Once he returned to the Tower, the first thing Allen did was throw the Lethifold into the Pentagram Array in the Imprisonment Chamber and lock it up. His and Luna's most important task right now was studying the Banshee Blair they had just obtained—studying spirits, and finding a way for Helena to recover some of the sensations and abilities only the living possessed.

With this Banshee, who had been called Blair in life, Luna and Allen began their formal research, shifting their time and energy to the study of spirits. In the Binding Room engraved with confinement arrays, Blair stood within the Pentagram Array formed of Mithril, her face like a skull, her body radiating a silver-green glow. The Banshee, usually so terrifying, now looked as pitiful as a lamb before Allen and Luna. Under Allen and Luna's various perception and detection spells, her body constantly dissolved into black smoke, changed into all sorts of shapes, then finally condensed back into its original form.

During this time, her screams rang endlessly through the Perception Room. If Muggles or ordinary wizards heard that shrill, eerie wail, they would die on the spot. But for Luna and Allen, whose wills were strong because of the Attribute Potion and who had grasped the power of death, it did not have much effect. Still, if they were not focused and prepared in a confrontation, it could cause them a fairly severe dizzying effect, much like hearing the scream of an immature Mandrake.

Inside the room, many Acromantulas lay silently on the floor, belly-up. Their huge, sharp jointed limbs curled above their bodies. Even the Acromantulas that had already fled to the doorway and put some distance between themselves and Blair failed to survive the Banshee's piercing scream.
