Son Goten's Great Ape Transformation

"Then hurry up and do it," Son Goten said, his face full of rage. He really wanted to beat this moronic Supreme Kai to death. Damn it, can't you see the situation is already critical?

"Oh, oh, oh," the Supreme Kai was a bit dazed by Son Goten's scolding, but he still complied with the request, feeling as though he had no human rights... er, wrong, no divine rights.

The Supreme Kai stretched his hands straight out in front of him, surging with immense divine power. Outside the Earth, a spherical body about a quarter the size of the planet slowly began to take shape. It wasn't easy for the Supreme Kai, though; creating a planet was a massive undertaking even for a deity, and he was the weakest of them all.

Aside from Son Goku and Majin Buu, who were locked in a fierce battle, Son Gohan and Trunks stared blankly at the creation of the planet. It was truly the handiwork of a god, even if this god was weak as trash.

"Boom."

"Boom."

"Boom."

Son Goku and Majin Buu fought with increasing intensity, paying no mind to the Supreme Kai's actions. As the battle progressed, Son Goku unleashed more and more power, and Majin Buu, refusing to be outdone, released even more of his own. The entire world seemed to tremble, and every stray burst of energy was enough to level a town.

"Alright, whew, whew, whew."

After half an hour of outputting his full power, a brand-new moon was complete. However, the Supreme Kai had exhausted so much of his divine power that his arms hung limply at his sides, and he didn't even have the strength to move.

"Thank you, Supreme Kai," Son Goten said, thanking him before loosening the tail that had been wrapped around his waist. It swayed behind him, just like a real monkey's.

"Goten, don't tell me you..." Son Gohan looked on in disbelief. Even a fool could see Son Goten's intentions, and he quickly shouted, "No! Goten, if you transform, you'll lose your mind!"

Son Gohan was filled with worry. When he was a child fighting Vegeta, Vegeta had said that once his father's low-class warrior bloodline transformed into a Great Ape, he would lose his sanity and become a beast that only knew how to destroy.

"And even if you transform, you won't be able to beat Majin Buu," Son Gohan yelled.

"That's right, Goten, we can think of another way," Trunks also opposed the transformation, while simultaneously hating himself for having his tail removed; perhaps he could have helped if he still had it.

"How do you know if we don't try?" A strange smile tugged at the corner of Son Goten's mouth as he looked up and stared fixedly at the moon.

"Thump."

As Son Goten stared intently at the moon, his tail seemed to transmit some kind of information, causing his gaze to go blank. His heart gave a violent jolt, as if it were trying to leap out of his chest.

"Thump-thump."

Son Goten's heartbeat accelerated from seventy beats per minute to several beats per second. The sound grew louder and heavier, to the point where even Trunks, standing nearby, could hear it.

"Thump-thump-thump."

"Arghhh!"

Son Goten's vacant expression suddenly turned ferocious. A beast-like roar erupted from his throat, and his pupils vanished, leaving his eyes entirely blood-red. The energy within him began to surge violently; brown-black fur sprouted all over his body, his youthful face began to distort, and his clothes burst apart until nothing remained.

"Boom."

Son Goku and Majin Buu, currently locked in combat, both stopped and looked at Son Goten in confusion. His transformation left them stunned.

"Yaahhh!"

Son Goten roared toward the sky, his body gradually growing larger, covered almost entirely in brown-black fur, until he finally transformed into a massive brown-black Great Ape.

"Damn it, Goten... the kid actually transformed," Son Goku whispered, his face grim. Although he blamed Son Goten, the worry in his eyes was plain for all to see.

"This is... the Great Ape Transformation," Majin Buu said, reading the knowledge from Vegeta's memories. He was astonished; this transformation had long been abandoned by Vegeta, yet someone was still using it.

"Roar."

"Whoosh."

Suddenly, the Great Ape erupted with a golden aura, much like a Super Saiyan transformation. The brown-black Great Ape turned into a Golden Great Ape, leaving everyone present in shock.

"What's going on? How can a Great Ape turn golden?"

This was the thought shared by everyone present. WTF? Can someone explain what the hell is going on? Everyone wore an expression of utter bewilderment.

"Ugh," outside the Martial Arts Tournament venue, Chi-Chi suddenly felt as if her heart had been squeezed. She said with a pained expression, "What's going on? This feeling is so strange!"

"Chi-Chi, what's wrong?" Bulma asked, worried by her friend's appearance.

"I don't know. I've never felt like this before. It's as if something terrible is happening," Chi-Chi frowned, gazing into the distance with a worried look. Goku, Gohan, Goten, please, don't let anything happen to you.

"Roar~"

"Thud, thud, thud."

The Golden Great Ape let out a roar, beat his chest with both fists, and opened his mouth wide, unleashing a blast of fire toward the battlefield where Son Goku and Majin Buu were fighting.

Son Goku and Majin Buu's expressions changed, and they both leaped away to dodge the flames.

The Great Ape beat his chest in a show of dominance, then charged toward Majin Buu on all fours, each step causing the earth to tremble.

"Bang."

"Pow."

With one punch, he sent Majin Buu flying, and with another, he struck Son Goku.

"Damn it," Son Goku said, steadying himself after being knocked back, his face grim. "Goten... he's already lost his consciousness."
