"Then do it already," Son Goten said angrily. He really wanted to beat this idiot Supreme Kai to death. Damn it, couldn't he see they were at their wits' end?
"Oh, oh, oh." The Supreme Kai was a little dazed by Son Goten's scolding, but he still did as he was asked. He felt like he had no rights... No, wait, divine rights.
The Supreme Kai stretched both hands out in front of him, surging divine power in his palms. Beyond Earth, a spherical body a quarter of the planet's size slowly took shape. The Supreme Kai struggled, though. Creating a planet was a huge undertaking even for a Supreme Kai, and he was the weakest one of all.
Everyone except Son Goku and Buu, who were locked in fierce battle, stared blankly at the creation of a planet. This was indeed the work of a god, even if that god was pathetically weak.

Son Goku and Majin Buu fought with ever-increasing ferocity, paying no attention to what the Supreme Kai was doing. As the battle went on, Son Goku unleashed more and more of his power, and Buu was no slouch, releasing more of his own. The entire world seemed to tremble, and every stray burst of energy could destroy a town.

After half an hour of pouring out all his power, he had completed a brand-new moon. But the Supreme Kai had used up too much of his divine power. His arms drooped limply, and he didn't even have the strength to move.
"Thank you, Supreme Kai." Son Goten thanked him, then untied the tail that had been wrapped around his waist. It swished back and forth behind him like the tail of a real monkey.
"Goten, don't tell me you..." Son Gohan stared at him in disbelief. Even an idiot could see what Son Goten intended to do. He hurriedly shouted, "No, Goten! If you transform, you'll lose control!"
Son Gohan was worried sick. When he was little and fighting Vegeta, Vegeta had told him that if his father's low-class warrior bloodline turned into a Great Ape, he would lose his reason and become a beast that did nothing but destroy.
"And even if you transform, you still won't be able to beat Majin Buu!" Son Gohan shouted.
"Exactly, Goten. We can still try something else," Trunks said, also opposing the transformation. At the same time, he regretted pulling off his own tail. Maybe he could have helped a little otherwise.
"How will we know unless we try?" A strange smile tugged at Son Goten's lips. Then he tilted his head back and stared fixedly at the moon.

Son Goten's heart rate, which had started at more than seventy beats per second, slowed to just a few. The sound of his heartbeat grew louder and heavier. Even Trunks, standing beside him, could hear it.

"Raaah!"
Son Goten's blank expression suddenly twisted into a grimace, and a beastly roar burst from his mouth. His pupils vanished, leaving his eyes completely bloodshot. The energy inside him began to surge. Coarse, dark brown fur appeared on his body, his childish face began to change shape, and his clothes burst apart until not a scrap remained.
Boom.
Son Goku and Majin Buu stopped fighting and stared at Son Goten in bewilderment. His transformation had caught them by surprise.
"Yaaah!"
Son Goten threw back his head and roared. His body began to grow, and coarse, dark brown fur covered almost every inch of him. At last, he became a dark brown Great Ape.
"Damn it, Goten... The kid transformed after all." Son Goku muttered under his breath, his face grim. He blamed Son Goten with his words, but the worry in his eyes was plain for anyone to see.
"Great Ape Transformation..." Majin Buu said in surprise, recognizing the transformation from Vegeta's memories. Vegeta had long since abandoned it, yet someone else had transformed.
"Roar!"
Fwoom.
Like a Super Saiyan transforming, the Great Ape suddenly erupted in golden flames. The dark brown Great Ape turned golden, leaving everyone present stunned.
"What happened? How did the Great Ape turn golden?"
That was what everyone present was thinking. What the hell was going on? Could someone explain? They all looked as if they'd just seen a dog fart.
"Uh..." Outside the Martial Arts Tournament venue, Chi-Chi suddenly felt as if her heart had been squeezed. Frowning, she said, "What's going on? This feeling is so strange!"
"Chi-Chi, what's wrong?" Bulma asked with concern, noticing how strange Chi-Chi seemed.
"I'm not sure. I've never felt this way before. It's like something bad has happened." Chi-Chi furrowed her brows and gazed into the distance, worried. Goku, Gohan, Goten... Please be all right.

The Golden Great Ape let out a roar and pounded its chest with both fists. Then it opened its mouth wide and spat a stream of fire toward the battlefield where Son Goku and Majin Buu were fighting.
Son Goku and Buu's expressions changed. They both leaped away to dodge the Great Ape's flames.
The Great Ape pounded its chest in a show of strength, then charged toward Buu on all fours. Each step shook the earth.
Bang.
Thud.
One punch sent Buu flying; another slammed into Son Goku.
"Damn it!" Son Goku steadied himself after being sent flying, his expression grim. "Goten's lost consciousness!"
