily.

They searched for a long time without finding a single trace of Buu. Even Son Goten began to waver. Could Buu really be finished?

"Supreme Kai, is Buu really dead?" Son Gohan asked, unable to believe it.

"I suppose... perhaps... he is dead!" Supreme Kai was also rattled. Damn it, how should I know? I've never seen how Buu dies!

"Whew."

"Whoosh."

Vegeta exhaled softly, his aura rising like boiling water. He felt his power increase just a little bit more.

"Kakarot, Majin Buu is dead, let's resume our—ugh." Before Vegeta could finish, a mass of pink, sticky liquid surged out from a crack in the earth beneath his feet with lightning speed.

"Vegeta!" Son Goku shouted.

"Damn it!" Vegeta thrashed his body, trying to shake off the liquid, but unfortunately, he was completely enveloped.

The pink slime gradually formed a humanoid shape. It was Majin Buu, whom everyone thought dead. This version of Majin Buu looked more human than before; his hands now had five fingers like a normal person, his facial features were more defined, the short antenna on his head had grown down to his hips, and he now wore a blue, tight-fitting vest identical to Vegeta's.

"This guy... he absorbed Vegeta," Son Goku stared in a daze. How had Majin Buu moved over there? He hadn't noticed a thing.

"Hahaha!" Having absorbed Vegeta, Buu looked up and laughed wildly. He inspected his new appearance with satisfaction; after absorbing Vegeta, he had not only gained his power but could now use his techniques as well.

"Not bad, not bad. This power is what the universe's number one Majin Buu should possess. Ahahaha!"

"Whoosh."

Buu laughed maniacally, releasing his energy without restraint. At that moment, the world seemed to fall into an earthquake; Buu's terrifying power made even the world tremble.

"This guy's power... it's increased so much. We're in trouble," Son Goku gritted his teeth in frustration.

Damn, he actually got this strong. This is bad. If I'm not careful, I'll be pushing up daisies by next year, Son Goten thought, cold sweat dripping down his forehead. With Vegeta, the second lead, absorbed, there would be no chance for the cool and arrogant Vegito to make an appearance. What a disaster.

Son Goten steeled his heart and shouted to Son Goku, "Dad, do you know how to make an Artificial Moon?"

"Nani?" Son Goku paused. His gaze caught the brown tail wrapped around Son Goten's waist, and he instantly understood what his son meant. "No way, Goten. If you turn into a Golden Great Ape, you'll lose your mind."

"But Buu is already this strong! Unless I turn into a Great Ape, I won't even have the strength to put up a fight!"

Son Goten knew that with his bloodline, if he transformed into a Great Ape and evolved into a Golden Great Ape, he might have the power to fight Vegeta-Buu. However, he didn't know if he could retain his humanity like Goku did in GT; otherwise, he would have relied on his tail to transform into a Super Saiyan 4 long ago.
